I love that they have a host who manages reservations and phone calls, so everything runs smoothly. I also appreciate that they never reuse nail files or buffers, which makes the salon feel very clean and hygienic. Another thing I love is that they never make you feel rushed, even when they're busy. If you know, you know! One of the worst salon experiences is when there's a line of people waiting, the technicians rush through your appointment, and the quality of the work suffers. At that price point, I expected the finished nails to closely resemble the inspiration photos I provided, especially since the design was the main reason I chose the service. I decided to try this salon because of the many positive reviews, so I was really hoping for a closer match to the look I showed. Angel did a nice job overall, but unfortunately, the final design did not meet my expectations, and I left feeling disappointed with the result.

Came to Look At Me on their THIRD day open in Walnut Creek and I already know this is going to be one of my new favorite spots. I've actually followed my nail tech Barbie wherever she's gone for the past two years, so when I heard she was starting at Look At Me, I had to come check out her new home. And honestly, I could not be happier for her. Barbie is so talented, detail oriented, and always manages to bring my nail ideas to life. I trust her completely, which is why I've happily followed her from location to location! Also, parking was way easier than I expected. I was a little anxious about parking in Walnut Creek, but I found a lot really close to the shop, so that was a nice surprise. Now let's talk about the nails because I was going for early fall vibes and LOOK at this set! I love how they turned out. The whole Russian manicure style is exactly what I love too. So clean, precise, and detailed, with so much attention paid to the cuticle and overall shape. Barbie really takes her time and it shows in the finished set. The new location of this salon in Walnut Creek is absolutely incredible! Everything is so beautiful and atmospheric, the team is wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is amazing. I'm so happy they opened a new location in Walnut Creek because it's so much closer for me than going all the way to San Francisco. I loved everything a million percent -- it was honestly such an amazing experience! The receptionist was also incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. I got a Russian manicure at this salon a few weeks ago, and unfortunately, my experience was very…read moredisappointing. For context, I regularly get Russian manicures and they typically last 4-6 weeks with absolutely no lifting. Right from the start, I was a little thrown off when my nail tech had to call someone else for guidance on the shape I was requesting. It wasn't anything unusual--just a natural-looking rounded square shape. The person on the phone told me my nails were too short to achieve that shape, which simply wasn't true. My nails were actually quite long, and I've had the exact same shape done many times before by other nail techs without any issues. That was already a bit off-putting, especially considering I paid for a Top Master Russian Manicure. You would expect that level of service and expertise to come with confidence in basic shaping requests. I tried to move past the initial experience, but the real issue was the quality of the manicure itself. In less than a week, the gel started lifting on every finger--both around the edges and near the cuticle area. I'm not sure what caused it, but I know this is not normal based on my experience with Russian manicures. They are supposed to be long-lasting, and mine have always held up beautifully elsewhere. Not even two weeks later, I had to completely remove the gel because the lifting had become so severe. It was catching on everything and looked terrible. My nails are now back to having nothing on them because the manicure simply didn't last. Disappointed is an understatement. Given the price point and the level of service advertised, I expected much better results.
