Of course they also do eye exams and contact lenses as well with an active lifestyle and two toddlers. I have mishaps with my glasses frequently and they always work hard to see if they can warranty my lenses or frames or both when they break. I even had a situation in which my frames broke and were discontinued so I thought my relatively new lenses would be useless, but they were able to find another set of frames that match the specs exactly. If you want a great eye exam from a friendly doctor, call and ask for Dr. Bahn. If you already have a prescription, I need help finding glasses and ask for Wendy.

If you call them, you get to battle an AI agent to speak to the front desk. The AI agent only occasionally lets you through to a real person. If you manage to get through, the front desk staff is super overworked and alternates between just apologetic, and rude and condescending, depending on who you get. My appointment was in October and I still do not have contact lenses - two full months later. I will be looking for a new optometrist.

I have optical health included in my Kaiser plan but I come here to get my annual exam because I love it here -- it's also 3 min from my house - yes that helps but even if it was far- I'd drive there to see the smiling faces! I have been a patient at Los Altos Optometric Group since I was about 14 years old. They are the best Optometry practice I've ever visited, and I have visited many since my medical insurance changed and Los Altos Optometric Group is no longer covered. When I have any type of emergency related to my eye I still go to Los Altos Optometric Group, despite my lack of coverage for their practice, because my vision is really important to me, and if anything is wrong with my eyes I want the best (the Doctors at Los Altos Optometric Group) working on it. I recently woke up with a seriously unhappy eye and when I couldn't do anything to make it better I went straight over to Los Altos Optometric Group, they even worked me in that day even though it was already 3pm, they didn't technically have any available appointments, and I hadn't seen them in 3 years. Dr. Pesner was very personable and professional, and I felt like he understood and actually cared that I was in serious pain. He quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem, and gave me an appropriate treatment that has cleared the problem right up. They also straightened the frames on a pair of sunglasses that I told them I had bought elsewhere while I was there, which they really didn't have to do. Anyways all an all Los Altos Optometric Group is the best Optometric Group for anything from regular eye maintenance and issues to emergency care for the really unhappy eye. My parents live in Los Altos and see Dr. Anderson. Dr. Anderson is a v. good opthamologist and his wife who works there is very professional and pleasant. Some of his staff, however, leave something to be desired. The older woman at the front desk with longish hair/bangs Pesner? is beyond rude and crusty in my experience. The woman who helps with the glasses is also a challenge to deal with. I am still waiting for my glasses after two weeks and I know I'll be barked at if I call again. Sorry, am I troubling you by asking trying to give you my payment or assuming that you will do your job? Mom and Dad feel similarly, but they have time to schedule their appointments around the rude zone and will definitely stop going when Dr. Anderson fully retires, but I am only in town so often. Dr. Pesner is a jack***. My whole family has been coming long enough that I am embarrassed to say. The lady at the front desk is nice...but oh man, wait to you meet Dr. Pesner. He always presures you to take the Optomap eye image test for $50.00 for no reason. If you say no he becomes the biggest jack*** in the world because "now I have to dilate your eyes which wastes time." Not only that, he told my 14 year old sister that she had "sexy eyes." My entire family have been going to Los Altos Optometric since 2002. We have been very pleased with the services provided by Laurie, Tish and Ali. They provide service with smile. Laurie and Tish know the nuts-and-bolts of eye glasses. I play a lot of sports. My glasses are always out of alignment. Laurie and Tish will fix them in no time. NO Charge! I discovered my glasses frames broke over the weekend. The place I bought them was closed because of the pandemic. I found Los Altos Optometric Group, and was very impressed with their service. A woman fixed my frames quickly, and it wasn't an easy task since the frames are very delicate. I called again and was again told that my glasses are again broken and is not ready by the lab. I requested for money back and they agreed. In short, the two stars are only because I was treated well on my visit and they readily gave me refund. Three stars gone because they should have called me when they said they'll call me, instead of me asking for updates again and again after a long wait.

Never went back to Eyes again until yesterday to have the nose pad replaced on a Kawasaki frame I bought from them because my optometrist does not carry Kawasaki parts. They wanted $50.00 to replace the nosepad that every optometrist does for free.

The first time around they got the edge polish wrong (after 2 weeks of processing!). They had promised me matte and it came back glossy. I wore the glasses and was like whoa! Why's there's light shimmering all around my eyes? I gave it back to them, and grumpily the person said "ok we'll send it back". Then she informed me oh they don't even offer the matte finish! Then how come I was offered that in the first place? She had no idea. So she sends it back to change the finish to "satin". Well, a few days later they call me and say hey, we have to change the lens altogether, which will be another 2 weeks. Ok so after more than a month, I get my glasses back. They still feel shiny. But anyway, I get back to my life, but I keep feeling there's still some issue. I keep seeing reflections of stuff. And if someone takes pictures of me they see the flash instead of my eyes. What's going on? I finally figure it out - this lens doesn't have anti-reflective coatings. So I take it back to Cambridge. This time they say oh you declined anti-reflective. But the fact is I had shown them my previous glasses - which *do* have anti-reflective - and told them to make it the same way. They had taken a good look at it, and told me it had anti-reflective. Then why do they say I declined? Well who knows!!! Then they call me back again in 2 days and say hey you are out of our 90 day limit, so they won't do anything. They will neither fix the glasses nor refund the money. Later that afternoon I asked to speak to a doctor because a nearby optical store told me that their doctors will fix this issue for me even if the staff won't. Well, they wouldn't have a doctor speak to me. "They're busy". I have worn glasses for about 35 years of my life'. Gone through many frames and lenses. Not once did I have so much trouble with an optometry store. Not one single time. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Lots of good optometry stores in this area.
