    Spicy & Sour Chashu Tonkotsu

New ramen shop that opened by Battery Park. It was a bit out of the way, but I was determined to go venture out and see what they had to offer with friends. This restaurant sells itself heavily on the Michelin Star chef, so to me that raises the bar on expectation on the food, but it's also an excuse for them to charge for premium prices. Overall, I enjoyed the spread that we shared. We ordered a Da Hong Pao ($8) to share with the table. The staff will refill this whenever you empty the entire pot, so it's a pretty good deal. Very refreshing on a cold day. I personally also ordered the Signature Matcha Pina Colada (iced) ($8) and loved it. Highly recommend. We tried a variety of appetizers: The Crispy Butterflied Prawns ($15) were probably my 2nd favorite item we ordered. Kyushu-Style Chicken Wings ($15) - These wings were really small. Aside from that, they tasted good. Filet Mignon Black Pepper Rice Ball ($12) & Eel Black Pepper Rice Ball ($8) I would probably pass on. They were just a peppery sticky rice with a layer of the respective protein on top. Spicy Soup Dumplings (6 pcs) ($12) - These were my favorite dish. Loved the spiciness twist I don't think a lot of restaurants, if any, offer. For entree, I personally got the Tomato Chashu Tonkotsu ($20) and I have to say that I wasn't overly impressed with it. I guess that is because I wanted that typical bone broth, rather than a hybrid mix of the pork bone & tomato broth. I tried a bite (or sip) of the Spicy & Sour Chashu Tonkotsu ($18), which tasted like eating Sauerkraut Fish Soup. The Black Pepper Filet Mignon Fried Rice ($28) was pretty good.

I celebrated my birthday here and I was blown away. They had an all-you-can-eat special for $45. And everything I tried was delish. The filet mignon, prawns, matcha dragonfruit, signature matcha and snow ice matcha dessert was incredible. The service, presentation and quality was top tier. I can't wait to go back.

This chic Asian-fusion spot is a must visit if you're a lover of all things with mushroom and/or matcha! To start, I had the matcha cheese dragon fruit coconut. A refreshing coconut water based drink with dragon fruit and matcha cheese foam. SOOOO GOOD! Wendy was my server and was extremely attentive. She also provided great recommendations!

Went back for lunch on a relatively busy Sunday afternoon (easier to make reservations now through Resy) Started with the Black Truffle Fries (excellent) and the Indian Flatbread with Black Truffle Beef (unique) For entrees had to have the Signature Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen again and we also had the Black Pepper Eel Fried Rice (very good) Service was again friendly and efficient.

Walked in for a table of three without reservations and we were able to get seated right away on a Wednesday evening! The ramen options are reasonably priced and I ordered the Signature Tonkotsu. It was flavorful, not too salty, and a good, satisfying portion. We also got the black truffle fries to share for the table - I wasn't a huge fan of the type of fry and would have preferred something thicker. I would skip this appetizer option next time! Overall super spacious, good lighting, and comfortable ambiance, I'm glad this restaurant opened in Battery. Would definitely come back to try other menu items like the XLB Soup Dumplings!

My niece and I had a good time at Loong Ramen thanks to the relaxing vibe and really tasty food. The crispy prawns, eel rice bowl, and the spinach barley with filet mignon were all delicious. The spicy dumplings were very spicy but still worth ordering. The service was slow though. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, and no one checked on us until after our appetizers. The staff was friendly but clearly overwhelmed, and we didn't get water until after we'd finished eating, which wasn't ideal with such spicy dishes. There's also no alcohol on the menu, which is disappointing if you like pairing your meal with a drink. Overall, it's a good spot with great food, just expect a wait.

Loong Ramen is in a beautiful space in Battery Park City. There are views of the water and it's spacious inside with lots of seating. I tried multiple menu items, they have appetizers, dim sum, rice dishes, and of course ramen. Everything was plated beautifully, I especially enjoyed the Indian flatbread and the green alfalfa dumplings. Service was attentive and they offered suggestions.

This place feels more like a modern bistro than just a ramen shop. We ordered a mix of dishes and everything was well executed. The crispy Osaka-style wings were best eaten hot, the truffle beef flatbread was thin and crunchy in a good way, and the truffle mushroom rice was seriously addictive. The basil tonkotsu ramen was fragrant and balanced -- my husband finished the whole bowl. The space is clean, quiet, and nicely designed. Food felt thoughtful and polished. Would come back to try more.

The food is by a Michelin star chef but the service is OK at best. One of our waitresses was really rude and I did not have a great experience with her even after talking to the owner after the visit about the weight staff, they took my feedback which is appreciated. However, the experience itself made everything unpleasant. The servers was just unattended on her phone and we had to wait her down multiple times to get simple things like utensils to eat water to drink, etc. when it was time to pay the imposed a set tip when I simply questioned an amount, and it felt forceful, which I did not appreciate. however, our other server, the girl with long hair was really sweet!

