Decided to have lunch here the other day since the last time I went I was happy with my meal. This time I had a chicken sandwich and fries. Everything came out pretty quickly, hot, and tasty. Nice spacious restaurant with a casual and relaxing feel. My waitress was so friendly, attentive, and engaging. I really felt seen :0) In the area? Check Them Out!

Okay.. I haven't been back in years, so was pretty excited to see if steaks are cooked and prepared exactly how I remembered them to be! First I want to mention the server was so attentive and very pleasant. And also free bread and butter. Most restaurants don't even offer this! So no complaints with that! ! The bread was perfectly tasty and warm with butter. Moving on I ordered the steak combo "Ribeye Med-Rare with side of Fire Grilled Corn with up charge for Ceasar Salad" Ooh my...the Ribeye was perfect to my liking very tender and juicy. The grilled corn with parmesan crust was good, but it didn't excite my pallet. I should have just ordered it plain with melted butter. As for the Ceasar Salad it was pretty good. All in all ...I was pretty happy with my order it was all pretty yummy! And they do know how to cook the steaks! Will definitely come back when I get the chance.

It is a bit of wait, so we chose to sit at the bar. Bartender was kind and great service. The steak was cooked perfectly as ordered and tender.

Flo medium well but super tough! Not up to par

Today the food nor the service was all that great I had the 9oz Flo that was very tough and not the quality or standard I usually get at Longhorn...I'm a regular at this point. My husband's Flo was tender like a filet mignon is suppose to be and a sure 9oz. Not once did myself or my sister get a refill on our drinks. Although the manager was told about the steaks not being to par he or she never came around to the table to ensure guest satisfaction was achieved...it wasn't. I will say my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal but it was a party of 5 people. Glad the birthday guys meal was par. For it to be New Year's Day it wasn't super busy. The bathrooms were clean, but this visit was definitely not one of my best hence the 3 stars d ar below a 5 and only giving 3 since the bday boy who requested Longhorns enjoyed his meal.

Maybe more of a 3.5 star vs 3, but definitely not a 4. The wait was long, but we were able to wait in the car so that was nice. Once we were seated we were able to order & food came out in a timely manner for how packed they were! We each got a double margarita & we split the shrimp app. It was pretty salty and flavorless, definitely wouldn't get again. The bread that comes to the table is also very plain, other steakhouses have better options. I upgraded my salad to the strawberry pecan and it was so worth it! For our entrees we both ordered the 7oz sirloin & upgraded to deluxe side. The sides were great & the steaks were cooked really well. However, the next day I looked at my receipt and saw we were charged for the 9oz steaks. I'm assuming they just upgraded that because we got upgraded sides & a salad? I didn't pay that close attention at the restaurant because after the long wait to be sat, we were just ready to come home! We had a gift card, it was nice to try, but I don't think we will come back.

Really was looking forward to eating here since it's been a while but that was a mistake. Me and my girl entered the restaurant, they didn't have silverware so there offered us plastic utensils. Then we had to continue to ask for silverware, then finally received some the bread was cold. We both ordered salmon with Brussel sprouts I ordered a salad and she had mac and cheese. My salad came out with no dressing. Every time I asked for something I received an attitude. The water I ordered looked like lemon that's how dirty it was. The food was good but the waitress didn't bother to check on us but one time, she hurried us to pay and get out of there. The manager checked on other tables but not ours. They wonder why their rating is low and you would think they would fix things but maybe they don't care enough.

We came on a Sunday evening. The parking lot is very small so it always looks busy however once you reach inside it's not a huge crowd. We were told it would be a 25 min wait so we sat at the bar while waiting and were seated by the promised time.. the restaurant is decorated in a longhorn/texas theme. Employees were awesome but service was very slow. Drinks were weak. We were patient and didn't ask for a manager however After waiting a long period of time for our food the waitress acknowledged our wait and told us that the manager would be out to our table however he never showed up.. shortly after that our food came out and everything tasted great.

