It's easy to miss, as their sign is somewhat obscure. I noticed the word "gastropub" painted on the backside of the building, as we were parking. We walked up the back, all the way around the building and past two other eateries, before we found the front door. There is a little seating area out front, so look for that. Friends had arrived early & secured a large table out front. We saw many groups waiting for tables. So, arrive very early if you have more than 4 in your party. I'm not sure why someone was complaining about not being able to bring kids, they must have LBB confused with some other place. We had 4 kids at our table and my buddy beings his girls here on a regular basis. They have a children's menu, with healthy side options. I chose an Alohawk, which lands on the booze scale at 8.0. It was delicious and I'm not typically a beer drinker. My pulled pork nachos were freshly fried and smokey. The brisket sandwich was pretty good but it could use some sort of a sauce to elevate it. The meat was tender but not melt in your mouth. Their full order of garlic fries is a huge mountain o' potatoes. The potato salad was very sweet and relish forward. Service is where they could really focus some attention. We had to ask multiple times to order, and to get our check. After waiting a very long period of time waiting for help, when we were finally able to flag someone down for something, we were told we had to wait for our server only. That happened 3 or 4 times. I would not recommend coming here if you are in a hurry. I did hear one female worker helping people out and she seemed to hustle, so maybe it's a matter of who your server is. I really feel like they land somewhere between 3-4 stars right now, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. read more

This place is awesome!! The service is stellar! Great food! Great Beer and we literally had the best server we have ever had anywhere! Yerem was attentive, quick and with it being super busy never faltered! Definitely recommend this place! My tattoo artist recommended it and we will definitely be back! First time here... and I was amazed how nice a small town carries into a small but wonderful brewery. As you walk in you really get a feel how tight and careing a small community is, with open tables and people welcoming you to sit down and have a drink. Friendly tasting rooms that embraces the rich history of Loomis, but with the modern touches of two flat screen TVs for sports viewing. There is also an outdoor sitting area for kicking back after work with a bucket of salty pretzels and a cold one. Because It is a small brewery when we were there they were out of some beers. We talked to the Brew Master and he said "their drinking it faster then I can make it." That is because it is great beer. We hit this place up on a Tuesday. It was pretty hot so we sat inside and each ordered flights so we could try what they had to offer. The flight pretty much covered all their beers on tap I think there were only two that weren't included and then a couple that they only offered in bottles. We are totally IPA/Stout people but were actually surprised to find our favorite was the Golden Eagle Madarin Wheat. Wow what a great beer. It's hard in summer to be in the mood for heavy beers so this refreshing beer hit the spot without lacking flavor or luster. It was a total shock but a happy surprise to find a lighter beer to enjoy. I have since found it in Whole Foods and Total wine and can say it is just as good in the bottle. As for the rest there was nothing else that particularly stuck out in a good or bad way. The space inside is pretty small, but on a day with cooler weather they had a much larger outdoor space. The food truck there was ridiculously good. "Doggie Style Hotdogs" He made one with shredded pork on top and it was just crazy good. Really nice guy who loves what he does so that was awesome. This really is a solid little brewery and not to far of a drive from Roseville. read more

This review is for the beer drinkers. Here's a quick run down on what we sampled: Swetzer Pale Ale (5%) - hoppy but very light and scarily easy to drink. LBB Big Boy (8.2%) - don't know how to describe except delicious. According to the expert taster in our group it had touches of honey, pine, a little orange and a little touch of hops. Uhm yeah, he was pretty intense, I just said, "damn, this sh*t is good!" Vindicator IPA - not as strong as I like my IPA but good. 6.8% seemed on the lighter side of IPA's but it was an easy drinking IPA which could lead to trouble. Red Robin Ale 5.8% ESB - not a true expert on ESB's but didn't thin it was "roasty" as described. I think some of these beers may have changed since we were last in for a tasting, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed with whatever they have on tap. The staff was super nice, prices were good...great little gem in Loomis! read more

Great services, amazing food and drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly. Highly recommend the Dirty Grilled Cheese!

I really wanted to like Loomis Basin Brewing, especially after attempting to visit several times and missing their open hours. I love the beer boom in the Sacramento region, and Placer County seems to be brewing up a lot of great options. Their hours and location are a little challenging, but they place seems popular. Unfortunately, the beers I sampled at Loomis Basin seemed to miss the mark. On my visit, I had their standard sampler with 6 beers. Their mandarin wheat and ESB were OK, but the rest did not have a lot of good flavor and did not hit my palate well. This was somewhat surprising given the popularity of the place. The brewery itself was nice and eclectic with a big TV and an open brewery. Staff were nice and even sympathized with my poor beer experience, but still this place is really about the beer. Loomis Basin sells their beer in regional distribution, and I recommend sampling it before heading over. If you like it, I think you will have a better time than I did. read more

