The service is on point the drinks are on point I love ordering the salmon blackened with a sweet potato and broccoli oh my gosh so divine all the time! We also do the I think it's the the shrimp or the chicken that comes on a long plate I'm not sure but it's good! We usually dine at the bar but different times we have dined in the main restaurant area but each time it's always a good time highly recommend you check out this place. Do you actually want a Parmesan crust on everything or do you fall of the TikTok trends every time? I think we both know and it's okay. I fall for it too. A friend and I went for lunch. Our server was amazing! Between trying her go-to order and her help when our drinks were not exactly to our liking, she made the experience so great. The only downsides were the appetizers coming out, after our entrees. The recommendation given of a Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich, tossed in buffalo sauce was great. She also recommended a Parmesan crust. I found that I was not the biggest fan of the crust, but it was great otherwise. Would order again! The wings were great, well seasoned and crispy. The shrimp were nothing to write home about. They were just okay. The taste was not really memorable, so I probably wouldn't again. Overall, the experience wasn't bad. It was our friend's birthday last night so we made plans to eat at Longhorn around 6pm, a party of 15. Our server SiRoni, I believe she goes by Roni, was AMAZING!!! She was attentive to the table, had drink refills coming and going and took the best care of us. She didn't miss a beat. Ordered a medium-rare ribeye and got two completely wrong steaks--first well done, then rare. Mistakes happen, but the manager, Milan, made it worse. He was rude, dismissive, and refused to handle the situation properly until another manager had to step in. Shoutout to the server and Melody for actually being professional, but the fact that they had to clean up after Milan says everything. First I want to mention the server was so attentive and very pleasant. And also free bread and butter. Most restaurants don't even offer this! So no complaints with that! ! Moving on I ordered the steak combo "Ribeye Med-Rare with side of Fire Grilled Corn with up charge for Ceasar Salad" Ooh my...the Ribeye was perfect to my liking very tender and juicy. Today the food nor the service was all that great I had the 9oz Flo that was very tough and not the quality or standard I usually get at Longhorn...I'm a regular at this point. My husband's Flo was tender like a filet mignon is suppose to be and a sure 9oz. Not once did myself or my sister get a refill on our drinks. Although the manager was told about the steaks not being to par he or she never came around to the table to ensure guest satisfaction was achieved...it wasn't. I will say my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal but it was a party of 5 people. Glad the birthday guys meal was par. For it to be New Year's Day it wasn't super busy. The bathrooms were clean, but this visit was definitely not one of my best hence the 3 stars d ar below a 5 and only giving 3 since the bday boy who requested Longhorns enjoyed his meal. read more

Sunday March 15. 2026. The wait to be seated was 1 1/2 hours. Per staff no wait staff. 2. No silverware available. Per staff The night shift did not wash silverware or dishes 3. Bread and butter was served when we were seated but no silverware. Hot tea was served in a to go cup. Plastic ware was provided as utensils .how do u come to steak house wit no silverware. And no plates for the bread. Just received silverware after waiting 30mins. Lamb chops arrived..ordered well done.. they come with blood dripping. The waitress was very apologetic and ordered the lamb chops again. When the plate arrived, the lamb chops were cooked correctly and tasted good. Shout out to my waitress, Sky. Once we were seated we were able to order & food came out in a timely manner for how packed they were! We each got a double margarita & we split the shrimp app. It was pretty salty and flavorless, definitely wouldn't get again. The bread that comes to the table is also very plain, other steakhouses have better options. I upgraded my salad to the strawberry pecan and it was so worth it! For our entrees we both ordered the 7oz sirloin & upgraded to deluxe side. The sides were great & the steaks were cooked really well. Ordered an 8oz Renegade Sirloin w/ loaded baked potato and side salad. The "8oz" sirloin came out with mushrooms on it. The waitress took it back and all they did was get rid of the mushrooms and then it came back with a strange "finishing sauce" on it that wasn't there before. I was skeptical to eat it. So just at the salad that came out after and the half cooked baked potato. Waitstaff was fine and friendly, will not be back if I want a steak. Oh and still got charged for it. Then we had to continue to ask for silverware, then finally received some the bread was cold. We both ordered salmon with Brussel sprouts I ordered a salad and she had mac and cheese. My salad came out with no dressing. Every time I asked for something I received an attitude. The water I ordered looked like lemon that's how dirty it was. This was our first time dining here or at a Longhorns Steakhouse, in general. Seating: We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday so there were others dining but it was not terribly busy and we were seated immediately. Service: Our waitress, Julee (who is also the bartender) was absolutely amazing. Excellent customer service, passionate about working there, very informative and was straightforward when asked about different dishes. She provided this superior level of customer service to every table that I happened to observe. Drinks: I ordered the Patrón Dragon Fruit Margarita with sugared rim, on the rocks. I LOVED that it came in a very well-thought out shaker that you had the option to purchase for $12.99, I believe. This shaker had enough in it to refill the beautiful hefty martini-looking glass a couple of times, plus a little for topping off here and there. The