Pro: Knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff. Arturo and his crew were amazing at doing their job. I had 6 trees trimmed around the property and they did a great job. I'm mostly impressed with the impeccable clean up effort, they even went into my neighbor's backyard to clean up the branches that fell over the property line. Con: It was difficult scheduling a date for the work. I was given a time frame and that was pushed back twice. I had to follow up with Arturo couple times to get them to come out to do the work. All and all, I am satisfied with the work and would recommend Lopez Tree Service. read more

Would give zero stars if I could, but overall would not recommend this company at all! Met with Albert on 5/17/19 on a tree trimming and removal job I urgently needed. He came out the same day I called him and seemed like a knowledgable and nice guy, but definitely does not know how to run a responsible business or acknowledge customers. --- After receiving the estimate, I immediately emailed him to start the job and stopped my search for a tree contractor. He didn't respond, so I texted him at the cell phone number I had originally reached him at. It took multiple attempts to reach him and he basically said he was out of town and coming back that night. Well...multiple texts later and 3 weeks have passed and I don't know if he is still on vacation! Very irresponsible and rude of him to never even call or text to apologize. There are so many other great companies out there that want our business...choose someone else. I would not recommend. read more

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Arturo and his team for an excellent job! He accomodated around my work schedule and personally arrived at my property to inspect the trees that I wanted to be removed. He provided a fair estimate which made the decision to chose his company, an easy one. His crew completed the job on 3/26/2020, the trees were cut down to ground level, and the job site was cleaned afterwards. I will definitely use this company again for any future needs and I highly recommend them! read more

I've had two wood chip drops with Lopez Tree Service. They were incredibly quick, professional, and kind. I appreciate that he was so clear each time with letting me know exactly what kind of mulch I would be getting. The first time he let me know it was mostly chipped wood. The second time he let me know that it was mostly chipped leaves. This worked perfectly for me because I'm using it for sheet mulching, but I love that he really explained exactly what we would be getting. I'll be reaching out to him when we're looking for more mulch and for all of our tree trimming. I highly recommend Lopez Tree Service! read more

It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Lopez Tree Service. Arturo Lopez arrived for the appointment as scheduled, met with both my neighbor and myself regarding concerns to better load balance a tree. Arturo was knowledgeable and professional in detailing the best way to trim without stressing the tree and protect property . We accepted his offer to proceed with the work. His team and supervision was exact and professional in completing the job per our expectations. I highly recommend Lopez Tree service. read more

Arturo and his dad run a rock solid business. When I had an emergency, with a huge pine fallen in my backyard, Arturo was here within a couple hours of my call. A knowledgable and capable team. read more

Lopez Tree Service did an amazing job of pruning my very large sweetgum today. The tree was positioned over, and very close to, 3 power lines. They managed the boom in, around, over, and under the lines in a way that was nothing short of miraculous. The entire team was extremely helpful in moving my plants away from the tree and even helped me move my garbage cans to the curb! They cleaned up everything and were in and out in less than an hour. I would definitely recommend them, and am so glad to have them as my tree service experts! Courtney - South Pasadena read more

Great service! Timely and sticks to schedule! Arturo was very communicative throughout the whole process. He showed up on time, provided estimates and even expected dates of availability. His pricing was slightly a bit higher than others but because of his promptness in returning calls and his communication, I'm glad I went with Lopez Tree Service. I had 2 elm tress trimmed and one ash tree removed. That staff! I have nothing but great things on how professional and efficient they were. From the start of the day till the end of they day, they kept me in the know of what their plans were. What was supposed to be a two day job ended up being a one day job. They cleared up all the debris as well. read more

Arturo and Lopez Tree Service delivered excellent service when they removed 2 trees (one small, one medium/large), and trimmed several trees on my property. Arturo was quick to respond to my email and set up an appointment within a week. When I missed our meeting because of a family emergency, he was flexible and assessed my property while I met with him via mobile phone. Arturo was accessible and good with keeping the lines of communication open despite both of us having busy schedules. He sent a proposal and had the work completed within two weeks of our initial contact. Too steal from another reviewer I was 100% happy and here are a few reasons why: * VERY punctual for arrival times, both for giving the estimate and for day of service. * Price was very fair and reasonable for the amount of work done. * Clear, itemized estimate. Super professional. Answered all of our questions very well. * Always available by cell phone or e-mail and quick to return voice-mails. * Crew arrived on time and were quick and efficient. * One of the owners (father and/or son) was on the job both supervising and working! A great example for the entire crew. * Certified Arborist * All workers are professional tree-trimmers * AMAZING clean-up. When I came home from work the yard was SPOTLESS! I was so happy. They even cleaned up leaves and debris they didn't have to. I will use Lopez Tree Service again..... read more