Saved LBB for my 100th review, it is the coolest ever! Great vibe and down right shittin and a gettin great beer. Staff are informative and know their brews, always love learning about the craftsmanship. These euro style gastro pub bier gardens are so refreshing and fun, super casual, low key and full of beer loving fans. There's a few different areas to hang out in depending on your mood and what kind of conversation you want to have. So far I'm loving their porter, avenger and not so much their alohawk. Cheers!! read more

I grew up in Loomis and have spent so much time drinking at breweries outside of Loomis, it was pretty surreal coming back here for one. They have a zillion outdoor tables...kudos. Free pretzels...double kudos. Beers that don't all taste the same...triple kudos. I enjoyed my visit! read more

Delicious beer, cool vibe. Their beers are good and they all taste completely different from one another. Also loved the little taster board and the info card that described the beers, the IBRs and the flavors infused. Very helpful!! The seating area is cool too, i didn't even notice that they had outdoor seating area until i left. For some reason it was barred off yet full of people. Overall a nice place. They had a Mexican - asian fusion food truck just outside the brewery, that was convenient. Nice to have some spicy korean burritos while you taste the beer. Good experience, good beer, good excellent California weather. I'll be back if i'm ever in the area again. read more

We went to check out Loomis Basin because we were in the area and had heard good things about their beer. Loomis Basin has a small bar to order you beer from and a large seating area outside! You can grab a seat indoors or outdoors. Outside they had a bunch of picnic tables that were covered and a cool deck area with lots of tables. I ordered the double IPA and it was very good! Next time I will have to order one of their flights because I saw a few people walking around with them and they looked pretty awesome. Loomis Basin Brewing gets five stars for great atmosphere, great beer and great service! read more

Loomis, if you're afraid of venturing too far, is just past Rocklin if you're coming from Roseville or Sacramento. They're a warehouse tenant amongst other tenants that are very alluring like Gourmet Garage next door or Casque Wines across the way.. So alluring that yeah, I had wine at Casque even after I had beers at Loomis Basin Brewing. And! I would have had food from Gourmet Garage had they been open. I just think-- When's the next time I'll be here? But, what about the brewery in a warehouse? We went through the doorway and that was the tasting room. There was a bar, several tables and TVs. Real comfortable setting. Lots of older Caucasian men. Hello Loomis! If you're wondering what "older" is to me-- it's 50 and up. I saw their patio area from the outside when we were walking up but, didn't check it out. A patio area, though? Awesome. They sell beer by the pint, growlers, and I also saw a lad haul a keg out so me thinks kegs are available, too. If I can, I always start with a sampler.. I've never been, I'll try it all. They offer a taster board of 6 samples for $6. Along with the board came a laminated card showing which beer was which. They had four staples and two seasonal beers.. Those were labeled "seasonal" on the card and the bartender pointed at the board for further information. It was a good variety. Truly, something for everyone.. A bitter one, a hoppy one, a fruity one.. They don't serve food but, they sometimes have different food vendors come through. Thursdays-- El Matador is usually there. Fridays-- They have Firevine Wood Fired Pizza and Mac Daddy Dogs on Saturday.. Great thing going here.. read more

Okay, if you think that Miller High Life is the Champagne of beers.... you need to go to LBB. You will know why good beer is worth the extra pennies. The beer selection is small but big enough. The beers are inexpensive and very good. The Alohawk was my first favorite but the double X IPA has been my choice beer lately. The beers are inexpensive, the growlers are inexpensive, and the outside area is fun if you want to drink, eat, and relax. If you haven't tried this place, go check it out and you'll love it - and if you don't then there's something wrong with you. read more

We will never return to this restaurant again. Yes the ambience is nice and it does make Loomis quite active in the beer scene. We were asked to move from our dinner table to Make room for other guests and they never say anyone there through our entire stay. Another time we were told there was a 2 hour maximum for tables. That is a first for us. Can you imagine that happening in Europe where dinner is a two hour minimum for families who are sharing together. Hopefully someone comes in who knocks them out of the "biggest game in town." Small towns need small quaint friendly. This place ruins it. Food is so so as well As service. read more

I don't drink a ton of beer but they have small taster cups that are perfect for my low tolerance. I've never come on a day with food options, but I've heard they have food trucks here occasionally. The people are always friendly. The place isn't too rowdy. And I like that they have cornhole even if the floor isn't perfectly flat to play on. read more

Rudest service in the world. Came here to relax after a rough week and the service was horrible. The servers were incredibly rude and disrespectful. 3.5 stars. Good beer. Polite service. Not dog friendly. We didn't know. We were allowed to finish our beers. They weren't rude about it. We live in Auburn, which has four dog and kid friendly breweries (Crooked Lane, Moonraker, Knee Deep, Alehouse). Those will be getting our business from now on. We tried to venture out, but Loomis is not the place. Breweries, dogs, families, and kids are a thing. If a place doesn't agree with that, it's not the place for me. read more

