2 chicken strips and a grip of hushpuppies. Really good today! Fresh and hot...bomb!
    Tim S.

Hadn't been to LJS in quite awhile, so I stopped by due to seeing an advertisement for the $6.00 Chicken Basket. That is what I got. 2 pieces of chicken strips and a side (went with extra hushpuppies). How was it? Bomb, actually! The chicken strips were fresh out of the fryer and piping hot. They had a great crunch and the batter was delicious! The hushpuppies were fantastic, too! I've had plenty of lukewarm hushpuppies over the years from LJS, but today, you could tell they were freshly fried. Hot, crunchy and tasty! I smothered them with malt vinegar and was in heaven! I don't do it often, but after todays visit, I may come back soon. That chicken and hushpuppies was a great combo, and it was only $6.00. Can't beat that!

Very clean store. The decor is pure LJS.

Even though Long John Silver's still has almost 600 stores. It is very hard at times to find one. My wife and I were thrilled we found this one (thanks to Yelp!) on our way to Sedona. Very friendly staff. The store was very neat and orderly and clean inside. The food was great as always. Highly recommend this store.

I must say that we don't have LJS by us so it may have been the lack off or the food was just that good! Don't get me wrong it's greasy fried fast food, but it's greasy fried fast food at its finest. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon at about 1:30. Place was busy with mostly old timers and one rude middle age gentleman who apparently was in a hurry because he pushed in between two others at the Soda machine. So onto my experience. Place is older, seen better days but it was definitely clean. No spills, no dirty tables, condiments and napkins full. Walk in and a pleasant counter girl took our order. Food arrived hot and fresh in about 5 minutes. Ya-umm. Nothing could have made this food better. I assume the manager brought over a pirate hat for my son. He wore for a quick second for a pic. Eleven year olds are too cool for a paper pirate hat. So why not five stars? Well, an elderly couple about 80 or so came in. They asked for the $7.99 all you can eat Sunday Special. They are told, "sorry we don't honor that!" "Why, its on tv?" Well food costs here are more but I can give it to you for $8.99. They stayed and ate and they did get a military discount. Now I know those types of things have the normal prices vary disclaimer but come on. At least give then a small drink for the discrepancy. We will return to this location, even going out of our way. It was that good.

I havent been to a LJS's in decades. So upon entering we were greeted with the grease aroma in the air. I ordered a 2 piece fish combo. Order was delivered directly to our table. Fish and fries were cooked to a crispy golden brown familiarity that brought me back to my younger years. The only thing missing was the coleslaw. The resturant for the most part very clean the only thing I noticed was something that dripped and dried on the exterior door. Pretty gross. If I were craving LJS's again we would not hesitate coming to this location. Staff was very nice and manager came out and asked how our meal was which is always is a positive.

This LJS is decent. Service was okay, but a bit slower than I expected. The food came out fairly well.

Finally had a free day and went for lunch. A large restaurant in a strip mall with plenty of parking. When you order you have many choices between proteins , rice , burrito or quesadilla . You can have it either in a combo bowl or rice bowl. I like Carnitas and tried a combo bowl. I had a Carnitas burrito , the Gringo quesadilla , Chicken fried rice and Black beans. It comes in a metal takeout tin. I asked if the Carnitas had onions in it because I'm sensitive to them . The server ( nice guy) said the Carnitas had some but I could have something else if I wanted to. I gave it a try. Both , the burrito and quesadilla had scallions in them. Not a fan of them but I ate it. You get a nice portion of food. Everything was fine . For me a return trip is not in the cards. Too far from my house and the food was average .

Then in June of 2021 they closed their 1000 SQ feet location and reopened their new 6000 SQ ft location in July on W. Bell Ave. Chino cult fans were celebrating! My daughter and I finally made the 40 mile drive to their "new" location last month. We saw a bigger kitchen, lots more seating and decor that includes quirky yellow and lavender walls that only Chino fans would understand. ;) Their unique taste combinations of Chinese and Mexican foods are still one of a kind that build their business. Your meal may not be served pipping hot but for $14.40 the filling entrees are hard to beat in my opinion. Pick two proteins, two sides AND you can have one of your proteins put into a burrito or quesadilla. I like it when the quesadilla comes out toasted on the edges and soft in the middle. One of their super fresh cookies are still included when ordering a combo. Their snickerdoodle cookies are ones to make my daughter's mouth water when talking about them! I recall their chocolate volcano cookies being my fave! Both are fresh and a large size. The staff are still friends and deliver your order directly to your table. We stuffed ourselves and reminisced over the good times we've had at the three Chino Bandido locations in the past. It is good to see a local owned family business thrive again!

We took the family here last night and it was so good. Everything was made to perfection, crispy and tender chicken with al the needed condiments. Hot take, but I loved the tender with the tortilla, it was just easy to eat and less messy than the slider. What I really appreciated was the service! The gentleman behind the counter offered for us to try different spice seasoning before we ordered, asked us if we wanted to remove any seasoning for the kiddos, and told us complimentary ice cream and cheese sauce! He was so mindful of the kids and walked us through any questions we had. It was a great experience and I hope everyone can try it out!

From what I understand, the truck moves around to different locations, so it's worth keeping an eye out for where they'll be next. We ordered three Viva Mexico burgers and one bacon avocado burger, plus fries. The total came out to around $80 for the four of us. It's a little on the high side for burgers and fries, but the quality and portion sizes were definitely solid. The fries were a standout. They're hand cut and cooked in beef tallow, which gives them a rich flavor you don't get from typical fries. My son immediately said they're in his top three fries he's ever had, which says a lot. The burgers were big, messy, and really flavorful, definitely a little greasy, but in the best way. The Viva Mexico burgers had great flavor, and the bacon avocado burger was just as good. Overall, if you like a good, greasy burger and excellent fries, La Hambuguesa is worth trying.

My friends and I arrived about 20 minutes before the truck opened, and there were already a few people standing in line. The line moved pretty quickly, and the total time from ordering and receiving our food was only about 15 minutes. At this time, the line wrapped around the truck. The food came out hot and fresh. Filet-o-fish is one of my favorites of all time, and the filet de fish did not disappoint at all! The first bite had us levitating and seeing stars. The tartare sauce that the fried fish was smothered in was delicious and creamy, and the fish fillet itself was tender and flaky. The toasted and soft Japanese bun was the cherry on top. Simple and comforting and nostalgic, but elevated in the best way. We also tried their popular Viva Mexico, but we felt like it lacked in flavor and only tasted spicy, if that makes sense. Beef tallow fries were okay and not anything special. Great portions, however, it was still pretty expensive for a food truck burger. I'm glad I got to try this place out and will be back if the filet de fish hits the menu again, and would try their Signature next time.
