This place is so good! Got our typical orders and loved all of them. I'm from the Bay Area in San Jose, so have had dim sum in the Richmond / sunset area of SF and Cupertino, but this is definitely better, which is so weird to admit!! Xiu Mai was awesome, char siu bao, Chinese broccoli cooked to perfection. The wait wasn't terrible on a weekend with kiddos - about 20 minutes! Food was fantastic and we will definitely be back!

This was our first time here this is a huge dining room and the design is exquisite on one side. There is a large TV light display in here are an amazing number for people and tables you order from the menu and the dishes are brought out. Some minor problems. The dessert items were brought up first and one of the items a scallop first they said they were out of it then they said they already delivered it, but they identified as the scallop roll did not have scallop in it with some form of meat Flavors were very good prices were reasonable for the area two of us ate for about $30 a person. They do have a parking lot behind the restaurant. We were there during the week no problem parking or getting a table at lunchtime.

I am always looking for new dim sum spots to try whenever I am in Los Angeles. I have passed by Longo Seafood Restaurant many times but never paid much attention to it. Despite seeing average reviews and hearing about mediocre service, I decided to give it a try. We arrived near the end of their dim sum service hours, but they were still able to accommodate all of our orders. We stuck with some classics, including shumai, beef meatballs, and beef cheung fun, and also ordered the beef ho fun. One of my favorite dim sum dishes is shumai, and the ones here were nearly twice the size of the typical versions I have had elsewhere. They were juicy, flavorful, and definitely a standout dish. I also really enjoyed the beef ho fun, which we ordered wet style rather than dry. It came with tender slices of beef, soft wide rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, and was smothered in a rich, savory brown sauce. The dish was delicious, and the portion size was very generous. Overall, I thought this was a solid and authentic dim sum restaurant. The service was attentive, and our food arrived fairly quickly. Longo Seafood Restaurant made a great first impression, and it is a place we will definitely remember and consider revisiting on our next trip to LA.

This place was highly rated by a lot of foodies. So we decided to give it a try. -Shumai- pretty juicy -Har gow - the dumpling skin was too thick -Congee - thousand egg and shredded meat - good but not my favorite -Broccoli - not bad -Chasu buns - one of the best ones. Sticky and sweet on the outside, soft and flavorful -tofu - pretty juicy -Steamed napa cabbage with fish - tasted interesting. Couldn't really tell it's fish. Parking in the back. It gets packed on a weekend.

Took my family here for dim sum and it's become my favorite in the entire 626. I love that they have my favorite hard-to-find items like the almond tea with puff pastry and rice rolls with braised beef. The best part? It's all done well, authentically, and is super tasty. The hao gao and siu mai come in gigantic portions that I ended up having to share in order to try all the items, so they're great value. Of the 10+ dishes, not one was a miss. Highly recommend and this is our new go-to dim sum spot.

Great food and great service! Been here for both dim sum and dinner. Both has been amazing!

I came here for a multi--occasion private party. Cons: The outside looked dated and the women's restroom was beyond disgusting. Pros: The inside was beautiful, our private room was very nice and the food was good. We ordered the banquet menu and all the food was delicious: walnut prawns, steam sea bass, steam chicken, filet mignon, lobster, fried rice, combination platter with sausage, duck, chicken and jellyfish, just to name a few. Service was ok. There is a free parking lot in the back and free street parking.

It feels very clean inside--grand and spacious. The service was excellent, and the food came out quickly. Everything we tried was so good. This is definitely a place you should go with a large group to really enjoy the full experience.

The dim sum here is HEAVENLY! Nothing was short of expectional, and much cleaner than most other dim sum spots in the area. Everything came out quickly and the staff was very on top of ensuring that tea and waters were refilled throughout the dining experience.

Came with family on a weekday for lunch when you get a slight discount on the dim sum. This time we sat in the side room where it was quieter and can still see into the main dining room and the colorful clips running on the walls. We had the HUGE sui mai, HUGE ha gow, Chinese herbs chicken feet - tender, 5 spices taro cake, honey comb taro, and rice rolls and beef stew in sizzling pot. Everything was delicious! Nice ambience, service, and free parking lot in the back.

Forced to come here and get dim sums to go because a few of the dim sum only place are closed on Tuesday. Bought three orders sui mar, three orders of shrimp buffs, two orders of chicken naps, one order of tofu skin roll and one order of chun fun. The bill for ten orders came to a little more than $52.00. Not really bad, but it a little cheaper at Dim sum only places. The foods tasted about the same. It is all good. Ray out!