drink was very lightly sweetened, which I am a fan of. I mentioned to Julee that I didn't like sweet drinks and she fully understood the assignment and crafted mine beautifully! The kiddos had chocolate milk and spouse had a Coca Cola. They enjoyed their drinks as well! Appetizers: We had the White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms and the Parmesan Crusted Spinach Dip with flatbread crisps. Both appetizers arrived quickly and still bubbling hot and delicious! I feel the bread loaf is also a sort of appetizer so I'll say the first loaf was gone (hungry boys after martial arts class took care of it) before I had a chance to even notice and Julee was more than happy to bring a second loaf. The bread was very tasty, and helped sop up the rest of the melty cheese from the mushrooms. YUM! Spouse and I ordered the French Onion Soup and it was hot, bubbly, and rich. Very tasty! Entrees: Spouse ordered the Parmesan Crusted 12 oz. Ribeye cooked blue rare, steakhouse Mac n Cheese, and a Caesar salad. He enjoyed their Parmesan crust (done "exceptionally well" in his words) and he felt the ribeye was cooked perfectly to his liking. The Mac n cheese and salad were good, as well. I ordered the Salmon and Redrock Shrimp which comes automatically with a rice pilaf for a side. I choose the steamed asparagus and a baked sweet potato as my other two sides. There seemed to be some miscommunication over my entree, which was honestly okay with me since I was already full from the appetizers and soup. I had my entree changed to "to-go" and just took it home with me, which was wonderful when I was hungry later and everything was very delicious. Julee ensured that it was boxed up in a way that nothing would be mushy or end up with the food all mixed together. My salmon and shrimp were very delicious. I enjoyed their drinks Parmesan rice pilaf and asparagus, though it could have been a little less salty for me, but I have peculiar tastes. One older kiddo had a 6 oz steak fillet, cooked blue rare, French fries and a Caesar salad. I tried his steak and it was very tender and seasoned very well. Another kiddo had the chicken strips and fries and enjoyed those. Dessert: We ordered cheesecakes with all the toppings (praline pecans, whipped cream, strawberries in syrup, and what seemed like an in-house made caramel sauce which was very delicious). The cheesecakes were as one would expect. Tasty, firm, very cheesecakey. Our experience was very positive, the food was delicious and Julee was fantastic. We were told it would be a 25 min wait so we sat at the bar while waiting and were seated by the promised time.. the restaurant is decorated in a longhorn/texas theme. My date ordered the sirloin (cooked medium) and lobster tail. His steak was overcooked and cold, and his lobster was hard and cold. What a great dining experience from the greetings in the lobby to our wonderful waitress, Grace. Her recommendations were in point. All the food was so tasty. The spinach dip with pita chips was phenomenal. The steaks were seasoned perfectly and still juicy. All the sides were done right. We had the asparagus, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese, sweet potato, and broccoli. The salmon wasn't dry and the shrimps were still bouncy and flavorful. The ambience at this Longhorn far exceeded my expectations. It is upscale /casual with tasteful Western decor, comfortable seating and high ceilings. The menu is impressive with a nice variety of streaks, chops, and seafood at mid-range reasonable cost. Service was friendly and attentive. The mango margarita was delicious and served in a shaker cup with an iced and salted martini glass. I feel that the steaks at Texas Roadhouse are a little better in quality but Longhorn offers a wider variety of top-quality side which more than make up for the slight varience in the steak. I loved the grilled corn on the cob, loaded baked potato, and sauteed asparagus! I will be a regular customer. read more

Went here recently during an off-time and really didn't have much of a line. Maybe like a 10 minute wait. No big deal. The servers and staff were super friendly to me and my friend. They are finally opening up and I am so happy! The building was done very nice inside and out! I loved the ceiling and the floor layout. It has more of an upscale vibe than other Longhorns In my opinion. The food we had the spinach dip with fried pita chips and the dip was epic! It came with a crusty cheese layer on top. So delicious. The food was all cooked perfect! We had the ny strip wonderful flavor, the filet and Parmesan chicken. But the star of the show was the mashed potatoes! The best I've ever had and the plating was great. The entire team was working hard to please and serve, they all seemed to love being there. They lied to us because we waited 2 hours to get seated. This restaurant doesn't cater to large parties so don't come here if you have a party larger than 8. The manager also has a bad attitude and said that he's been working since 6am. Not sure why that matters when all of us are working people and just want to enjoy a meal. And both were ridiculously chewy for sirloin. Not fatty so much as it almost felt microwaved or something. Shrimp was way overcooked. Waiter forgot things we asked for more than once. We also ordered 8oz portions and received 6oz. They also charge an additional $2.99 for "premium" sides, which wasn't clear until we got the bill and the only low-carb option in "regular sides" is green beans. The whole experience wasn't good for a place that claims to be a steakhouse. It was mediocre at best and overpriced. To feed my wife, 9-year-old daughter and I was over $70 not including tip. Save your money and your sanity and go to Texas Roadhouse instead. read more

