I have not been to this winery in person, but I have recently ordered a case of only the Zinfandel. I only really ordered from here because I had a gift certificate, and was pretty disappointed in the quality of the Zin. I feel like I am generally not a bad judge of red wines, and I do feel like I spent the last few weeks regretting not buying my usual case of Costco $7 to $11 bottles of Zin. Customer service was a little odd too, I had to contact them to let them know I had purchased the case from them, offer my card for them to pay shipping, and then ask about follow up to know when I'd see my order. I felt like I was walking them through the process - not the other way around. read more

Service started out great then our server moved to the only other group there on a Friday afternoon and our new server wasn't great. Then she had a very difficult time splitting our bill. Lovely place to spend an afternoon in the sunshine drinking great wine! We found Longevity on Groupon, but they actually have great daily deals - tastings of 7 wines starting at $10 with reserve for an additional fee ($5 I think). I really enjoyed the wine itself, starting with a Pinot Grigio and then moving on to reds, most of which were grown in Livermore valley! The service was great with multiple easily accessible staff members with lots of information and recommendations, though they could get a bit pushy about the order of the wines. They had my friend try some of the lighter reds though she knew she loves the Cabernets. I appreciated the variety of reds but it's good to know that they didn't have the sparkling wine and there were only 3 white options overall. The front porch was great on a beautiful sunny day, but does face onto the main road which is a bit unfortunate and can be a little noisy. There was a barbecue tent out front that lots of people enjoyed. The back room was closed for an event so we didn't really see much of the tasting room and had to use the restroom in the adjoining winery. Overall great wines and people though the setting is more strip mall and less like the open vineyards that can be found just a little further out of Livermore. read more

The tasting rooms are in what looks like a business district strip mall, not too far from Downtown Livermore. :::::DECOR/TASTING ROOM::::: Once you walk into Longevity Wines you are transported from the streets of Livermore into a beautiful space for wine tasting and friend making. The front of the tasting room has a small tasting bar and many knick knacks for sale. Also, at any given time you will see the amazing Preston running around. Loved this place. We used a Groupon for their tasting and loved it. Employees were incredibly friendly and they have free popcorn to eat while you're tasting! There was a bbq food tent outside and Longevity allows you to bring in the food to eat in their amazing back room. It feels like you're outside enjoying a nice glass of wine. We visited on Father's Day and walked into a live Jazz duo show. Roland was our server and did a great job walking us through the current wine offerings. The vibe was cool and very relaxing. This past weekend got a chance to visit my favorite winery with my sister and daughter. It was such a beautiful day for sipping on wine and we were able to enjoy it outside. This place is so wonderful, with great customer service. You can just tell it's a business of love by the owners. You notice walking through the doors that this is what they were destined to do. Come relax and try their wines. All of my friends I was with said it was really good. Say hi or pet their dog who is usually on premise. ** I have no idea what those other bad reviews are talking about because this is one of best wineries we visited all day. To be honest I don't drink, I am the designated driver so I am all about the ambiance and feel of the wineries and tasting rooms. We came here yesterday close to 5pm and the owner was rude, it was obvious they don't like people coming close to closing time, hence we may have bought some wine but no thanks. The tasting was $5 which is pretty common in Livermore and she said if we bought wine it would be waived. My friend bought wine but she still charged $5 for my tasting, rude! This would never happen in Napa, apparently they needed the $5. She also poured a wine my friend said she didn't like and expected her to drink it. Just skip this place, go to Wente where everyone is friendly and they also aren't in a strip mall. read more

