    BBQ Pork Fried Rice
    Wai S.

I was here yesterday and had a fantastic experience. The dining room was bright and lively. Service was good and better than what I usually expect at a Hong Kong cafe. I got the lunch special and was impressed by the quality and value. Good prices and the portion sizes I remember from my youth. I ordered the BBQ pork fried rice, and they nailed it. It had that wonderful wok hei. My only small nitpick is that it was slightly under seasoned, but overall I enjoyed it. We also ordered the baked pork chop with fried rice, and that dish really stood out. The pork chop was nicely cooked and meaty. The tomato sauce and cheese were savory. Baked pork chop is pure comfort food for me, and this version definitely delivered. Would definitely come back.

Saw a post recently about their salted egg yolk chicken wings so I had to check them out! Love salted egg yolk anything. They did not disappoint! So delish outside and the wings were so moist and tender! Loved it! Steamed rice noodles were excellent as was the beef chow fun! The wok hei was . So good I kept wanting to eat more. Loved the on choy (hollow stem veggies) cooked in a spicy fermented tofu sauce, had a little kick. The scrambled eggs with shrimp were cooked to perfection! Shrimp was not overcooked and eggs were moist and fluffy! Baked sole filet rice was huge and cheesy! So good. Everything we had was excellent! Definitely recommend this place for dinner. Sorry I forgot to take pics of menu. Too busy chatting. Service was good too. Restaurant is nice and roomy with high ceilings and nice decor. Great parking too! Plus it's free!

Haven't been here for a while. Ordered the seafood and bean curd clay pot, deep fried fish filet with spicy salt, salted egg & minced pork clay pot rice, and black pepper beef udon. The dishes were good, but the minced pork & salted egg clay pot rice wasn't as good. It lacked flavor and didn't tasted like a clay pot rice. The fish filet was very yummy and our favorite dish. There was only 1 server since there weren't that many people, but it was a nice, friendly, and quick service. Some of the items on the menu have changed, but they haven't updated it. You will need to ask the server upon ordering. It was pretty empty and quiet with only a few tables. Food and prices are still good tho so will definitely come back.

Order this. Apparently the best in town according to the moms.

Five stars!! This place deserves to be busy on a Tuesday night. The white fish with black bean sauce, amazing. The steamed salted fish patty with ginger, even I liked it...tge french dtyle strak cubes, tender.. .the portions are generous...the food is hot....everything authentic and delicious. Parking is free, underground...don't take the surface street entrance, go below. The dining room is spacious and open....our 80 and 90 year old moms love this place. Bring yours.

One of the lesser known HK cafe spot in the SGV. My favorite place for their baked items. Pricier items compared to other places but the quality makes up for it. The baked pork chop rice comes with a beautifully broiled cheese on top. Crispy and has a tasty sauce. Good ratio of sauce and rice. Standard pork chop pieces. Good service and quick with refills. The pork with preserved egg congee. Came out hot. RIce it self didn't have much flavor but the pork was flavorful along with the preserved egg which carried it. Spacious cafe with underground parking. Was quiet for a Tuesday night dinner. Would come back for the baked items and to try their other stuff.

French toast was good. Their breakfast menu provides excellent value. Their tomato baked rice however was not as good as before. Perhaps an off day or change of recipe. Coffee milk tea and lemon ice also lacked flavor on this recent visit.

I came to this restaurant looking for one thing and exactly one dish only, baked pork chop rice. I have been scouring all of san gabriel valley for the best pork chop rice comparable to what I grew up eating. The baked pork chop rice was more fried rice than sauce and pork chop. There wasn't much pork chop to begin with and wasn't the thicker kind. The fried rice at the bottom was pretty tasty but the lack of tomato sauce made it taste dry. There just wasn't a good balance of sauce to pork chop to fried rice. It felt like a 2:1:5 ratio. My must pair with a baked pork chop rice is a lemon iced tea. Their lemon iced tea was way too sweet for my liking. Even after adding more slices of lemon, the sugary-ness was too strong. It did not pair well with the baked pork chop rice. Overall, I came with high expectations after being told this place specializes in baked pork chop rice. It did not live up to the hype and I was slightly disappointed. My search continues.

I have been coming back to this restaurant many times because I like their food and prices. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We had chicken served with ginger and green onion sauce, beef chow mein (Hong Kong style), seafood with tofu in clay pot, fish fillet with vegetables and spicy salt chicken wings. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. By the way, If you like your chow mein noodles crispy, tell the wait staff you want Hong Kong style chow mein with crispy noodles. If you don't like crispy noodles tell them you don't want crispy noodles. You can order it the way you like it. At lunch time, you can order coffee, tea or half coffee half tea for an additional $1.99 (special pricing). A very good deal. You can get one free refill. The dining room and restrooms are nice and clean. Plenty of parking underneath the restaurant.

Definitely my favorite place for Hong Kong-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is delicious and affordable, and most of the time there's no wait at all. The ambiance feels like stepping into a once-fancy neighborhood restaurant, with a nostalgic, classic charm. Service is consistently fast and friendly, and parking is free and conveniently located. What more could you ask for?

My #1 place to eat is Longten Cafe!!! I love this place so much. The food is just phenomenal and I would highly recommend this place for anyone who just loves to eat and eat. The service here was hands down amazing! So kind to their customers and cooked the food to perfection! The ambiance was nice and cozy. We wanted to watch something on one of the TV's but it was broken. But that's okay. 100% highly recommend this place and that I would definitely come back here.

Food is delicious here and very good pricing. The staff is all very chill here and don't really bother you when you which I love. Drinks are good as well. Fav drink is lemon tea. Great place to have lunch or dinner with friends/family .

This might be a slightly inflated review since it was my first meal back from Boston, but Longten Cafe was really good. It has a typical Hong Kong cafe menu with a thousand dishes to choose from. The place is clean and the pricing is very affordable. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything had a nice balance of meat and vegetables. The chicken steak was cooked perfectly, and of course the black pepper sauce was delicious. I happily ate the leftovers the next day.

I like that most of their drinks can be ordered unsweetened, but they only offer Sweet'N Low instead of Stevia or Splenda. I also recently tried the kung pao chicken and didn't enjoy it. Beef Chow Fun Black Bean Sauce ($16.20): It was basically a wet chow fun rather than a dry chow fun our party was expecting. The flavor was on point, but not as good as the dry version (aka dark soy sauce). Beef Chow Fun with Dark Soy Sauce ($16.20): This was the correct dry chow fun our party was looking for. Savory and delicious noodles, but tasted slightly greasy. Baked Pork Chop ($14.20): Very heavy on the tomato sauce with scrambled egg and cheese. The flavor profile was not bad at all. It had a solid portion and large enough to split into two smaller meals. *** A-tier or 4-star for the food especially Indo Fried Rice and Beef Chow Fun with Dark Soy Sauce (aka dry beef chow fun), but I had to bump down to 3-star due to the minor cigarette smell.
