I contacted Loona Construction by recommendation of my old friend, as they are a reliable and high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling company. Starting from the beginning, Ed and Eric took good care of my parents' project; their designer was very creative and accomplished at visualizing what we had in mind. My project required city permits, asbestos testing, and some extra inspections; the guys were able to flawlessly get all the needed paperwork and make sure the project is done up to new building codes. Craftsmanship and quality are amazing; there were no cutting corners, and everything was done properly with good preparation and using the right materials and tools. Project management by Ed was very easygoing. He was very communicative, and my family knew what was going on with the project and what was going to be next. Customer service by all workers was just great; everyone at Loona Construction was very responsive and helpful. I'm so glad I trusted Loona Construction with my project; Eric did a great job educating me about my project and construction in general, and I was able to actually invest my money into my project and not just spend it on some poor-quality job and non-lasting materials. Loona Construction's bid was the highest I've got, but after the completion of the job, I understood why, and I'm sure that the money spent on the project was worth every penny. What started off as a pleasant and decent quality set of projects turned out to be a total disaster, disappointment and huge nightmare. Eric the owner is knowledgeable and professional but unfortunately their dedication and attention to us and the quality of their work dramatically declined after a few months. Not just quality of work, but communication, transparency, dedication and more. We had them work on several projects on our house including a couple of bathrooms, stairs and walls which we were mostly happy with although we had to micromanage a lot of their work, shoddy craftsmanship and continually chase after them. But the last major project, a big walk in closet rebuild was where the biggest nightmare came in where they charged us a lot of money and did incredibly low quality work. We hired a structural engineer for them to follow the plans and they agreed to do it but they didn't even come close to following the plans or the outlined contract. How do we know...because ...We had several LEAKS and when we opened up the walls we saw that they cut corners on almost everything including major structural framework. Not only violating the contract but leaving us unsafe. The project manager/foreman was virtually absent during all of this part of the project and frankly I'm not sure if he knew too much about construction and building codes. People they hire are not all that experienced, it seems, so if they are not being watched by a foreman who knows what's going on, they mickey mouse low quality work throughout the project (we saw this with other parts of the other projects we worked with them as well, where we had to continually follow up and micromanage all of their work.) We had to hire several other contractors and inspectors to redo their shabby work which ended up costing us a lot of money, time, and stress. (In their defense, they did attempt to rectify some of the work but it was only after a fight and a fraction of what they were contracted to do). This was disappointing because not only did it cost us a lot of money and unimaginable stress but it felt like a betrayal since we had been working with them for so long and we felt a real connection with them and their team, only to be disrespected and betrayed in the end. read more

I've worked with Eric from Loona on two projects - one patching drywall on my ceiling and another to build a platform deck for a hot tub. In both cases Loona was excellent. Eric is prompt and does high quality work. He is not the cheapest, but his prices are reasonable given the high quality of his work. We had an urgent need for a shower door installation. Eric and Dylan were incredibly responsive - every time I texted I received a response within a couple of minutes. They also went above and beyond to accommodate us, to the extent that they arranged an installation the next day at 6:00 in the evening, with no additional charges. The installers, Ed and Rus, did a fantastic job and were very pleasant to deal with. They were careful to avoid cracking our newly-installed tile even though it took them extra time by drilling slowly.