Wine tasting room is very small. Fortunately this Sunday we were able to stand at the bar area but anymore than 6 people not sure what they do. Women providing tasting was pleasant but in the beginning was a bit stiff & business like. She was nice enough to let us sample more than the normal 5 tastes included for the $5 tasting fee. This fee was waived or collected after the tasting depending if you purchase wine. After the tasting she was anxious to get an order. This tasting room is not located at the actual vineyard and more in area of light industrial so you do not get the feel of the Livermore AVA. Wines were very good and especially enjoyed the Lodi Zin. We aren't big wine people, but wanted to explore some, so we went with the tasting menu. I came here with several friends and redeemed a groupon. We did not expect as warm a welcome as we received. The atmosphere was cool, relaxed, and comfortable. It was like walking into a family members home who dotes delicious wine and snacks on you and tells you great stories about the company and the wines. The woman who served us was incredibly knowledgeable and very friendly. I am honestly disappointed that I don't live in the area, or I would certainly frequent this place! I was told they won't honor that deal but instead I could pay them for a plastic glass and they will give me ONE glass of wine each. This place is awesome! My family enjoyed a lot our first-time wine tasting in Livermore. The wine (Barbera) is great, the service is friendly and the outdoor seating is very cozy and shaded. We made the reservation at 4. Though, we were 15 mins late, we felt very welcoming there. They allow you to bring outside food to pair with wines. We ended of buying a bottle of the 2015 Barbera wine home. We sure will be back some time soon! read more

This was our first time here. The location isn't the best because it's right on Vasco Road. But the tasty wines and service made up for it. I prefer red wines but the Pink Pinot Grigio was outstanding. My favorite was the Mourvedre and we brought a bottle of that home with us. My hubby really liked the deb-ru-vee so that will be our next purchase when we make room on the rack. The service was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They really made us feel like special guests. You can tell that they really like their jobs. I like how they spoke so highly of the owner. That is a rare sign of respect. Your dog might be smaller (not by much) and was unleashed but it came after my dog. Then my dog barked at it while on a leash and not moving a foot. You (Phil nor your wife) weren't there to state your claims. You took your time by asking us to leave, maybe because we weren't pretty enough? maybe because we didn't speak english? right from the start we got a weird feeling from Longevity, we got a nice warm welcome from the BBQ outside (which was good). As for stating that the review was solely because of the dog issue - no, not at all. The wine was mediocre at best: don't understand the standards of other reviews here. The service was difficult to say the least: Asked to save us trips to the fill-up by pouring two testing portions on one trip and you (your wife probably) didn't want to. We had to explain for 10 minutes what we want and received eye rolled. We are disappointed by this behavior and this is troublesome that we had to encounter this at 2019. I don't wish to harm your business but I truly think that you should look yourself at the mirror and think why did you do what you did. A great place for group tastings! One of the best group tasting experiences we have ever had! They were on top of the service and the ambiance was the best I have ever experienced at a winery during a tasting. The barn inside the winery is very cool. 3.5 stars My favorites here were the Viognier, Dijon clones Chardonnay and the merlot. The first couple of wines seemed a little heavy on the sulfites, but I don't mind that. I rather aerate the excess from my glass than to swallow another oxidized Livermore wine. First visit here and I see a lot of potential. Cellar Door 2012 Pinot blanc. Spritzy, primary nose, heavy sulfide. Citrus:lemon, tropical:green mango pineapple. Thick juicy, slight bitter finish 2012 Lodi Viognier. Honey, flowers: orange blossoms, acacia, citrus: lemon, sweet corn tamales, tropical pinnaples, stone fruits: apricots, thick and with a slight bitter finish. Very Good 2011 chard. Citrus: lemon, popcorn butter, thick and with a long finish. Not much flavors. Wente clone. 2012 chard. ripe pears, apples, fresh flowers, citrus: lemon. Good acidity, some butter, spicy finish. Dijon clones 2012 rose. Berries, tea, warm spice, good acidity, nice fruity finish. 2010 Lodi zin. Very ripe red fruits: cherries, raspberries, cassis, oaky nose, watermelon, bubblegum, high acidity, oaky finish 2010 merlot. Meaty nances, baked red apples and black fruits: plums, good acidity and concentration. Great aromatics here Tempranillo. Black fruits, black tea, great concentration, funky nose. Awkward mid palate. 2010 cab Lodi. Baked red fruits. Sour cherries, Raspberries, red apples, warm spice, cayenne pepper, high acidity, oaky finish. Not typical cab 2009 philosophy. Oaky, black red fruits, black berries, black tea, earthy, mushrooms, good concentration, tight oaky finish. 