Stopped by this spot serving casual Korean food for a cozy weekend lunch. The menu isn't huge but definitely has some comforting and familiar dishes. Started off with their pajeon which featured fresh shrimp pieces. I loved how it was crispy without being overly fried. The ratio of batter to ingredients was also appropriate. For mains, the gim noodles were a highlight for me. It was very umami with the seaweed and mushroom flavors. Pasta was al dented and fried with enough "wok hei." The donkatsu curry rice was pretty standard. I thought the pork pieces were going to be better but nevertheless the ratio of curry to ingredients was pretty good. It came with a potato cream soup. The minimalistic space is perfect for a casual meal. Prices were solid. Staff were a little awkward but polite and smiley. Curious to check out their other dishes, drinks, and dessert next time!

I always want to try this Korean restaurant in Chinatown. Food is delicious and service is great even only has 1 server. It's a small restaurant but it is so neat and stylish. The strawberry cocktail is so yummy too.

The food is good and the service is great. Very clean and it does get full very quickly (on weekends). Would definitely come again. What a nice Korean restaurant in Chinatown.

I was excited about the food. The 4 of us got the lunch set. The sides were all the same. Not bad. The salmon was basic. The cutlet wasn't bad. My patty was meh. Portions were not bad. Slow but that's fine if you aren't in a rush. Sad that you can't order anything else on their menu besides the lunch set during lunch hours was going to give this place a decent review. But after we left within 10-20 minutes of us finishing food. The four of us either got really gassy. 2/4 of us has diarrhea. The other 2 only had very bad gas. Never coming back here after this experience.

Great vibe, the Crab Croquettes were amazing and so was the Kimchi Quesadilla - will certainly be back!

Review for Norimen Norimen is an Asian Korean-American fusion gem that I stumbled upon--and wow, what a find! During the day, when the sun beams down, it's almost impossible to spot. You could walk right past and miss it. But at night, the place comes alive, and it's much easier to find with its glowing signboard and inviting energy. I ordered their salmon, and let me just say--this dish is absolutely fantastic. The flavor is rich yet light, with a buttery texture that melts in your mouth. It's seared perfectly on the outside, soft and delicate inside, and literally falls apart as you pick into it. Every bite carries a zesty balance of flavor while still being unbelievably light. And the best part? It's served at such an affordable price for the quality you get. This salmon easily feels like a spotlight dish--something you'd expect at a fine dining spot. Norimen is the definition of a hidden treasure. If you haven't tried it yet, you have to. Especially the salmon--it's worth racing back for.

    Complimentary appetizer

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Restaurant is in a quiet part of Chinatown. Service was excellent. We received complementary appetizers before our dinner which went well with the beer. We opted for the sweet sauce in the Tang soo Dak- it was really crunchy and fresh. The Yangneom chicken was spicy and we enjoyed the rice noodles that came with it. Ambience was serene and the restroom was clean and pretty!

New place that just opened. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the service was amazing! My husband loved the salmon entree, and the ice cream was delicious. They also treated us to complimentary mocktail - so refreshing and perfect for the summer! For the noodles, you get the sauce on the side. Make sure to only pour as much as you can handle the spiciness. We're so glad we gave this place a shot. Huge thanks to the awesome staff who encouraged us to come in.

Chicken pajeon, tofu yogurt spread, soobak mocktail, soojung cocktail, hojicha pudding.

Was walking through Chinatown last night and randomly came across this new Korean spot -- such a great find! The food, cocktails, and overall vibe were all on point. Loved the high ceilings and warm interior -- everything felt super thoughtful and well put together. Definitely a hidden gem!! Highly recommend the tofu yogurt appetizer -- one of the best apps I've had in a while! They said scoop sourdough chip with tofu yogurt . It's so savory and crispy!! And the crispy chicken pancake? So good and juicy and tender. We got roasted green tea pudding. They put crispy quinoa. That's awesome!! Also, the Soonbak mocktail and Soojung cocktail were super refreshing -- perfect for this hot summer weather. Definitely coming back!

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

The Amazake Kick was balanced with just the right amount of sweetness, making it a fantastic starter. For food, we ordered the scotch egg, sliders, and fish and chips. The scotch egg was solid, though the sausage layer felt slightly dry this time around. The sliders were great, while the fish and chips were decent--nicely crispy, but the fish needed a bit more flavor seasoning.