The ambience at this Longhorn far exceeded my expectations. It is upscale /casual with tasteful Western decor, comfortable seating and high ceilings. The menu is impressive with a nice variety of streaks, chops, and seafood at mid-range reasonable cost. Service was friendly and attentive. The mango margarita was delicious and served in a shaker cup with an iced and salted martini glass. I feel that the steaks at Texas Roadhouse are a little better in quality but Longhorn offers a wider variety of top-quality side which more than make up for the slight varience in the steak. I loved the grilled corn on the cob, loaded baked potato, and sauteed asparagus! I will be a regular customer.

Time your visit well, and you'll be rewarded with a sunset that is nothing short of spectacular--an ideal backdrop for an already memorable dining experience. The restaurant strikes a rare balance: refined without being pretentious. The atmosphere leans toward fine dining, yet the dress code is refreshingly unforced. Jackets and ties coexist comfortably with shorts and flip-flops--a subtle nod to Chesapeake's "come as you are" sensibility. Whether you arrive by boat or by car, the experience begins the moment you step inside. We started with the ahi carpaccio and a classic Caesar salad--both fresh, well-composed, and thoughtfully prepared. For entrées, my wife chose the crab-stuffed shrimp, finished with a lemon-herb beurre blanc and accompanied by sautéed vegetables. It was an excellent dish--rich, balanced, and, notably, not shared. I opted for the 13-ounce New York strip with a garlic and herb demi-glace. Cooked to a precise medium-rare, the steak was properly seasoned and executed with confidence. In a moment of generosity, I offered a few bites across the table--well received, though her loyalty remained with her own selection. From the waterfront setting to the attentive service and well-crafted cuisine, Amber Lantern delivers a dining experience that feels both special and approachable. It's a place worth seeking out--and returning to.

It was very bland and the drinks were very bad as well The bartender did not know what she was doing. I had to return the drink twice. It was just a lemon drop pretty easy to make. I ended up exchanging it for a wine. My husband had a old-fashioned. It was very watered down and sweet. It's a shame it's a beautiful restaurant, but it's literally been a run by kids right now. They need a better management team in there to overlook everything. Everything got late to our table. It wasn't our waitress fault she was so apologetic. I really want more for this place. It's so pretty and it has a great view. I would recommend new management or manager and to upgrade the menu and train the bartenders . I feel bad leaving this review, but I just wish this restaurant the best !

Our server Whitney was great. We wanted to order the whipped bone marrow appetizer but it was sold out and they were going to rotate it off of the next seasonal menu. So we ordered the Crab Dip, whic came ith some toasted crostini. It had an amble amout of crabmeat with a hint of dill and a little heat. We got some rosemary dinner rolls with whipped butter to start. They were nice and fluffy and light. The Brussel sprouts were sweet and crunchy with the bacon onion jam, not bitter at all. I enjoy the lamb chops, which were not at all gamey and seasoned just right. The collard greens paired nicely (not to vinegary), with the smoked gouda grits. My husband ordered the KC Strip per Whitney's recommendation. He enjoyed the smoked flavor complemented by the garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. He was afraid it was going to be too lean but the marbling was great. For dessert we ordered the bacon brownie chocolate chip cookies. There were 2 with chocolate fudge drizzle served with Gelato. The cookies were warm, salty and decadent sweet. We also received complementary champagne to toast our anniversary. It was a great night.