2010 zin port. This was billed to us as an "up and coming black winery" so we were excited to go... From the moment we hit the door we were disappointed. Debra's unfriendliness was startling, especially in comparison to the other ladies that were there. We stood in a corner, weren't given any information about the wines we were being poured or the winery itself...no tour of the tasting room, we were barely welcomed inside...the owner walked by without any interest or cordiality. Phil and Debra are the best wine hosts in the valley! I just held a networking event in their location and it was superb! Debra and I worked out all details via email and when I walked in the place was perfect! She put together a fantastic wine tasting menu for my group and had seating for everyone. I sent her my banquet order so she knew ahead of time what was being delivered and she had a table ready to go for all of the food. It was PERFECT!! Most of the guests had never been to Longevity and I kept being told how much they appreciated the attention to detail, the wonderful wines, and how they were planing to come back with their significant others. Really enjoyed this place. The atmosphere was warm welcoming and they had very knowledgeable someliers. I've been to many wineries but during my tasting at Longevity wines, I learned so much about wine processes, flavors, and blends. Tim Parsons, the general manager, was enormously knowledgeable and very friendly. My partner and I especially enjoyed the bbq on the front patio after our tasting and being able to sit and relax and soak up the sun! This is a great place!!! The first time I went here, it was due to a long day of work and following the signs. Unlike most (if not all Livermore wineries) they are located in a business plaza, so they are rather sneaky about their location. Also, I was fortunate to drop by around an event, so they had a bunch of snacks to try. Debra and Phil were very nice and friendly and even showed me around their tasting room/warehouse where they make their wine at. They do not charge a tasting fee, tend to have something to snack on, and make you feel very welcomed. Very intimate mom and pop (literally) wine place. Very very friendly, down to earth, and they love their wines. This is a labor of their passion for wines. The owners have full time jobs and do this on the side/weekend. They let you taste all their wines, and have the best snacks of all the wineries we went to! Brownies, and of course the crackers and cheese. They let you go to the back and take a look at how they put their wines in barrows. Phil spoke about how they use to pick their own wines and how the sun glistens off the grapes is so romantic but after 30min it's just work! That's just hilarious. We didn't get this much personality at the other larger wineries. They have the best Pinot Sarah! They're prices are a little bit more than the 2nd place we went to (Fenestra) but they don't charge for tasting and it's a very quaint and intimate winery in a business park!! This is a rare gem ! H! We stopped by this weekend to see the new tasting room on Vasco Road .Very nice and 'I've got to say the Syrah is yummy! I rec emend that you go and check them out! And remember explore and try all the wineries, they all have something good to enjoy and if they don't well gosh darn, say something! There is only one winery that doesn't deserve to be a part of livermore wine region, and I'm not going to say, you find out for yourself. The ones I enjoy are: Longevity Red Feather Ocossio John Christopher's Thomas Coyne Bent Creek now those are my fav's what are yours? And gosh don't get all upset cause there busy ,that is a good thing Kick back and have fun! Also I love going to the small lot wineries, they rock! You learn more and experience more, down to earth wine makers. Not into the fofo bling bling wineries, I like supporingt the small businesses. , I love that the wineries are in my back yard and I can go and relax, talk to the winemakers, yes really the real winemakers. Awesome wines. The fiancé and I came here after some wedding band shopping in Pleasanton. First had gone to Nottingham (meh), then were planning on going to Tamas. We figured since we were short on time, might as well just see what Longevity was all about. We'll let me tell you, we were so happy we went into Longevity! We loved just about all of the wines we tasted, so much that we ended up joining their wine club. The service was very personable. Wines are very reasonably priced. And how can you not love their little Havanese doggie, Preston (who has a wine named after him). A definite gem. Can't wait to lick up our first wine club shipment. read more

Don't let the off-the-beaten-path location deter you from visiting Longevity. It is a small and inviting tasting room (and tasting room only), with a friendly staff and little dog. The tasting menu offers about a half dozen wines of both the red and white variety, as well as one very non-traditional rose. I felt that the whites were the room's strong suite, and picked up the pinot grigio. I'm not generally big on whites (and really not big on griogio), but I was sold. My family and I checked out Longevity the day after the Wine Harvest Festival and we were so happy we did. This winery is great! I really enjoyed the wines but most of all I loved Press Ton. He greeted us as we walked in and then snuggled up on his comfy bed. Debra was wonderful and very friendly. The set up of the winery inst your typical winery. You walk in to more of a industrial feel but right as you walk in you are taken into a beautiful tasting room. I could of sat there all day long.
