Okay before you read my review, just know I really tried to support this small business and gave them a try FOUR times. The first appointment I had was pleasant. The entire staff was extremely nice to me BUT I almost immediately noticed that my new acrylic set did not look like it was entirely glued to my nail. Having worked in customer service for so long, I'm not one to complain so I did not say anything. Within 2 days, 2 nails had already fallen off and my hair would get stuck between the acrylic and natural nail when I would shower, which goes to show the acrylic nail was never placed correctly. I politely asked for my missing nails and loose nails to be fixed in my next visit.
I continued to experience the same issues following the next 3 appointments I had. Nails falling off after 1-3 days and gaps between the acrylic and natural nail. Still, I continued to go to this salon. I did not have the courage to find a new salon until August 24th (my last visit). I texted the owner Vincent for an appointment and he said his only opening was at 8 AM. I agreed and was there at 8 AM, in the cold, outside. As I am sitting in my chair, again, IN THE COLD, Vincent is making appointments over the phone stating the same thing he told me but for later times. "I'm busy today so I can only see you at noon". "I'm busy today so I can only see you at two". I do not like the dishonesty. Again, I did not say anything or call him out on his lies because I am not one to complain. A few minutes go by and one of the ladies politely tells me that next time I schedule an appointment, to ask for a pedicure and fill vs. asking for a mani-pedi that takes a different amount of time. I sincerely apologized and she said it was okay. Within 10 minutes, Vincent the owner goes to the chair next to me where there is a young girl sitting, visibly upset and screaming that she messed up his scheduling for the day because I asked for a mani-pedi rather than a fill and pedi. The girl tries to tell him she was not the one to make that error and that it was me but Vincent was so upset, he didn't give her a chance to talk. He then realizes it was me and then he started to scream at me until one of the other ladies told him to stop.
Feeling bad about how I was treated, I finally decided to look into another salon. I drove to Livermore and went to Petals & Polish (they are AMAZING by the way. Ask for April!). There... we made the discovery that my NAIL WAS BEGINNING TO GET INFECTED DUE TO THE DIRT GETTING TRAPPED BETWEEN MY ACRYLIC AND NATURAL NAIL. If you don't believe me, PLEASE look at the picture attached to this review. People please for the health of your nails DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. read more