Arturo was professional, on time, easy to contact, and very courteous. And his work is priced fairly. We had some minor work in the backyard on some tall bushes and small trees, so we weren't sure if calling a tree trimming service was overkill. After talking to Arturo, he said he could come by in between jobs with some guys and check it out. Even though we didn't have any huge trees, he still came by with lots of equipment, and trimmed a bunch of stuff in the backyard. They cleaned up all the trimmings, hauled it away, and Arturo even gave me a discount for being flexible and working on his timeline. The next time, I had a very small but urgent job (basically, cut two small branches off a tree) and called him for advice. He came by once to take a look and offered to saw it off himself. Unfortunately, the saw I owned wasn't up to the job and he came back a few days later with his own saw. He did it for free since he was in the area anyway and only took a few minutes, what a upstanding guy! I made him take enough money to cover for gas and a lunch. read more

We recently found Lopez Tree Service and had a very good experience. Excellent communication, call backs, text and then swiftly to email a contract. We met Arturo on time as scheduled and he displayed real knowledge of the trees and what we should and should not do. When it came to the work, we were very happy also. We returned later in the day, presuming that we have at least some clean up to do in our yard, but Arturo's team had left our entire yard clean and tidy. So, no complaints at all and a small business that deserves a strong recommendation. Good job! Thanks. read more

Lopez Tree Service is phenomenal. A father-son business, Lopez is professional, industrious, reliable, kind, reasonably priced, and honest as the day is long. Thank God for Yelp--I used it to find Lopez Tree Service in the first place. The reviews were so marvelous I decided to give them a chance. In this case, I had the rare experience where the business was even better than the reviews implied. In today's world it is too hard to find people to work with, in all industries. Lopez Tree Service gives me hope that things could one day really improve: that being successful does not mean having to screw the other guy, and that hard work and honesty still sometimes actually pay off. I could not possibly recommend more highly. read more

Sad to see our very tall liquid amber go, but was so impressed by Lopez Tree Service. The crew arrived first thing in the morning, and were finished by 11:00 AM. Not only did they carefully take down my large liquid amber tree, the also removed the stump, leveled the ground, and cleaned the entire area of wood chips. I was happy to see that they complied with all the necessary safety regulations, including head, eye and ear protection. It's clearly dangerous work and I'm glad they approached the task with the utmost professionalism and focus on safety. I will definitely call them again for trimming the rest of my trees. Thank you so much, Arturo!!! read more

Left message requesting a chip drop. Alberto responded quickly, made sure I understood about the quantity, there would be leaves with the shredded wood and if the truck would fit in the driveway. His crew then delivered the stuff within two weeks. Mulch quality was great as well. Very happy. read more

I called Lopez Tree Service as one of three quotes I was seeking for removing a giant pepper tree in my garden. They were the only company who showed up on time, gave me the best quote and agreed an exact date to remove the tree. This tree removal was a massive undertaking and their methodical way of working, removal and cleanup was impressive. read more

We've been relying on Arturo to take care of our trees for years. He's trimmed ficus trees along our fence, he's trimmed palm trees, pine trees, our giant walnut tree, our liquid amber, our mock orange, and last week he removed our huge Pink Dombeya tree because it had died. We've been in the house for 10 years, and the tree was well established when we bought it, so it was a really big job. Arturo's guys work very hard. They are fast and do a fantastic job cleaning everything up when they're done. When they were removing the Dombeya, and I went out to see how they were going about it. Arturo had climbed up the trunk with a chain saw and was cutting the big limbs down himself. He doesn't ask anything of his guys that he wouldn't do himself and I think they really respect him for it. He's fair, honest, reliable and a really good man. He knows what he's doing and I trust him with our trees. read more

I recently hired Lopez Tree Service for a major tree cutting/pruning job in my back yard. In a nut shell, I was very pleased with the overall service they provided. Arturo came out to do the estimate a couple of weeks prior. He presented himself very professionally and was very helpful during the estimate. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and most of all... I never felt pressured. The day of the service, he and his crew showed up on time and everyone in his crew were very courteous. After completing the job, they did an excellent job cleaning up the work area. More importantly, the tree's looked very nice after the pruning and I was very impressed by how they were able to remove a significant amount of branches that had intertwined into a chain-linked fence. Arturo actually followed up with a phone call to assure that I was satisfied with the job... a very nice final touch to the service. I will definitely keep Lopez Tree Service in mind for my future tree needs as well for recommending them to others. read more

Used them in the past and they were fine. Recently used them again for a tree trimming and I had a couple questions about some branches that were left. Tried to speak about it with Arturo but once the job is done he is unreachable. Extremely unprofessional. If he had a store front and there was a problem with a customer he would probably sneak out the back. Ended up using California Tree service for 3 other properties and they were much more professional. read more