This review is for their to-go bbq and dim sum location which is located street-side, not inside the restaurant where the entrance is in the corner. You can park in the Longo restaurant parking lot or on the street. Note: This quick to-go spot is cash only Portions are good and service is quick. The place can get busy during peak hours Wanted to pick up something quick for lunch and Longo bbq was nearby. Inside is pretty typical for this type of food. There's an assortment of veggies and proteins where you can order a ala carte or as a lunch combo plate. They also have dim sum options if you're looking to pick any up. Prices are pretty good, a ala carte runs about $8 I think for a large and 2 item combos are $9-10. Spent $19 for a large portion of fried pork chop (forgot to take a picture) and a 2 item combo with Char siu and roasted pork To be honest, I probably have a better experience with this place mainly due to the fact that I went early where everything was still fresh. Might be different later in the day for food items that may have been sitting for a while. One thing I do like about all of the items we ordered was that they were not overly salted. Some might think it's bland, but I enjoy the light flavoring. The roasted pork was done well, just enough fattiness to give flavor. Same with fried porkchop. The veggies that come with the combo plate was fresh, well cooked The negative would probably be the char siu, where I just think it needed more flavor or sauce. Since it may not have been marinated enough, I wish they would have poured some of the sauce on top of it and the rice to make it more satisfying. I'll have to ask next time I visit.

The bald man in glasses and white button shirt was a little rude. We made a dinner reservation for 5:30pm and there were a bunch of open tables but he was giving us a hard time when we asked to switch tables and they were all open. Other than that majority of the staff esp the female kitchen employees bringing out the food was really sweet and attentive. We came both for dim sum and dinner and both was nice! Food quality is really good! Came for the king crab at night and that was cooked really well. Parking: free lot in the back

It was our first time at Tam's and we weren't disappointed at all! Tam's has a breakfast menu with plenty of options. The two of us ordered two breakfast combos and each came with a drink, two appetizers and an entrée. My hubby ordered the cold Hong Kong milk tea, which required a $1 surcharge for cold drinks. I ordered the hot Hong Kong milk tea. Both milk teas were delicious--no complaints at all! We both ordered their jook and for our appetizers, we ended up trying all four options since each combo lets you choose two appetizers. Everything was yummy and the portions were generous enough for two people. If you're a party of three and aren't big eaters, I'd recommend ordering just two breakfast combos. There's a parking lot outside since the restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza, so parking wasn't an issue. I'll definitely bookmark this place for future visits whenever I'm in the area. The staff were friendly and very attentive. They regularly checked on us to see if we needed more water. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating, which was a nice option.

Since my husband and I were in the general area, we decided to get a late dinner on a Saturday night. We walked in around 8:45 pm and were acknowledged by an employee after waiting for maybe 5 minutes asking if we would like a table. But the strange thing was that I had told the the employee who acknowledged me that I wanted a table for 2, he didn't sit us. He looked like he was trying to clean the table but then just walked away... but luckily another employee saw us and asked how many for a table. But anyway, after looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: A11: Fish Siu Mai with Rice Roll, $13.99 prior to tax- I ordered this dish, which was plenty for one person (this dish is found under the appetizer section of the menu). I actually really love rice noodles and also fish siu mai so this was a great combination for me. And the peanut and soy sauce mixture poured all over reminds me of when I had freshly made rice noodle in Hong Kong many years ago. But my husband would prefer the rice noodle not to have any of the sauce (or on the side so he can maybe just dip it if he wanted to). I think this dish could use less of the peanut soy sauce mixture too but I still overall really liked this dish. D9: Grilled Pork Chop with Black Pepper Sauce, $16.99 prior to tax- This dish comes with your choice of either steamed white rice or noodle. My husband decided to have rice. He thought the pork chop was delicious and perfectly cooked. He also really liked the black pepper sauce that he picked to go with the pork chop (I know you can also pick a mushroom sauce but I don't recall if there was a 3rd sauce you can choose from or not). Portion wise, this is more than enough for one person since you are getting 2 pork chops. This is actually one of my mom's favorite dishes to order when she goes to any Hong Kong style cafes too. ----------------------------------- (Total= $34.23 after tax, prior to tip) Service was minimal. I spoke both Cantonese and English (well actually my husband spoke English and I spoke in Cantonese. I am just trying to make myself speak Cantonese more) so you shouldn't really have a problem ordering here. I really like the food and I am glad this place does open late. And it was pretty busy as time progressed while we were here. We also saw a few large groups come in and the staff moving quickly to put tables together to accommodate these big groups. Overall, we had a positive dining experience and would come back.

Finally, I made the journey. And arrived for lunch, on a weekday. To come here and not order their iconic Signature dish, the House Special Newport Style Lobster, would be a sin. Imagine a trip that was almost 40 miles and an hour of traffic (one way), with no reward. It was time to experience the real thing. The signature dish. Walking in solo, I was given a booth. I liked that. On seating, I ordered a beverage to quench my thirst, catch my bearings and breath. Almost immediately, the servers kept bugging me to order. The place was barely 1/4th occupied. Whats the hurry. After all this, I had to repeatedly tell them, that i had already spoken with a server, regarding my order. Just wanted to relax first, catch my breath, sip my beverage. Coming here, I was aware that their tank lobsters would be in the 4-6 pound range. Good for, and ordered by, at least 3-4 people. So when I, as a solo diner, ordered a 4-pound lobster (with no other choice), just for myself, they began to leave me alone and give me more respect. The cut up wok prepared, House Special Newport Style Lobster, arrives wonderfully presented, with heaps of leeks, scallions and jalapenos. My kind of recipe. Truly unique and exceptional. There is no sauce, and only a mild flavor, yet tasty. My biggest concern here was (after reading numerous internet reviews), that the lobster would be rubbery and dry. Not so for me. I lucked out. Problem here is, while there is lots of meat (a 4 pound lobster will yield at the most, about a pound of meat), they do not have, or provide, the essential lobster cutlery, to do justice to this beautiful crustacean. I did ask though. They did not seem to care and told me to use my fork. LOL. Steamed rice is complimentary. So is a soup, with sweet and sour, being the only choice (I did not like this). Either way, my plan was to take leftovers (there was a lot), home, where I possess high class lobster cracking tools. And thank heavens I did. They were most useful, to crack and dig into all the lobster meat, that would have been inaccessible at the restaurant. With additional TLC, the leftovers held up well, to provide several additional lobster meals. Need to go back to try their enticing and reasonably priced variety of lunch specials (more seafood, choices minus lobster). Another sought after box on my list, is now checked.

