I don't eat grains so I can't speak to the quality of the biscuits but my wife enjoyed them. The entrees were great. I had the Salmon New Orleans with a side of grilled sea scallops and all was clean-your-plate tasty. My wife had the fried flounder and enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the place only serves Pepsi. But, I knew that and brought my own Diet Coke and just asked for ice. I've done this before and they've never had a problem with, nor did they this time. The ambiance is standard Red Lobster, so clean and nothing special. There weren't many customers when we arrived close to 11:30 today and we got right in. I've had to wait in the past, so I don't know why today was so slow. For my main meal I got the Philly Cheesesteak. This isnt your typical Philly style, as it comes with an italian seasoning. The sandwich, and the fries, came out hot. The roll was nice and soft, and the sandwich maintained it's heat throughout. I havent had a cheesesteak from TP in a few years. And this one did not disappoint. It's a good size and they didnt skimp on the filling. The last time I was here, which was for an evening service, was almost a disaster. The service was terrible. The restaurant refused to accept it because of their policy regarding vertical IDs. We were told this is store policy, and although I may disagree with that policy, I understand a restaurant can choose to have stricter ID requirements. What I do not understand is what happened next. I ordered a draft beer for myself and they refused to bring it to me because they said there was a woman sitting at our table with a vertical license. I was not purchasing a drink for her. The beer was ordered for me. Yet I was denied alcohol simply because another adult at my table had an ID that Bubba's chose not to accept. This woman is 30 years old -- not 18, 19, or 20. Her Louisiana driver's license is a government-issued license showing her date of birth. We were not attempting to circumvent an age restriction or purchase alcohol for a minor. I completely support restaurants checking IDs and taking responsible alcohol service seriously. What I don't support is treating an entire table of adults as though they're doing something wrong simply because the restaurant doesn't like the format of one adult customer's valid driver's license. A policy may be a policy, but the way it is applied matters. This turned what should have been an enjoyable meal into an unnecessarily frustrating experience.
