I would give Lori 100 stars if I could! She is so talented at alterations. It truly is such an art and Lori is an expert at her craft. Lori was so knowledgeable from start to finish - from the initial fitting appointment, to the try-ons in between, to the final appointment to pick up the dress. I trusted Lori with her recommendations and I appreciated her expertise, honesty, and time. For example, after the first round of alterations, I came in to try the dress on and we decided go a little bit shorter. Some businesses would probably have left it alone but Lori truly cared about me and making sure my dress was perfect so she asked to make some additional alterations (didn't affect the end price). Once all of my alterations were done, she steamed my dress and it was all ready and perfect for my wedding ceremony! On the day of, I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my dress both from family and strangers (I had a small elopement ceremony on the beach in San Diego so a lot of people got to see my dress). A bonus is that she also steams your veil/dress which can be ready for pickup the week of your wedding. Her prices are reasonable and fair. Some advice for parking is to call ahead to make sure she is not busy as there are only 2 parking spots in her driveway available. First I'll start off by saying I'm very happy with the alterations made to my suit. I was recommended a different shop, in which I pulled up to it and it was closed. I started to panic because these alterations were already last minute. I looked up to see if there were any open shops near, LUCKILY Lori's Alterations was 5 minutes away and open! I raced over and knocked on the door and she opened with a big smile. I was not aware that I should have scheduled an appointment ahead but she took me in right away and asked what I needed. I needed this suit to be more slim fit to my body in 3 days for an event and she was able to get it all done! she even told me to bring my button up shirt so she could press everything before she gives it to me. ***As mentioned in another review, Lori changed locations/the name of her business so she lost a bunch of good reviews! *** Lori did the alterations for my wedding dress in 2019. I'm under 5' so you can probably imagine how all my proportions are off for a generic wedding dress. This was not a problem for Lori. She did an amazing job altering the top of my dress which included tulle with some beading. The hemming was on point. She also added sleeves with a triangle cut near the wrist with beading to match the upper portion of my dress and added those cute white buttons commonly found on wedding dresses (I mentioned to her that I loved those and she added them on her own accord!). Lastly, she closed up more of the v-neck section on the top front of the dress so it could be a bit more modest and added the bustle which worked perfectly day of. Not only is her professionalism and workmanship top notch, she is also super sweet and personable. Terrible. I would leave no stars if I could. This woman was recommended by the place my mom bought her wedding dress and she seemed skilled but she charged my mom over $500 and only did a fraction of the work she charged for. My mom wanted her dress to be a couple inches shorter, for the train to button onto the back so she'd have the option not to drag it on the ground, and it was too tight around her chest/back so Lori said she could add a two inch wedge to the seams on both sides which I was most skeptical of as the dress had a very specific lace pattern and I didn't want it to look like patchwork but Lori showed me an example on another dress she had altered and it looked amazing. I wouldn't have even been able to notice her added fabric if she hadn't pointed it out. She took a ton of measurements, made many notes and put several pins in the dress to mark the needed alterations. She seemed to really know her trade and I left feeling confident. My mom went to pick the dress up by herself and maybe didn't check it thoroughly enough but when I helped her try it back on we realized Lori had simply cut the bottom layers of the dress shorter and DIDN'T HEM THEM AT ALL and she completely skipped the two inch seam wedges she charged my mom for and instead just added a teensy centimeter pinky finger's with to each side which did nothing at all. She basically charged my mom over $500 to haphazardly hack some fabric off the bottom of the dress and sew a couple buttons onto the back. Such a scam artist. read more

She even stayed open a little later because I got behind, the day of the pick up. Super responsive and helpful.
