A great place to come watch the World Cup! Came in when Mexico was playing Korea and it was a lively room. Shrimp cheviche was excellent, kitchen was quick and the servers were quick to refill drinks and chips. Located right on TO Blvd in a strip mall; it would be easy to blow right by it without being steered in that direction. The restaurant itself was clean and the furniture & decor was fitting giving it an authentic feel. The restaurant was quiet and felt very spread out the night we went, admittedly it may have been that way as it was just after the new year. There is no bar, just a restaurant which dulled the vibe somewhat I ordered the chicken fajitas/shrimp and a cup of vegetable soup and my wife had the taco and enchilada combo. The food honestly was just ok- both of us felt that the food quality was decent but it just lacked flavor. The price I thought was fair. Our waiter was Alfredo who was great and provided us with good service. Worth a try, Yelp gives it a 3.2, I think you should form your own opinion on this one. read more

We have been going here for over 20 years. We asked for more chips and the waiter took the basket to go get more. Then the manager came and informed us that a second basket of chips would be an extra charge. We said no thank you. Our server came back and apologized and I asked him how much the extra charge was. An enjoyable meal! We visited this restaurant for the first time this evening for dinner. The order included a burrito, and a combination meal. The salad is crisp and served on a cold plate. It is obvious they go the extra step. A mango margarita was ordered and it was very large and looked beautiful. However, it did cost 15.50 and we didn't taste any alcohol in it at all. It was delicious but more like a slush. The food prices were fair and the portions were adequate. The entrees were seasoned well and very tasty. The service was excellent. We also ordered a to-go order and it was reasonably priced and packed very nicely. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The restrooms were extremely clean. Looking for something different? The place we wanted was too busy for our time schedule so we popped in here as it was just a few blocks closer to the freeway. Upon reflection, I see why there was no waiting on a Tuesday at 12 noon. Nothing we tried was memorable. The food was okay, not bad, just not anything I'd get again. We keep hearing about the cost of running a business but this place seems to be charging excessively more than other places around town with much better food. The website is woefully outdated and the bill shows higher prices than the menu. They also don't tell you the service charge is waived if you pay cash. I had lunch here for the third time today. It is a great location for those of us who need a place to meet up 'halfway' from between west valley & Ventura. They already have a number of reviews therefore I only have a couple of comments to add: First, the negative reviews seem to be about the service. I've only been here for lunch so can't comment on the dinner staff. I've always found the service to be terrific. They were on top of it and available when needed. And they are good at clearing the table and bringing the check promptly.  They've always been smiling and friendly.  Next, as most have commented, the food is very good.  They have a wonderful mole!  I can only find it on one dish, the enchiladas, so I suspect it may not be made in house.  (My apologies if they do) Nevertheless, it's a great mole.  I wish they had more options they served it with. read more

Easy to miss hole in the wall in a strip mall, but worth stopping by for affordably delicious food! There's free parking and although Los Dos Amigos is small, it's brightly and beautifully decorated, making it a cozy eatery to dine in. Staff is very attentive and helpful to every need as I ordered the Mexican Combo which is delicious and the perfect amount of food. I come to this restaurant at least once a month and never disappointed. The service here is always for me quick and friendly staff. I was happy to see that one of the servers came over from the restaurant Pickles Deli. The restaurant can get rowdy sometimes when people have been over served but overall the food tastes good and the bean dip is so delicious! The bathrooms are always clean which is a great sign. Food quality has gone down, staff is very rude, they nearly doubled the prices for sub par Mexican food and started to advertise themselves as a "seafood grill" restaurant- which they are not.
