Well, been meaning to try their chicken for awhile. Nice music playing. Sat at bar ... just few people eating there and all at bar. I have spent many visits to South, Georgia , Alabama, Nashville, Tennessee, Carolinas, best fried chicken was Georgia with chicken soaked in buttermilk, tasty fried breading, Tennessee hot chicken , Alabama fried and barbecue. This chicken wasn't any of those. Popeyes and Kentucky Fried better than Loretta's... so why so bad? Cornbread dry and no corn flavor... how about some honey butter as option? Just lousy attempt Cole slaw no flavor again, no moisture or milky, watery or vinegar or anything to moisten? Chicken why I came there.... Dry, no flavors again, fried crust absolutely awful with no flavor . Chicken to beat the horse worse was over fried to dryness... breast had no meat on it all bone I looked around for salt, pepper , sauces, no where around. Bartender, she spend entire time I was there texting and came by once to ask how the horrid meal was... guy I think was manager sat at table in corner The beer and glass of water was important to wash down the dry flavorless meal. I don't any reason to go back... Rent must be high there across from Fenway... read more

I came here once to meet a friend for a few drinks and a bite before a Red Sox game. The service was good. A little slow and intermittent when we were sitting outside at a table but still very friendly. Inside while waiting around the bar for our table the service was pretty good. The bartenders were very attentive and quick. If you were close to the bar and made eye contact and raised your hand to any of them, they would make their way to you in a timely manner. I had two different types of drinks, the full moon and their lemonade cocktail with moonshine as well. They were both good but need to stir it up a bit just in case cause sometimes the first sip is all booze. The lemonade cocktail was my favorite of the two. I had the hot chicken sandwich which was delicious. The chicken was cooked great and it had just enough of a kick to it. The size was also pretty reasonable. The chicken and waffles were similarly well cooked but a little bigger size-wise. We were all very happy with the food. The ambience inside was quite hectic. The bar area is really packed in with not always enough space to maneuver too well. It definitely is a rowdy bar with a younger audience. Not someplace I would come often but wouldn't mind meeting at for a night out and to grab a few drinks. read more

Great spot for brunch. Went here before a Red Sox game. Easy to access Fenway after visiting. Friendly service and portion size was huge for price. Also great bands for live music. read more

Totally loveeeeeee this place. Their drinks are one of the best. They have Line dancing classes Sunday and Tuesday at 8pm every week. Even if you don't have any basic knowledge of it, you could have a lot of fun. Very nice and laid back environment. Have attended some country performances here too. Its always a fun night. Totally recommend. Food is good too. Great for weekend brunch. read more

This place has great Western ambiance and the staff is SO friendly. I got the Waffles and Berries and my s/o got the hot chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious! Cocktail recommendations: front porch sweet tea and the capri sun. When making reservations: ask to be seated in bridget's section! She's a suburb waitress. read more

This bar is the best option for line dancing on Sundays. It welcome people from all levels. I never ate or drank there, so can not review on it, but the environment is super nice and they host fun events. read more

Loretta's is awesome! It is the one place is Boston that is reliably good at classic southern comfort food. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very fun. It is right next to Fenway so there are always Red Sox fans watching games or waiting there. On Sundays and Tuesdays Loretta's has an amazing country line dancing night that is really unique in the northeast (only place I've ever seen it over here). read more

Here seeing a concert at Fenway came to Loretta's before the show. We had the Best service from Leah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gabby was bright, engaging, and prompt. She made our experience before the game relaxing and all the food/drink was filling and refreshing!

Yeehaw, I love the hush puppies at Loretta's Last call! The food is always good and the service is great! Plus when they are busy you can order it to go and take it into a game a Fenway! read more

Popped in on Wednesday for lunch place I can't go in clothes for private event for dinner, bartender was course was able to still place an order to go. Our server Cohle was AMAZING! Very attentive and courteous! Great service, food and atmosphere! Will definitely be coming back!

Scared for my safety. I came here this weekend hoping to watch a country band. Randomly security kicked myself and my bf out without reason using 5 or more "Secuity guards". I was scared they were going to hurt me so we left but they would not give a reason. I got to the venue a couple hours earlier than the performance and ended up in the front row. The cover band was 10/10 but I will not be back here. Sadly It is the only country bar in Boston but I would suggest trying any other bar in the Fenway area that is not this place. read more

Waited for over 30 minutes and never saw a server. Asked the hostess for a server and nobody came. Go someplace else.