The food is awful but the service was fine. I didn't know there were two different ribeyes and accidentally ordered the smaller one. It came out gray and looking like it had been boiled. There was so. Much. Fat. The mashed potatoes were nondescript. The side salad was pretty good though. My wife got the ribs and they were dry and burnt. My kid got the cheeseburger which came out medium. The server didn't ask how we wanted it and we didn't think to specify. We asked for the burger to be cooked a little more, and they brought him a new one. Not necessarily anybody's fault, just disappointing. It didn't even taste good - it was dry. The we came in they said it would be a 15-20 wait but we were seated in 8 that's a pretty good start, from there was a service nightmare, the Shrimp and Lobster Chowder but what I got was a conglomerate of watery carrots, scallions baby shrimp peppers in a tasteless opaque broth. Our server forgot my spicy chicken bites as well as forgetting to omit onions on my burger! Only took 10 minutes to bring back ketchup but that might have been because my wife specifically ordered the bone in Ribeye and they just brought a plain ribeye so we had to wait for the second steak to arrive so I guess the ketchup I needed for my burger was waiting for the steak to come to the table Our server seemed as if this all was an inconvenience! Now understand being a newly opened establishment but service is key! Now Ray the manager shuffled over to resolved the issues but as you know of you don't start off right it won't end up right..... Overall having eaten at a Longhorn in Boston which had superb everything that was a bar already set in our minds. I really enjoy LongHorn Steakhouse. My husband and I go there once in awhile. We're not big restaurant eaters but this is one of our favorites. I *LOVE* the Parmesan Crusted Chicken!!!! They also have great burgers and fries, and my husband enjoys the steaks. I do think they could use a deep cleaning, but it hasn't stopped us from enjoying a meal there now and then. read more

Longhorns recently opened in Chesapeake Square and you can definitely tell! It was busy but luckily with the fast service you would never know. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding the experience my family and I had at your Portsmouth Boulevard location on January 4, 2025. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was informed of a one-hour wait for a table of five. While this was longer than anticipated, I accepted the wait because of the consistent quality of service and food I have experienced at other Longhorn locations along the East Coast. However, the actual wait time extended to approximately an hour and fifteen minutes due to other large parties of 20 and 25 being seated ahead of us. Once seated, our server approached us without introducing herself or offering a friendly greeting. She asked for our drink orders even though only part of our party was seated, as my sisters and nephew were just a few feet away. I suggested that she wait for them, but her audible sigh of frustration left a poor impression. After taking the full drink order, she returned with drinks for everyone except me. We also did not receive the customary complimentary bread and butter, which has always been a standard part of the Longhorn dining experience in my past visits. The server returned to our table after an additional 15 minutes with a noticeably poor attitude, which made my wife and me hesitant to proceed with our orders. However, given our previous positive experiences with Longhorn, we decided to move forward. The issues escalated when our food arrived. My wife's meal--a double-steamed broccoli, Outlaw Ribeye, and lobster tail--was far below the standard we've come to expect. The broccoli was undercooked, and the lobster tail was visibly underprepared. The rest of our party received their meals, but my own order was incomplete. When it did arrive, the steak was excessively drenched in seasoning sauce and butter to the point where it was dripping off the plate, the lobster tail was undercooked, and the fries I ordered never arrived. This experience was particularly upsetting as we were dining in honor of my recently deceased mother's birthday. We attempted to salvage the evening, but the poor food quality and subpar service made it difficult to enjoy our meal. When we brought these issues to the attention of the manager on duty, his response was dismissive. He insisted that the food was prepared according to standard procedures, which was both offensive and inaccurate based on my extensive experience dining at other Longhorn locations. My wife tried to reason with him, but his unhelpful demeanor only added to our frustration. Instead of fully refunding the cost of our meals, we were charged for items we did not consume. Over the years, I have spent more than $800 at Longhorn locations in Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, and elsewhere because of the high-quality food and customer service I have come to expect from your brand. Unfortunately, this was the worst dining experience I have ever had at a Longhorn restaurant. I strongly urge you to address the issues at the Portsmouth Boulevard location, particularly regarding staff training and attitude. Until I see significant improvements, I will not return to this location. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Amber was my server and she was great the only problem with her was she didn't give me a napkin my whole dinner experience and as a former server I didn't appreciate that. The food was fresh and you can tell it was made with passion. I'm not a fan of the bread that much but it was decent I had two slices actually lol. Today is March 4, 2024, which is the grand opening day for this new restaurant. I arrived at exactly 8:35PM and got up and left my unserviced table at 8:55 PM when not a single employee came to my table. I had tried to wave down the two employees I saw in my sections, but to no avail. The restaurant was approximately less than half occupied/full while I was there, so there really wasn't an excuse for the lack of service and scarcity of employees. It wasn't busy at all compared to the Princess Anne Boulevard location in VB. Initially, I was beyond excited when I learned that a LongHorn Steakhouse was finally coming to Chesapeake, but I was immediately let down and disappointed after I made it a point to show up on opening day .
