This restaurant sits in an old historic house. It's fun imagining what went on in the past. Ordered the Birria tacos and it was quite tasty. The beef was soft and tender and the consume was great. The food here is pretty good. My friends and I got different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the quesobirria tacos and it was very good! Very filling and hearty, 3 tacos kept me so full I disnt eat dinner anymore. It has home like appeal and feeling when you dine in. Friendly and attentive staff. read more

The other reviewer gave 1 star based on hours of operations. That is such a disgusting move. They have posted that they are temporarily closed due to all the road work that is occurring for the last 8 months!! The work caused Ian was issues. It's terrible to give a new restaurant bad reviews bc they were closed. Maybe look them up and instead of attacking research. Now the food it's good can't wait til they are open again. This is a relatively new restaurant and shouldn't be blasted due to Napa doing major roadwork. Let's go Napa! Hopefully the roadwork will be done sooner than later! read more

On a quest to find some really good Mexican food. This place used to be an Italian restaurant. It's very basic inside, the silverware is on the low end. Think of dollar store. The service is prompt and courteous. I had the red chicken enchiladas and they were just okay. The sauce tasted from a can. The beans had no flavor whatsoever, rice good. The chips were very good as was the green salsa that came with them. I ended up pouring the green salsa over the enchiladas to give them more pop. They serve wine and beer, no margaritas. The food was... OK. Nothing to write home about. I received a burrito that was 60%+ rice. For $10. The meat was overcooked and flavorless. If you can drive a little bit further, drive north a little bit and go to Economy Market. Cheaper and way better. read more

My husband and I love this restaurant! The spicy green salsa and fresh crunchy chips was so good. My husband ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich and I ordered the quesabirrias plate. Both my husband and I were very happy with our meals. My plate was perfect: beans, rice, spicy sauce, and 2 tacos -so good! I also had to have a bite of my husband's sandwich because he loved it so much, and it was seriously the best bbq sandwich I've ever tried. The chicken was cooked perfectly. We both enjoyed our meals and we will be back for more! Also, the staff were all very kind and welcoming. This is our new favorite spot for Mexican food. Definitely recommend. read more

I thought I had found a cute hole in a wall place. Wait time: long. Staff: friendly. Food: Bland Mexican food for tourists. Sorry. Ambiance: Isolated & Clean. Overall: if you are passing by/tourist, go elsewhere if you can. You will get a filling meal but you won't enjoy it if you have decent taste buds. Chips were good though. We absolutely loved this place. Went in one morning right as they opened for breakfast. My other half works nights, and wanted tacos, which they were able to do for him. The portions were big, and flavorful. The waitresses were super helpful and brought condiments we didn't even think to ask for. (Hot sauces, extra limes etc.) The price point was decent for being a sit down restaurant. Would totally recommend this spot to anyone looking for a home style cooked meal. read more

Met up with an ex-coworker here because of location. We both ordered the enchiladas. The waitress said the enchiladas aren't made there but delivered to the restaurant and reheated. There was cold lettuce on top of the enchiladas. I don't recommend these. Also we had to change tables because the table we were originally seated at was near the window and was really cold since it was a chilly day. My husband and I recently arrived in Napa and stopped into this quaint 'home' for Lunch. It was somewhat busy for a Thursday afternoon and their menu had a Nice Assortment of Traditional Mexican Favorites. We received the typical chips with a green salsa that had a little 'kick'. The chips were Not even Warm, which was a little disappointing. My husband ordered two tacos a la carte while I opted for their chicken enchiladas. I was a little surprised at how long to took to receive our meals but they were good. My husband was a little disappointed with his two tacos since their were the 'typical' Street Tacos and were smaller than he had expected. My meal was very filling with not the usual enchilada presentation. The enchiladas were served with Shredded Lettuce, small pieces of White Cheese, Guacamole and Sour Cream on top. The chicken was a little bland with hardly any melted cheese inside or outside but the beans and rice were good. I would have liked just a little more Flavor added, Not Heat, but flavor. read more

We ordered Chile Relleno, chicken quesadilla, enchiladas, & quesabirrias (which comes with a delicious dipping sauce). Everything was very tasty & the portions were great. Tried this place for the 1st time and was disappointed. The food had no taste. I ordered the mixed fajita plate and it was missing the chicken but everything else on the plate had no flavor. Yummy food and good portions. I got the chicken sopitos; it comes with 2 loaded sopes with rice and beans on the side. The sopes were super tasty and loaded with meat and toppings, but not heavy at all, and the rice and beans were delicious. My friend got the enchiladas which also looked super yummy. We were there on their 7th day of being open. I LOVED my chiliquiles and my husband had a great dish, similar to a breakfast quesadilla. Servers were friendly and the food came out FAST! We've eaten here 4 times in the past 2 months. I've had tacos,fajitas and a hamburger, garlic fries and rice and beans. All the food was prepared perfectly. The chef is awesome. Today my husband had steak and shrimp fajitas. I'm not a shrimp lover but I tried one of his shrimp and it was delicious. The food is colorful and presented in a pleasing way. The restaurant is kept very clean and the staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and very helpful with explaining what the ingredients consists of. I would give this restaurant 10 stars. Look it was an ok experience. The chips were not salted, the salsa was pretty good though. The super burrito was big, but that was about it. The beans and rice had no flavor, just basically was there to fill me up. The chicken had flavor? But like it wasn't enough to season everything inside the burrito. My family and I were so excited to try this little place out, the food was bland but the service was terrible. The waitress must've been having a rough day. We got here right when the menus were changing and she was very annoyed about us asking if the chilaquiles were available. She got a few orders wrong and when asked if they could remake them she was upset and stated "well it's going to be an extra 20 minute wait because we have other orders to make, you should've asked earlier" when we had JUST received the wrong order back to back and she'd just walk away fast. I asked for ranch for my daughters fries and she quickly replied "okay anything else. We're busy" I definitely understand places get busy, but don't take out your frustration on customers when you made the mistake on taking the orders wrong. Her attitude was terrible and she definitely should rethink her job! Especially in the Napa Valley! I wish I could say the food was authentic Mexican food, but it definitely tasted bland without sazón. There's better options in Napa, and American canyon & Vallejo for real authentic Mexican food. One star is being very generous only because they won't allow me to put ZERO stars! read more

I happen to be staying in Napa and was looking for a close place to eat by my hotel. Los Abuelos came up. I'm always down to try a New Mexican restaurant. The service was phenomenal. We were greeted right away. The chips and tomatillo salsa verde was an awesome surprise and super tasty as well as my main taco dish. The service was awesome as well. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in Napa. read more

I've been here a few times now and the food is always so good. I have tried the turkey sandwich, chicken sandwich, burger, burrito, and tacos. I recommend them all. The portions are huge.