Just had an amazing night with co-workers and Bridget, our Loretta's guide for the evening. She was wonderful and patient with our group. Great drink recommendations, and the food was perfect bar food for our time out. We ordered the fried pickles, fries and gravy, wings, the po boy, and more. Really appreciate the fun night out.! read more

My friends took me here for my Bday and ever since I took a bite of their chicken and waffles, I've been HOOKED. I ended up taking my entire family and friends on separate occasions. All the food is good, but I'm in love with the chicken and waffles. I make sure to eat it slow to savor every moment I can. It's right next to Fenway Park so if you want to enjoy your meal when it's less rowdy, go when there isn't a game next door. Staff is friendly and it tends to be a younger crowd. I'll definitely be back a few times a year. read more

I really loved the country vibe especially in Boston. The chicken and waffles were great. The service was fantastic, if you have Kevin you're in good hands. I also heard the line dancing is fun from a friend. read more

Loretta's is the best - but would not have been 5 stars without Cole!!!! Cole made our experience incredible. Love this place!

We went here before the Red Sox Yankee game. We came to you guys and put our name on the list. We were inside way before our time which was good. We enjoyed the country music that was being played inside. The country vibe was great. Loved the wall with all the past and present artist on it. We were a group of 4 people. We ordered drinks which were good. I had the Watermelon Crawl which was tasty. Another person had the watermelon Margarita they liked it but not a fan of the habanero tequila. Our other friends had vodka and soda. Considering how busy it was the kitchen did a great job getting the food out. Everything came out hot and prepared perfectly. I had the Loretta Burger which is hands down one of the best burgers I have had. The caramelized onions are what definitely makes this burger. 2 people had the Chicken sandwich which they loved. Another had the Mac and cheese which was also delicious. So if your looking for a place to go before the game or without a game check it out. read more

The band playing Saturday night 11/9 kinda stank. Too loud. Needed break after 2 songs.

Bangin food & great drinks. Really good prices for brunch, and very appropriate serving sizes. Atmosphere was pretty cool - lot of country music, as to be expected. Service was fast and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Great value for brunch, definitely need to come back! read more

I have not eaten here but the night life is really fun. They have a live band and usually play all country music. It's a $5 cover on the weekend but the band is usually pretty good and worth the cover. read more

Their pop-up donut shop charged 25% extra without telling us. Not cool. Donut was good but wtf

Upon walking in you'll see a giant American flag hanging on the wall. Kinda helps put you in the correct mindset for this place, because the ambiance is very different from anywhere else in Boston. My friend who is from Texas says that this place reminds him of home. This review is for their brunch. It wasn't too busy the two times I was here for brunch on a weekend, but they always had live music. The music is a nice touch but sometimes makes it difficult to have a conversation. Unfortunately even though it wasn't very busy both times I went, the service was slow. They have a Truck Stop Breakfast which comes with chicken and waffles, eggs, home fries, toast, and bacon or sausage. For a little less than $20 it is a LOT of food and easily shareable between two people. I thought the chicken was seasoned nicely and the skin was super crispy. The waffle was more or less overpowered by the chicken. The eggs, toast, and bacon were pretty standard. I wasn't a fan of the potatoes because they were kind of bland on the firmer side. I also tried the breakfast plate, which has eggs, toast, grits, bacon or sausage, and home fries. Even though this was less than $10 I thought the Truck Stop Breakfast is more unique and more worth it. The grits didn't come with any seasoning and no matter how much salt and hot sauce I added they still tasted like textured water. I'd skip on the coffee here. Their brunch menu is probably one of the cheaper brunch options in the area, and their drinks are around $10. The bloody mary was pretty good! read more

Great location right at the end of Landesdowne St. I've been a few times, usually like to sit at the bar, enjoy the scene and listen to the live music. Champagne of beers is my usual choice, but the apple pie moonshine or a green tea shot can be the perfect compliment. My last bartender Anna was friendly and attentive, very calm under the stress of the crowds and always smiling. A big positive for a busy popular bar. Overall had a really enjoyable night! read more

Large space, lots of drinks to choose from and pleasant staff. Country music plays non stop. They even have line dancing at times. Close to House of Blues. So easy place for prefunk or after concert drinks. Southern fare complete with collard greens, biscuits, Mac and cheese, and brisket. The food is alright. But not a destination. If you happen to need food due to drinking heavily....this will do. The food even comes out quickly. But for good southern food....keep moving. read more

Great friendly service. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was an old fashioned hang out spot.