Loong Ramen absolutely hit the spot. The broth had so much depth of flavor and tasted like it had been simmering forever in the best way possible. I got a spicy ramen and rice with filet mignon and the balance was perfect flavorful without overpowering everything else. Portions were generous, service was fast, and the whole place had such a comforting late-night NYC vibe. Definitely adding this to my regular ramen rotation

I ordered the kale cucumber lemon drink, expecting a fresh, light, and natural option based on the menu description. Unfortunately, it arrived noticeably sweet, which was surprising since white sugar wasn't listed as an ingredient. When I asked the waitress if the drink was sweetened, she confirmed it contained white sugar. I then politely inquired if it was possible to remake it without sugar. Her response was simply, "It's already made," delivered in a dismissive and rude tone. The lack of transparency about ingredients combined with the unhelpful and rude customer service left a poor impression. I won't be returning soon and would caution others who prefer unsweetened or naturally flavored drinks to double-check with staff before ordering. Food and ambiance seemed okay from what I could tell, but the service needs improvement.

Had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was unique and tasty. What we loved was in addition to the menu. They had a book with photos and detailed explanation and a backstory to each of their dish, which made this whole experience even better. The service was excellent. They made some great recommendations and were very prompt and warm. The vibes were excellent the way the decor matched with the atmosphere this place was full even on a weekday so I highly recommend making a reservation before going in.

Vietnamese Tom Yum Shrimp Ramen and Iced Matcha Cheese Dragon Fruit Coconut

Loong Ramen is a great addition to the Battery Park area. There is a good variety of options to choose from. Their menu has some unique options such as the Basil Chashu Tonkotsu Ramen and the Vietnamese Tom Yum Shrimp Ramen. My sister got the Basil one and I got the tom yum ramen. Both broths were uniquely flavored and balanced. The basil ramen was something new I haven't seen. I also liked that the pesto did not make it oily. We also shared some soup dumplings with our group. They have two different types: the classic and spicy. The dumplings are on the smaller side, but they do pack with flavor. The broth is lighter in intensity. The spicy version has a nice kick of heat, but not too spicy in heat at least for me. I would say it's slightly above mild. There is also vinegar and chili oil on the table if you need to add to any dishes. For drinks I tried the iced matcha cheese dragonfruit coconut drink. It was refreshing and the drink has a nice presentation. The waitresses that served us were both very friendly and pleasant. They only recently opened at the time of this review and the waitress told us they plan on adding some more desserts. They also didn't have any beer, wine or liquor drinks. We forgot to ask if they plan too soon. The decor of the restaurant was very welcoming and has a nice casual feel. There are two private unisex bathrooms in the back which were very clean. Overall we had a great time, great food and we would return again.

We started with the pork belly appetizer which was recommended and stated on the menu indicating it's their featured dish. It was the biggest disappointment as it was extremely fatty with large chunks of fat, while the lean portions were dry. It didn't look very appetizing. The dumplings were just okay--they had decent flavor but I was hoping for a crispier texture. I ordered the Zebra Ramen. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, but the broth was much saltier than I would have preferred. The pat of butter felt unnecessary and made the broth overly rich without adding much depth. The chashu was on the small side and also quite fatty and I assume it's the same as the appetizer but was sliced instead of in large chunks. The marinated egg had good flavor, although the yolk was a little more cooked than I typically like. Another thing is the pork belly appetizer came with an egg. I wish the server would tell us so we didn't have to add it to our ramen with an extra charge. The nori was also completely soggy by the time it reached our table. Overall, the noodles were the only highlight of the meal and the rest were very underwhelming. It's definitely not a place I would recommend.

I was NOT a fan of their mushroom friend rice. It was a plain white rice with sauteed mushrooms and corn. That's it. I expected a bit more and fresh ingredients especially for the price. I thought the rice would be at least been fried? I asked for some soy sauce and spice just to add a bit more flavor to it. However, our service was great and I cannot say enough kind words to the staff. The rest of our company enjoyed their food. My partner ordered a ramen which he enjoyed and wished there was more ramen options available for being a ramen (advertised) restaurant. Overall it was a good experience to try!

No complaints, except that I guess I prefer Tonkostu (pork bone) over Paitan (chicken bone). I appreciated sitting at the bar to watch the lone ramen monger stir around the next batches of broth, hand-torching some chashu; boiling, whip-drying, and gently nestling my noodles, then manually laying out the toppings. This spot delivers the kind of authentic paitan that reminds you why people used to line up on cold sidewalks just for a bowl. I ordered the Paitan Ramen Deluxe, and it genuinely lives up to the name. The broth is silky, rich, and comforting without being overly salty which is exactly what a proper paitan should be. The bowl comes loaded: tender shredded chicken, seared chashu, marinated soft-boiled eggs, fresh scallions, bamboo shoots, and a sheet of nori that ties everything together. Every topping tastes intentional, not just filler. The texture balance is what really stands out fatty chashu that melts, shredded chicken with real flavor, and noodles that hold up beautifully in the broth. You can taste the care in the soup base; it has depth, not just heat or salt. If you loved Totto Ramen back in the day, this feels like its modern successor same spirit, new precision. Toribro isn't trying to reinvent ramen which they're just doing it right. And in NYC, that alone makes it worth a visit.
