2 charred Chicago Dogs and Fries
    Greg M.

True to my word, came back in for the Italian beef, albeit 6 years after my first visit. Actually had the Friday special which was a combo including an Italian sausage and hot giardiniera. It was crazy good. Spot on with the best I've had in Chicago. The only knock I have is the friendliness of the staff. The woman serving the food never smiled, had her face in her phone when she wasn't tending to an order, and clearly didn't want to be there. Told them all on the way out I thought the food was great and I got the feeling they were thinking "don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out." No Old Style is a bit of a downer too.

bringing a piece of Chicago to Columbus. If you think of your traditional Vienna, beef hotdog gyro hamburger joint in Chicago this is the type of restaurant that comes along with loops. They pride themselves in the gyro but also have a very good hotdog Chicago style. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service is quick and the place has ample dining space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diners are very family friendly or your lunchtime worker grabbing a bite to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I think this place is pretty good. The Chicago hotdog (Loops' dog) was awesome and authentic with that awesome Vienna beef dog. I thought the Italian beef with hot giardiniera was fine but not amazing. The fries are absolutely amazing, 5 star for sure. They claim on their website that they have the best fries in Columbus and I think they are right. I can't think of a better batch of fries in Columbus or maybe anywhere, they really are that good. The service was fast and the prices are reasonable. Good place for a good lunch.

Ya'll better come get this food - I do not play about prices, portions, quality or taste and I am telling you- I stand on the business that this place is amazing! It will leave you wanting to try the entire menu piece by piece which is what I plan to do over time lol my selective eater youngest got the coney dog and absolutely loved it! That's literally a WIN. Then my oldest who is adventurous got the Kronos and he was stimming so hard from loving the food so much- that was also a literal WIN. My meal - which as a Virgo rising you know it's pretty difficult to impress me ‍ not my fault, just how my sky is ‍ my meal impressed me. Absolutely delicious, fresh, the portions I am STILL blown away by because few places give real portions anymore and these are HEARTY. And their flavors!!!! Seriously go get some

There's parking behind the building! I ordered the Titan, which I ate without taking a picture, and it was delicious! It was pita bread with loads of toppings, pork and veggies! I ended up cutting it up into pieces since there were so many ingredients! Service was fast and the guy running the cash register was very helpful about the items on the menu.

Was on DDD twice. Cute little place. Great customer service. But the food was horrible!! The fetafire I had and I took one bite and I literally almost puked. It was horrible. Even the falafel was gross. (I eat a lot of places and I've never done that before.). Tried the meatball sub, it was ok but I expected it to be way better since it was on the show!! Definitely do not recommend it. And never would go back as I wasted the money that I did spend on this trip. As far as 2 stars it's definitely because of the staff that was there!

I haven't eaten here in awhile ,but I was in the neighborhood so I decided to stop in and place a to go order. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I came in. The food was just like I remember the last time everything made to order so you know that your food is fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also a small area outside where you can eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will be back soon and try more delicious food.

After hearing a lot of good things about Loops, we have it a try and we're really happy we did! We did a takeaway order (live less than 10 mins.) Everything we ordered was piping hot still when we got home to eat. First things first: everything positive said about Loops fries is spot on. SO GOOD! A small order is huge too and worth every penny of $4. I got the Clark Street and it was delicious. The meats were tender and not dry. The peppers and mushrooms were fresh and perfectly cooked. The pita soft and cheese gooey. I'd absolutely get it again and definitely recommend it. Also tried a traditional gyro and it was very good too. The tzatziki wasn't the best we ever had but all in all, it was a good gyro. The side of chili was more like a cup of coney sauce so might not get that again, but it was still good, just not what was expected. The prices were really fair too, especially given how expensive typical fast food is now. Definitely give it a try!

I love everything that Loops stands for, but I can't say that I love everything that Loops makes. However, I do like most of it. I've visited several times over the years, and their goal is aspirational: replicating the signature dishes of a city that loves its food. But that comes with high expectations... The most consistent winner is the Chicago style Loops Dog. The Maxwell Street Polish is fine if you need a Columbus-based fix, but it's not as true to Chicago form as the hot dog. I'd say the same about the Italian Beef as well. Credit goes to Loops for creating the Gyro Roll. The spicy version exceeded my expectations. The combination of fried dough, gyro meat, spices and dip was a highlight of my recent visit. The core fries are really good on their own; I find that the versions with loaded toppings try to fix something that isn't broken. That said, the fries did come with a service snafu as it wasn't included in my takeout order. Fortunately I recognized this in the parking lot, and upon returning the fries were provided without a hassle. Overall, when I'm in a mood for a Chicago dog and fries, Loops is 5 stars. But there's a drop off when branching out into other Chicago staples.

There is room to sit down and eat but I took mine to go. The two women I interacted with were great! Cordial, helpful and friendly. I received my meal very quickly! Where to begin...the fries, that I tried before I started the car to head home, were hot and perfectly cooked. Soft in the inside, perfect crunch on the outside. When I got them home, they were still crispy!! The gyro is huge! Should I eat the whole thing? No. Will I eat the whole thing? Likely. The seasoning on the chicken reminds me of the lamb I usually get with that same soft yet seared meat. The sauce is just wow! The baklava is 3 pieces in one, can't go wrong for $5.50. Tender, sweet, and delicious!

Generous portions for the King and just the right amount of onion. Some places go too strong with the onion. The standout was the sauce! Just had a nice garlicky zing to it. The fresh cut fries were a little greasy but still good. The sleeper was that Greek Custard tho. When you walk in you have a case of temptations staring at you. The custard got my attention. Cold and dense custard wrapped in filo dough then topped with cinnamon and honey drizzle. Dang. This thing played with my emotions. Just so good and sticky. I would make a trip here just for this. It all came to about $22 with a can of Diet Coke and it hit the spot. The gyro was in the top 3 I've ever had, the fries I didn't really care for, the dessert selection I would make a special trip for. Solid 4 Stars

I started with the Cauliflower Tahini Soup, followed by a build-your-own salad bowl, a Chocolate Chip Cookie, and a Minty Pink Lemonade. The soup had a rich, creamy texture, though I found it a little too salty for my taste. Not knowing exactly what to expect, I loaded up my salad bowl with lentils and rice, mixed greens, hummus, baba ghanoush, crispy onions, pita bread, chicken shawarma, brisket, sweet beets, pickled cucumbers, pickled radish, pickled cabbage, cauliflower tabbouleh, marinated eggplant, and finished it with Brassica's roasted garlic sauce and tahini. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and full of contrasting textures. The combination of crisp vegetables, savory proteins, and creamy spreads made for a hearty, satisfying meal that kept me full long after lunch. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was exactly how I like it--crispy around the edges with a slightly well-done finish and plenty of chocolate in every bite. To wash it all down, the Minty Pink Lemonade was the perfect balance of sweet, tart, and refreshing, complementing the bold Mediterranean flavors beautifully. Overall, Brassica is a great option for a quick, customizable meal made with fresh ingredients. The tabbouleh is more heavy on the greens than the grain which was a refreshing change to me. It was dressed in a bright, fresh lemony dressing. More than I could eat in one sitting.