Much love. The tall handsome old man that is called "Daddy" behind the bar opens cans of Eastern Apple Juice like a pro. I don't like ugly people so this place is good. I do think that they should incorporate shorter shorts and fanny packs into the uniforms. As for the management the small woman named Jackson is quite bubbly. Disappointed the young man with the brunet hair was demoted to server/coat check, but glad they kept him on, I guess it makes sense being so tall he can see over everyone. ALSO. BREAKING NEWS. THEY NOW HAVE THREE DIFFERENT SIZED FORLKS. UN. FREAKEN. REAL. read more

Loretta's Last Call - Amazing ice cream spoon! - Southern Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

In brief: Please be careful here!! Bouncer staff assaults guest without warning. White, Short, blonde bouncer/waitress is confusingly hostile and belligerent. Also brown liquid dripping from ceiling My story: My (small female) friend was a victim of this last night. There was a long line and we suspect they were trying to kick people out in order to fit new costumers in. While my friend was sitting along waiting for a friend to come back with her second drink, a male bouncer approached her, did not introduce himself as a bouncer and told you "you need to leave". When she asked why and who he was he PUT HIS HANDS ON HER AND PUSHED HER OUT THE DOOR. My friend then began to cry, thinking a random man was trying to take her, as she is starting to cry a (white short blonde lots of black eyeliner) female bouncer came over and mocked her for crying. At this point our friend group noticed. While we were speaking calmly and rationally with the (short blonde) female bouncer and the first bouncer that had grabbed her, they both were swearing, yelling, and escalating the situation. This, of course, drew the attention of the manager, who admitted it was inappropriate for our friend to have been kicked out and grabbed, however, did nothing to fix the situation. While the manager was trying to apologize for his weirdly mean staff, the short blonde woman was MIMICKING us behind him... like a teenager? Weird stuff. Be careful out there folks, they only care about the money and not the safety of their customers. Only perk of this place was the one nice bartender. read more

Cool country style bar to eat at or just hangout at and grab a few beers. Came here after a sunday game at fenway and had a great time! Sunday is line dancing day so they clear out the front few tables to open up the dance floor. We have never line danced however the instructor and regulars were more then happy to help us out and didnt get annoyed when we stepped on their toes lol. Food wise they feature some great southern comfort options. We split the chicken and waffles, hot chicken, and pulled pork grilled cheese. All 3 were great and reminded me of nashville. If I had to choose a favorite id say the chicken and waffles were the best, however the hot chicken is a reallll close 2nd. Drink wise they have a huge beer menu with a wide variety. Overall a great spot to stop at if your a country music fan looking for some southern hospitality in boston! read more

Not sure what happened because we used to love this place but we went there before the Red Sox game today and I should have known that something was up when we didn't have to wait for a table 45 minutes before the first pitch. Food was not good and the drinks were even worse. Margarita was undrinkable. People that worked there were miserable and we will not be going back anytime soon. read more

I took pains to make a reservation on the day of a bloody mary bar. I checked the website and everything to make sure I reserved a spot on the right day. However, upon our arrival, we were told that there was no bloody mary bar since there was a Red Sox game that day. What a bummer! There was NO mention of this policy on the website or anything :( If you want to do something special here, be sure to check the Red Sox schedule apparently... read more

Love me some Loretta's! As a Southern gal in the big, bad city of Boston, I often get a hankerin' for some good ole country music. Loretta's is the only place I've found that brings in solid talent with a twang. Our group redeemed a free party for 20 people, which includes a reserved table and 3 trays of apps (hush puppies, pimento cheese grilled cheese, and chicken tenders). On a Thursday at 7pm, the place was pretty empty, but as the night progressed, the party got larger and larger. The appetizers paired well with their moonshine cocktails served in cute mason jars, although most of the drinks I found overly sweet. When I ordered the pepper jelly marg, they were unfortunately out of the pepper jelly but assured me that the drink would still be spicy since the kick comes from the tequila, and it would actually be less sweet since the jelly has sugar. The bartenders weren't kiddin', and this was my favorite drink of the night. As for the music, during our time there we saw 3-4 different bands perform. They all had different sounds and hit on different country and pop hits. The space in front of the stage is open for dancing, and soon enough we were all scootin' our boots to the beat. Loretta's Last Call is an unexpected find in Fenway, and it guarantees that some Southern vibes can be felt on even the coldest day in Boston. Yeehaw! read more
