For being located at the Lloyd center which is pretty dead, this place had a line so it must be good! The menu is limited but I think that is a good thing. They had wings or tenders and I did not see any option to only do them ala carte so I assume they all include fries. I had the 3 piece tenders with hot honey but they didn't give me the hot honey, just hot sauce and by the time I noticed I didn't want to go back. But the chicken was good. It was def fresh chicken and it was good, but I really didn't enjoy it without a dip or the hot honey. The fries are fresh cut and I think they might need to be either cooked longer or at a higher heat to give them some crisp. But I don't think people come here for the fries. Oh and there was a surpise piece of white bread sprinkled with some sort of cheese. I don't usually eat white bread but had a few bites and it was pretty tasty. Overall it wasn't a bad place at all. The guys frying the chicken were really friendly when they called your number. I will note that I took photos of the menu and can't believe how food prices have literally DOUBLED in 5 years. Their older menu photos has 3 tenders or 3 wings for $6 snd now they are $12! I will upload the newer prices so other don't think the $6 menu is still going.

One of the best fried chicken places in Portland is, surprisingly, in the Lloyd Center food court. This place cooks the chicken to order so it'll be hot and crispy when you get it. The hot honey is a tasty vinegary hot sauce. The mild sauce is a bbq flavor. If you don't mind eating in an empty food court, check this place out.

I almost passed on dining here because of its location--in the center of a dying mall. However once I turned the corner and saw LoRell's Chicken Shack, the reviews truly made sense. Inside of this 15% operating mall is one of THE BEST chicken spot I've had in a while. And they were selling out fast. The hot honey wings are a must-try, and the warmth of the owner, Darrell, really made the visit feel like home. I will always support businesses that give their customers Grade A service. Thank you for allowing to dine here and I wish you much success in the future!

Still the best fried chicken in Portland! Very kind folks. It's also nice that it's in the Lloyd center with indoor tables. I haven't been since they were in a food truck pod on Foster/Powell.

LoRell's Chicken Shack - 5/5 We had the wings, tenders, and fries and everything was . The food was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor--clearly made to order. The wings were perfectly seasoned, the tenders were juicy with a great crunch, and the fries hit the spot. While the location isn't the most convenient and I wish they had more drink options, those are small trade-offs for how good the food is. Definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for quality fried chicken. I'll be back for sure!

LoRell's has been on my list for a while, so glad we finally got to check it out! These folks have given Lloyd's food court a new vibe, the music was flowing throughout the whole floor; we even brought our dessert up to enjoy. The hot honey was perfectly balanced, not too spicy and the fries were great. The wings were super crispy, can't wait to try the whole chicken next!

This is the craziest review I've ever written here. LoRell's is, as others have mentioned, one of the few holdouts in a dying mall. We entered at the far end, and we almost gave up before making our way up to what's left of the food court. Then, hearing that LoRell's was blasting music so loud that it was almost impossible to place our order, we almost gave up again. But... I'm glad we persevered. For twenty bucks we got eight hot honey wings and fried with two drinks. The wings and fries were incredible. Super fresh, super hot, and super tasty. A strange experience, but worth the effort!

This is my partners and is new favorite chicken spot in Portland. Everything we have gotten has been amazing wings, tenders, chicken sandwich have all been top tier. Along with great customer service, who even checked on us after our meal.

Hi I've been checking out these reviews, but all I'm seeing are the boasts about nothing but "wings" ! Don't they have any other choices, like 1/2 chicken…

Its wings and tenders at the present moment.... But I know he is looking at adding a legs option.

The kids ate so much and the hainanese chicken was a kid friendly favorite! We really enjoyed the Khao Kha Muu which was similar to an adobo with yummy pickled mustard greens. The meat was tender and marinated so well. The liver is always enjoyable by me and everyone ate the skins which were so crispy! The 2 meals were large and fed all of us well. Walked in and was pretty surprised there was no one around. (Head-scratch) OK, I'll try them anyways. No one at the counter either. I checked out the menu board and just waited, np. Out comes, possibly the owner or cook, whom was helpful about the types of wings and sauces but that was about it with the interaction. I guess helpful enough, even thought I've never been here. So I went with the 12-piece Bone-in Wing Combo (@ $29.49), which also comes with fries and coleslaw. The sauces I chose were the galbi and hot honey mustard as recommended. At first, I wasn't sure which wings were which, meaning they both almost looked the same. But obviously the hot honey mustard was lighter in color versus the galbi. The wings were crispy and excellent, but a tad bit over saucy. I wish I had more crisp on the outside. Maybe I'll ask for sauce on the side next time. Also, the big box of Crinkle Fries were decent, but I thought the coleslaw for some reason was very peppery. I didn't understand why. I guess that's their style of slaw, idk. Overall, I really wanted to love this joint, but I feel that it's just a 3-star kind of place imho. It's the price versus taste versus how hot it was outside. Unfortunately, the place didn't have any a/c on and the tables didn't look as clean as the other older posted pics on yelp. Someday, I'll be back to hopefully upgrade my review, but for now, it is what it is.