So booking a reservation for mother's day brunch was a no brainer for me and I was super excited. Upon arrival I was seated immediately. The service Kyle came over almost immediately and explained the mimosas. We received water and our drinks and then it was all downhill from there. We proceeded to sit and wait for 40 very long minutes for our food. This was supposed to be an "all you can eat" toppas type of situation. It made me wonder was this done by design to control the amount of food that was being served??? Idk? I will say that as I looked around this was happening to everyone not just my table. As previously mentioned I've been to this restaurant several times because the food is Always delicious and the service was 5 stars. The food was not good this time. We tried steak and eggs, Deviled eggs, French toast, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, crab cake with Hollandaise sauce and yogurt ,with berries and granola. The server didn't ask what temperature we wanted our steak. My steak was medium well and the other steak was rare. We weren't told it was over easy eggs. 1 of us would have preferred scrambled. The only thing I loved was the shrimp and grits and the yogurt and berries. I will also add that $50 was taken off the bill and they comped my drinks. This was greatly appreciated. Had this gesture been accompanied with a pleasant attitude it would have been greatly appreciated.

Just for your awareness, there's a dresscode here, and rightly so, it's definitely an upscale restaurant. We sat at a hi-top in the bar area, which is a nice, cellar-looking area in the lower level of the restaurant. Our server was excellent! She explained that she's one of the sommeliers there and provided some pretty good feedback on their wine selection. Their menu is fairly typical of upper-end, prime steakhouses. There were many appetizing items to choose from, I had a tough time deciding. I was leaning towards their fried shrimp entrée, especially after seeing other people's pictures of it on social media. I would never normally get this, but their shrimp pics looked amazing. I started with their Greek salad - This was a HUGE salad, big enough for an entrée, especially if you add a protein to it. It was fabulous! Lots of fresh veggies in it, the dressing was excellent, and the flavors were so very good! This is definitely worthy of splitting, which I'll do next time I return. Next up was my entrée and I chose their smaller filet with an add-on of fried shrimp. I really wanted to try this shrimp and this was a way that I could try their beef and the shrimp and this was an absolutely AMAZING entrée selection!! The shrimp were HUGE! They were perfectly and beautifully battered and fried and looked stunning! The steak was spot-on! I ordered medium rare plus and if I had to guess from looking at it, it was probably 134-135 degrees! The flavor was great too! Their steak is definitely worthy of eating without any add-on or sauce. For sides we tried their Mashed Potatoes and their Haricot Verts and both were outstanding! The nice thing about this place is they actually list half portions of sides in their menu! Many places offer it, but you have to ask and if it's just two people dining, half portions are the perfect size. Save room for dessert, they offer many options! In my case, I was so full, I simply opted for a scoop of their blood orange sorbet and it was the best finish for a great dinner. Definitely will return and would recommend Byrd & Baldwin Bros for a nice evening and great dinner experience!

This place was PACKED! It was very loud inside and you practically had to scream to be heard. Lots of stereotypically texan-styled decor and music. Service wasn't bad. My table was a little wobbly and squeaky. The food was actually really good. The ribs were pretty tender and easy to eat. The steak was cooked as I requested and was good as well. I always heard about the famous "TXRH Rolls!" and was curious to see if they lived up to the hype and I have to admit... they did! Soft and sweet, with a maple butter spread if you want it. Drink sizes are decent as I only had one refill and considering the amount of meat, potatoes, and bread I had to eat?, It was pretty satisfactory. It may not have seemed like it at first, but it was really quite filling as by the time I had finished, my usually over-sized appetite was satiated as I was actually too full for dessert.. a scenario no one would believe. Prices were pretty high, but not too different from other similar chains. And let's be honest: EVERYTHING these days is expensive! Sad but true. My favorite things were the rolls (they actually are that good!), the onions that smothered my steak (just the way I like them and there were plenty to enjoy!) and.. the Tropical Breeze Mocktail! I love a good blue drink and being a teetotaler, it was much appreciated to see non-alcoholic options for the fun and colorful beverages! In my opinion, it tasted like a beautiful air freshener and I loved every drop of it! (I even ate the fruit in the glass!) Final thoughts: After 9pm is the time to go if you want to avoid large crowds and they could get comfier booths, just saying. I would return if I'm feeling like some good ol' fashioned faux-texas fare is in order!
