    Vampiros pollo and al pastor

Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is right in front and they ste right next to s liquor store so you can buy snacks and drinks there as well. The cashier did an excellent job describing their food, fhe food came out quickly, and they checked on with us to see if there was anything else we needed. We tried the carne asada tacos, vampiros chicken and al pastor (we learned that it was just like a tostada, and a birria mulito. Food was excellent and my favorite was the vampiros. The owner recommended that we try it with chiccharon next time!

Amazing stop that we'll come back to again!! We were craving a legit taqueria meal after spending a couple days camping in the area. Yelp helped us find this place on our way home from Napa. And bonus points for navigating us there via beautiful Silverado Trail. I ordered the carne asada plate that was loaded with meat and came with home made whole beans and rice, roasted onions, jalapeño, pico de gallo, and fresh avocado. Got it with 2 flour tortillas that were huge and perfectly warmed. My hubby ordered 2 of the specialty mulitas --a soft tortilla on the bottom that os crispy with cheese on top and is filled with meat, whole beans. He ordered his mulitas with carnitas that were crispy /not fatty (perfect). The plate included pico de gallo and a small chopped fresh cucumber bell pepper salad. And we had chips and homemade roasted green and red chili salsa (hot) that added to everything. Both plates were perfectly seasoned (not salty!) and delicious. Our meals were complemented by a pineapple aqua Fresca & Fanta pineapple soda--something i'd never seen & would order again. Fantastic local find and family run business. We will be back again as we love camping in the area & the food is that good!!

My husband and I recently moved to Napa from San Francisco, and while we've loved exploring the area, one thing we really missed was the abundance of authentic Mexican food we enjoyed in SF. We had our go-to taqueria there, and we had not found a similar place here--until we found El Sabor Serrano. After trying a few spots around town, we decided to give this small, family-run taqueria a shot, and we were absolutely blown away. We ordered the birria tacos and the carne asada torta, and both dishes were perfection. The birria tacos were crispy, with just the right amount of melted cheese, and the meat was flavorful, juicy, and impossible to put down. The carne asada torta was fresh, tender, and perfectly sized--not too big, not too small. The salsas were just as impressive: a mild and tangy salsa verde, a slightly sweet pineapple salsa, and a salsa roja that brought the heat without overpowering the flavors. We also tried two agua frescas: a pineapple one that was incredibly refreshing, and a mixed one made from hibiscus and pineapple, which was delicious. On top of the amazing food, the service made us feel at home. The woman taking our order was so friendly and even came by our table to check on us after we got our food. You can feel they care a lot about both the cooking and the hospitality here. We've already decided we'll be back soon--especially to try their pozole, which they serve on Fridays and Saturdays.

El sabor serrano is one of the hidden gems in Napa ca. Locate at 1017 coombsville rd. The people super nice is a family owned restaurant. So come and support them. We order pasole must try. 9.7/10 . We also order a wet burrito with refried beans 9.0/10 . So if you ever near here stop by. Highly recommend it!

Fair prices and quick service. The burritos are on the smaller size but still plenty filling. The Volcans were a great deal and piled high with meat and toppings. My only complaint was I was wishing for a little more flavor, spice and acid.

Fish, Brisket and Pastor Tacos, fresh and delicious!

We parked between the theater and the restaurant, so it was only about a two-block walk for us and that was fine. When first walking in, it's a little dark inside, but that led to the ambience. It was also a little on the loud side, but not annoyingly so. It felt like a great place for a group of friends to come and get some food and drinks. I was excited to try the drinks--i started with La Guapa which I loved!! It wasn't too sweet, and not spicy either, despite the jalapeno. I followed it up with La Rosa.I typically love prickly pear margaritas, but this one was a little too sweet for me (but still good). The chips and salsa to start were great, nice and crispy. I had the green enchiladas for my entree and thoroughly enjoyed it. My mom just went with a chicken quesadilla and also enjoyed hers. For dessert, we had flan. Overall, it was a really nice dinner with good service!

Ended up being more dinner than lunch. I was walking all around downtown Napa looking at options and then looking them up on Yelp and just not really finding what I was looking for. After a while comfort food was on my mind and Los Agaves delivered. I always order chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. I feel you can usually tell how good the food will be if they have really good chips and fresh salsa. The chips were delicious, salted just right and super crunchy. They honestly tasted like the chips my mom and grandma would make. They were super fresh as if they were made that day or recently. The salsa was soooo good. Has a little bit of heat at the back of the mouth once you take a bite. The cilantro comes through and offers fresh herbiness. And there is a hint of Smokeiness to the salsa as well. It's well balanced and you can actually taste each ingredient. I also love the consistency little chunks of onion, tomato, pepper, and cilantro but still a little liquidy so you can dip. I also ordered the Los Agaves cocktail (tequila, lime, cucumber, agave, and ube. I didn't really notice the ube flavor but it added beautiful color. The cucumber comes through. The tequila is also present , no watered down drinks here. :) I couldn't decide between steak or chicken tacos and my waitress said how about both? Sold. The meal was excellent. The tacos are fully loaded with meat, they don't skimp. But the real show stopper is the steak taco. It was so tender and flavor full. I ordered it without the cheese and I'm glad I did because it's the star of the dish all on its own. The rice and beans were lovely too, flavor yet light. The whole meal was exactly what I needed to recharge. I think one of the best things is this meal is light yet fulfilling. You don't feel bloated, overly full, or heavy. It's not greasy. It's refreshing. Thank you so much for the perfect post race meal!

In a world where most restaurants exist solely to heat up whatever the Sysco truck drops off, something is different here. The carne asada was PERFECT. Cooked just right. The tortillas were the perfect texture to serve as a carrier for the contents of the taco. And whatever vegetably thingies were included were delish too - and that's coming from someone who doesn't typically like anything even remotely green except for pesto. We stopped by on a Saturday for lunch and it was BUSY. There is limited parking so definitely keep that in mind. The line moves pretty quickly and you place your order inside. They have a large patio in the back with plenty of seating. We ordered the chips and guac, enchiladas de mole, and enchiladas suizas. The chips and guac came out first. The chips are SO GOOD. They fry their homemade tortillas into a large chip. The tortillas are very flavorful and the guacamole is rich and creamy. I think they grate their jalapeño/serrano into the avocado which allows for the flavor to be spread out across the bite. My only complaint is regarding the guac: I wish it had lime! Or if it did have lime, it didn't have enough. The food took a while to come out but the wait was worth it. The portions are huge! The enchiladas suizas were scrumptious. The chicken is stewed which makes it very moist and full of flavor. The pickled veggies weren't my favorite but I'm not generally a pickled veggies fanatic. My partner enjoyed his enchiladas con mole (which I obviously stole a bite from). The mole was very rich and decadent. Overall, we had an excellent experience and look forward to a trip back!