The orange chicken was sliced very thin, and the batter was extra crispy. We enjoyed it, but it's different from the typical orange chicken you'd find at most Chinese fast food restaurants. Restaurant was not busy at the time, our food came out pretty quickly. At the end of the meal, they offered to help pack our leftover food along with sauce, superior service. Skin was thin, crispy but still had a delicate layer of gelatinous fat under that's so addicting and great pairing with the complimentary pot of white rice. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the seasoning is not overwhelming but tasteful enough that keeps you wanting to go back for more. But if you really hate ginger, you might want to avoid as they're really fine pieces and would be impossible to avoid. -Sliced beef with Chinese broccoli, beef was tender and full of the wok flame flavor, vegetables were fresh and crunchy, no notes. Ambiance 5/5 -Restaurant was super quiet, I really liked how calm it was in there. Mostly comfortable booths around the perimeter and tables were all separated by clear dividers. My favorite was the bathroom's decor, it felt like an early 90s metal/futuristic ocean theme.

After not going here for about a year, we ended up eating here twice in two weeks. I had started a…read morereview after the first visit, and it wasn't going to be a great one, but the second visit redeemed themselves a bit, so I'll go with that experience. First, my favorite thing about this place is how proactive they are about refilling your iced tea. Love it. Their food is really good. They have some dishes that others in their category (e.g., Kim Tar, Newport, Boston Lobster) don't have, and most everything we've eaten was pretty good. It doesn't take long for the food to come out, though they are stingier than you'd expect when it comes to the amount of white rice given. Of the unique offerings, my kids' favorite is probably the bubble waffles, which they give out complimentary at the end of the meal. The weird thing though is between the two visits, I learned they give the same amount -- one -- whether the dining group has 6 people or 12 people. Stingy. Price-wise, they are definitely at the top end of their category. I don't think it's close to being worth it especially given the quality of their competition, but to each his own I guess. I do like that you can make reservations here, and parking is super easy.

If you know, you know. Forget standing in a line long enough to finish 8 Mile waiting for the "real" dim sum experience-this spot is too busy quietly running circles around the competition. Little Kanupe and I started the morning absolutely hangry (one of my baby soldiers) after striking out at another place (we'll leave them unnamed to protect the innocent). One quick Yelp audible later and we landed at HK Dim Sum. Best comeback since B-Rabbit dropped the mic. The first thing you'll notice is the size of the hand cared for master pieces. Run here for a quick FIFA break, but dont think you're ordering "a little something." Every bite delivers. The chow mein was memorable, so memorable with that wok hay kiss on every noodle just right. Smoky, savory, and ridiculously addictive. Every dish hit with that same "one more bite" energy, and somehow everything showed up almost before we finished ordering. No carts, no gimmicks, no unnecessary fanfare, just legit dim sum crazy great flavor. HK Dim Sum earned a rock-solid five stars. Din Tai Fung is King in most circles, but this place is the Daenerys Dragon Queen dominator. I'm so happy to be part of this sharing of secrets. BTW get the Shumai, chowmein and har gow as starters. Explore the menu. I'm comin back soon and i'm near TJ lol.

They have a new menu and we ordered the Minced Pork & Egg Rice. This is the non-gravy/sauce version like some local restaurants are starting to do. Break the runny egg yolk and mix everything together. It was pretty good. We also ordered the pan fried turnip cake which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's better than many dim sum restaurant versions. Also got their beef rice roll again. Their rice rolls are always a hit. Don't forget to order their HK lemon iced tea on the side. It pairs well with everything especially on a hot summer day. Good air conditioning. Lots of indoor seating. Great service. Highly recommend!

I've known of Steam Fresh for a while, but saw they recently started a brunch specials menu. So I decided to come here to try their brunch. I came with family. Steam Fresh is a small restaurant but the AC is good and the staff are super friendly. The restaurant is clean. I ended up getting two breakfast specials, a noodle soup with eggs and spam with a side of zhongzi, also got congee with turnip cake. We also ordered a steamed rice with Chinese sausage and chicken. Both breakfast specials came with iced lemon tea which was awesome. The steamed rice was quite tasty. My favorite dish was probably the zhongzi which is like a Chinese tamale. It was very well seasoned and the pork was flavorful. Overall solid brunch restaurant in San Gabriel Valley.
