My mother and I hit this place up all the time. The food here is great, and pretty affordable. We usually get Johnathan and Oscar to serve us, and they both do a fantastic job. Their hard work paid off too cause I think Johnathan is now in charge of the other waiters, though I'm not entirely sure. Los Arcos is a lovely addition to the many great places to eat in Tijuana. The building itself is extremely clean and modern . I know a lot of people get the wrong idea that Tijuana is dirty and pretty sketchy, but it's gotten way better over the years and many of the places I've been to are modern and safe. So don't let the fear of going to Tijuana stop you from giving this place a chance. As for the food, I usually try to get something different each time I go. Everything I've eaten here, I've been impressed by. I wish I knew the bartender's name, cause they knock it out of the park every single time. Seriously, the cocktails here are so good. This time around I ordered a Jamaica cocktail which was fantastic. It had this sweet, frothy layer on top which I couldn't get enough of. The mojito I ordered was also pretty delicious. Very refreshing. The torched slice of lime was a great touch. My very appetizer here are the aguachile and shrimp cocktail. Los Arcos has some great seafood, so definitely check these dishes out. As for my entree, this time around I ordered...I forget the name, but it's baked fish with roasted shrimp on skewers on the top. And on top of that, fried slices of garlic. It was pretty good. My mother ordered the fried fish, which, as you can see, is pretty generous. The flavor is great too. Though watch out for the tiny pieces of bone. For dessert, we got churros and coffee. The coffee here is really, really good. Although I put cream in mine this time around, I don't usually. That should let you know its good coffee. The churros come with Carmel or condensed milk for the dipping sauces. Both are great, though I personally prefer the condensed milk. Los Arcos is a great place to eat as I've said many times in my review. In the States, Food this good would cost many times as much and the portions would be tiny. So if you want a great, affordable seafood-based meal come to this place. You won't regret it. read more

The first time we came here was on Mother's Day,but the place was packed so we ended up at our usual seafood restaurant 'Villa Marina'. In my opinion, the food at this restaurant is much better quality ( fresh ) and also reasonably priced comparatively. At the restaurant we ordered Clamato w/Corona beer, Camarones Aguachile, Sopa Mariscos Especiales & Tostada de Atún. Everything was excellent and also the overall service.I am glad we came here and will definitely be returning again soon.I highly recommend this restaurant. I've been going here since I was a child with my family. Not sure how long they've been in business but I know they've been here for at least 30+ years. This in itself shows when a business is good quality. The place is nicely decorated has plenty of seating. The food is always delicious. This time we had a deep fried fish with both red & green adobo (forgot the name). We also had cóctel de pulpo which was excellent. For desert we had Dulce de Leche Volcán, basically a Lava cake but with DDL instead of chocolate which was very good. I'm taking off one star because of their Crema de Kalua. Back in the days they would bring everybody a tiny shot of Crema Kalua, which was icy and delicious but this time the waiters looked at us with confusion when we asked them about it. Finally, one of the waiters knew what we were asking for, and they said they would whip some up at the bar for us.. We were thankful for their efforts but unfortunately, it was nothing like what we remembered. I'm guessing they lost the original recipe somewhere along the line. read more

I have been here several times over the past year and it has been nothing short of amazing. Me and the wife came in Wednesday 4/24, and everything was garbage. The host greeted us annoyed. They sat us on the side with less people thinking we would get better service but got the worst service. We placed our order and the gentleman didn't write it down. When I asked to repeat he got the wrong entree. Luckily I asked. Our drinks never came until we flagged down the floor manager. As soon as we got our drinks our entree came before our appetizer. We had to remind them. Once everything was there we never saw a waiter again. I mean they were all around but didn't check on us, for our food drinks etc. The food quality was subpar. The shrimp entree was chewy . The filet with sauce we ordered was not the same, sauce was watered down and lacking flavor. Ceviche was ok just not as good as usual. At the end we had to flag down the floor manager for our bill. We had no service but they made sure to point out where to tip on the bill. This restaurant has a high standard maybe it was an off day. But they seem more concerned with large parties, ordering bottles of wine that looked more affluent opposed to somebody who comes there regularly and spends a good amount of money and tips generously. I hope they can fix this as this is a place we frequent when in the area normally. If it's a sign of what's to come, then it just shows that their business is not going to do to well in the future. The food is superb, the flavors are right, I like to order a shrimp plate thats smooth and almost cheesy, with a touch of mustard and mayo, they call them camarones mazatlan, 10/10 its my favorite dish. My mom likes to ask for the lonja, which is a dish with a side of rice, salad and a flounder fish perfectly seasoned Smokey hints of peppers, it's definitely a savory dish. These two dishes have been excellent every single time we have gone to eat. Today I ventured out of my comfort zone and ordered the oysters, I have to say these were lacking. First I asked the server what kind of oysters they were because there are varieties, such as Damascus, Japanese oysters, and obviously oysters from different Mexican waters but the server was unfamiliar with the type, which is fine although it's specifically a seafood place that is considered to be an upscale restaurant with valet and above and beyond Customer service, so for the server not to know where the "fresh" oysters came from it was a little disappointing. The taste wasn't as amazing as, let's say, the oysters from Kings fish grill in Carlsbad, if you've gone there and tasted those oysters from different kinds of waters you can almost taste the very ocean the oysters came from. These particular oysters lost their humph or weren't very prized, still good though. My kids ordered the poblano fettuccini, it's got a kick sometimes so beware of that. They devoured it. We ordered two tostadas one was a shrimp ceviche which was excellent, and the other one was crab, equally superb. The taste was exact, lemony, salty, seasoned right. After our meals my kids ordered the churros with glaze and caramel, the dish is very good, not to greasy, toasted with sugar and cinnamon. My mom ordered the tres leches and the cake itself is something worth talking about, it's light, it's airy, it's soft, moist but holds its cake-y texture even with the milks in the cake, it wasn't too sweet, it's quite palatable. The ambiance is noisy, it's crowded but it still manages to provide the privacy that you desire to have with your family. We have never had the discomfort of being too close to another table to over hear their conversation or for them to be able to hear ours. The decor is a Spanish beach feel with coastal accents. These restaurants will continue to be here for years to come, I have gone to both this location and the Mexicali location and both locations have delivered exactly what they promise. If you are passing through and want a touch of excellent seafood take a moment to taste this place. You are certainly never forget it. read more
