We don't have a red lobster in my home state so I had never been to one. Im usually not that into chains like TJIFridays, Chiles, ect but when we saw on a work trip that nearby Odessa had RED LOBSTER we HAD to drive out of our way to go out there to try it. We received water and piping hot cheesy biscuits soon after being seated. These biscuits were a religious experience, that's all I can say. Our food came out really quickly after we ordered and was also super hot and very fresh. We loved everything we got. The scallops skewers were so good I suggest adding them on to any entree from the ala carte menu. The lobster cheese sauce you can add onto your sides was well worth it. Ok, Red Lobster has been through tough times with the pandemic a couple of years ago and now the bankruptcy filing. But my wife and I decided to make the drive to Odessa for a Memorial Day lunch. All I can say was the service was great. Our server took our order and the food arrived in a reasonable time, maybe 15 minutes. Now, the biscuits hit the table with the drinks and my wife's side salad came shortly after. I don't eat grains so I can't speak to the quality of the biscuits but my wife enjoyed them. The entrees were great. I had the Salmon New Orleans with a side of grilled sea scallops and all was clean-your-plate tasty. My wife had the fried flounder and enjoyed it. My only complaint is that the place only serves Pepsi. But, I knew that and brought my own Diet Coke and just asked for ice. I've done this before and they've never had a problem with, nor did they this time. The ambiance is standard Red Lobster, so clean and nothing special. There weren't many customers when we arrived close to 11:30 today and we got right in. I've had to wait in the past, so I don't know why today was so slow. My lobster was slimy, I about threw up, trying to eat it. and the waitress could've checked on us more I asked for a drink in the middle of my meal. Sewer Deluxe We got through with church and headed to Red Lobster for a treat, but we didn't even stay long enough to eat. As soon as we exited the car you could smell sewer. It didn't get better inside. Plus the hostess had the personality of grammar school paste. When asked what the nasty smell was she merely said, "fish". My husband said, "No, it smells like sewer". Create your own any 2 about 19 bucks however the portions were the reduced amount normally served on the lunch specials. The food was really good and my favorite was probably the snow crab legs! However, it is a little trashy and doesn't smell too good either. The wait for food, and sometimes bread, is long even when they aren't that busy. The bathrooms aren't pleasant either due to the smell and copious amounts of toilet paper on the floor. Sweet tea may not be their strong suit either but that's just my opinion.