A true example of a great local company. Ownership and staff are solid, genuine and greet you with top of the line hospitality. Whether you are coming in for a growler, keg or just exercising your punch card the lineup of beers to choose from is guaranteed to satisfy any beer drinker. The pub around the corner offers great food and the same lineup of great beer but if you want to see where the magic happens and where everyone knows your name be sure to take some time and enjoy the brewery and tasting room at Loomis Basin Brewery. read more

Waited for 20 minutes with my wife. We were repeatedly ignored by every employee here. Another couple sat at a nearby table had the same experience we did and we all left very unhappy. All the employees seemed to only care about chatting with each other in the rear of the bar area. Very disappointed in this service. The food looked good and they weren't too busy. Was a good opportunity for a good review. Missed. I am now thankful for the bad service here because we discovered Black Vinyl ale project down the road a bit and we loved it!!! I understand the concept of having a 21 and over policy. But this place makes an exception they say for toddlers and baby's in a stroller or carrier. However when we were there apparently this is not the case. There was a toddler that was running around. Apparently they were an exception to the policy too. They say it's because of the equipment and the porch being sloped or something. I will never go back to this place since they make exceptions to their rules on the fly. If you make a policy stick by it. read more

Did not try the beer (maybe next time), but the food was excellent! My wife had a tri tip sandwich and I had a Cuban sandwich. Meat was tender and flavorful and the sandwiches were well prepared, with generous portions. Fries were crispy and had good flavor and the cole slaw was good with a vinegar base. One of the owners served us and was very nice, service was good. This place is great and good to see this restaurant come to downtown Loomis! read more

The product is good but Jo, the brew master's wife treats customers horribly. Yesterday she exceeded her Normal arrogant and condescending behaviour and was an insulting bitch. Yesterday I made an honest mistake. I was talking to a friend and noticed that there were some sausage pieces on a plate and a sign saying now server and listed the type of sausage. They looked like samples so I took one. After I ate the sausage Jo rudely asked if I was a member of the Loomis Chamber to which I replied I was not. Jo then picked up a face down sine to show me it was the Chamber Mixer and I apologized. As I walked off Joe said "Jesus Christ" to her Daughter-in-law Linda. Now mind you I am not a stranger, I currently have $600 Dollars of used beer cards waiting to be turned in for the monthly drawing. I used to tip at least 20%. Joe needs to figure out that while Jim may earn the money it is the customers who pay her mortgage. She needs to either stay home or not treat the customers like they are a bother. I still have lots of beers on my current $100 beer card so I will continue to go until that is used up. read more

This place has outstanding beer. I wish I lived closer so I could come more often. I can't believe someone left them a one star review because you can't bring kids in...this place doesn't serve food and your only drinking beer if you come...WTF?? Why would you want to bring your kids here with you? And if you bring your kids, your probably going to drive those kids home after drinking. As another business owner, it really bugs me to see a bad review because some b**** wants to drink and drive with her kids. Come check this place out. You won't regret it. read more

Was looking forward to visiting this brewery for the first time with some friends. Thoroughly checked out their website and made plans with friends for today. Made the trek over only to find a sign on their door that said they closed at 5:00 today. Their website said nothing of being closed on this Saturday when they are normally open until 8 pm. Such a bummer. We had another couple meeting up with us from out of town and it was a bit of a hassle... not sure if I will go back anytime soon... read more

This is the first brewery I started visiting in Placer County and that may be the reason it holds a special place in my heart....but I don't think so. Along with having a great selection of beers (all so good I have yet to determine my favorite) they also have a location that is off the mainstream path and an atmosphere that is comfortable, inviting and downright cool. I lose track of time and sip the night away every time I am there. Some things are best left unsaid. You just need to visit and see for yourself. Cheers!!! read more

LBB is one of the greatest discoveries that I've made since moving to the area! A microbrewery 4 miles from my house and with some seriously great beer. The tasting room has a great vibe; it's small and the employees are welcoming. Just outside the tasting room is a small covered patio area complete with benches, a flat screen, and a view of where the beer making goes down. Their beer is reasonably priced; $3.50 a pint or for $4 you can get a sampler of 4 of their beers. They also sell growlers! My husband and I ended up bringing home a growler of the IPA... It was gone the next day! They don't serve food but the owner informed us that they will be having a food vendor stop by on Friday and Saturdays. We saw signs for this bar brewery all over roseville so inevitably we had to check it out. One Saturday we made our way out to Loomis and we wen't disappointed. It's a little hidden and you have to drive in the back of a bunch of industrial buildings. I might have missed it but I didn't notice a sign near the street to direct us to the location. Before we went we checked out their website and it said that they would have a hot dog food truck, Ruffhaus from El Dorado Hills on Saturdays, which was perfect because we wanted to check out that place too... but when we walked in the bartender said that they no longer served food on Saturdays... BUMMER! They should probably update their website. They had about 8 beers they were tasting and I enjoyed all of them. They were very flavorful. My favorite was the Alohawk and Vindicator. I also liked how they used the local mandarins in their wheat beer. Overall, cool spot. I'm sure we will be back. read more