Arturo has done excellent work for us twice this year. His credentials as an arborist are especially valuable, as our trees were trimmed to minimize the stress on the tree while keeping the natural beauty. When an emergency came up with a tree, he put us on the schedule quickly so other work wasn't delayed. I've found his pricing to be fair and appreciate his responsiveness and love for trees. read more

Lopez Tree Service did excellent work. They came on time with plenty of men to do the job. They trimmed our large trees carefully. They lowered the large limbs on ropes so that neither our roof nor our landscaping or the neighbor's landscaping would suffer damage. They thoroughly cleaned up all debris from the job in our yard and the adjoining neighbors' yards. Lopez Tree Service was highly recommended by a local arborist and his rates were the most reasonable. I was not disappointed. Also, the foreman spoke with all the homeowners who would be effected by the tree trimming BEFORE he started the job in order to gain access to their property so the workers could clean up any mess. I would highly recommend this tree trimming service. read more

Very quick, professional, neat work. Very impressed with these guys and their work and would recommend their service for whatever you need. These guys made every commitment, arrived on time and ready to go! The price was fair, and they truly knew what they were doing. Lopez Tree Service is a great company. Arturo and his crew were easy to work with, fast, and efficient, and they did exactly what I had requested. Plus, their cleanup was excellent. We manage a small condo complex where we live and we've let our gardeners trim our trees over the last few years. Unfortunately, they've hacked the hell out of our trees so we started looking for a professional tree trimming service. Lopez Tree Service returned our call and took the time to work with us to fix the problems that prior "tree trimmer" had created in the past. Our trees still have a ways to go to return to their original beauty but we feel confident with this company. Prompt service, great quality work and great follow-up. Thank you, guys! read more

We worked with Arturo Jr and had a very positive experience. He came out and gave us a very reasonable quote to remove a 60 year old Liquid Amber from our front yard (roots and stump as well). Arturo and his crew of 5 arrived at 7:30am and were done by 3:00. They are a hard working crew and cleaned up all the debris as they went. TRULY THE BEST! Without question the nicest, cleanest and FASTEST crew in LA. We've used Arturo's crew several times now at our house and I'm amazed after each visit. Great job, great team. Efficient, knowledgeable and on time. Arturo and his crew are the best for your tree trimming needs.

Highly satisfied with the work that Lopez tree service did for me. Arturo Lopez is very professional and knowledgeable. Very happy that I picked Lopez tree service after I had another bid from some one that seemed unsure of the project. Arturo came out and gave me an estimate that was fair and reasonable not to mention license and insured. Certified Arborist. After the estimate Arturo gave me I felt relieved and free of worry because I was having a professional do the work. The tree was next to a pool and fence near my neighbors house. When I came home from work the job was done and the cleanup was excellent, no traces of tree debris to be found. That's why I am highly satisfied with Lopez tree service and give it five stars out of five. Terry P. read more

Best tree service around! 1/2 the price & 1/2 the time as other compannies Out of 5 quotes, Arturo gave me the lowest rate by over $1,400 and said the job would only take a day whereas other companies told me it would take two or even three. I had a HUGE pine tree that needed to be cut down and the stump ground - I will try to attach photos eventually. The crew showed up exactly on time and worked tirelessly until the job was finished. Save your time, save a lot of money and rest assure this is a skilled group at any tree removal job As a side note -- the only reviews that are not 5 stars really have no bearing on the company itself, so no need "doing additional research" :) read more

Look no further! Lopez Tree Service is the absolute best tree trimming service around!! I often read yelp for reviews and follow it's recommendations, however, I was compelled to write my very first review based upon the excellent service we received today. We needed a huge black pine removed from our property because it was clearly dying. Arturo, the owner, is also an Arborist and was able to properly identify our tree's demise which helped with the decision to ultimately get rid of our tree. He was able to get us in a week early, gave us a quote we could not refuse and completed the job in a morning's time. He has all of the proper equipment necessary for any job! I was truly amazed by the man and machine power they came in with. What's even better is his company is fully insured so there were no liability worries whatsoever. We also had the bushes in or backyard trimmed and got rid of some problem oleander. Since this will be something we will need to take care of from time to time, we will definitely be calling Lopez Tree Service! Save your money and time, call them first! The crew was so hardworking and friendly. They seriously left my yard cleaner then before they got here, which is amazing considering they just cut down a huge tree! read more

I highly recommend this company for tree trimming service. The owner is very knowledgeable and explained to me what he felt was best for my tree. He was able to accommodate my busy and tight schedule. During the day of service the crew was efficient. They trimmed the trees as explained and cleaned up the backyard after work was completed. I am very happy. While chatting with the owner he told me that he tried very hard to keep his crew intact during Covid.
