Having grown up on Steak and Shake, I really don't care for steakburgers; way too thin for me. So thin that they're always dry and teetering on being charred if cooked for even a few seconds too long. However, while passing through on a business trip, I decided to give Culver's a chance, and boy was I glad I did. First off, this isn't really a steakburger like I know them. Yes, it's a thin patty, but not nearly as thin as a Steak and Shake burger. I ordered a triple and that thing was pretty thick. I could have easily gotten away with a double and been perfectly happy. As a precautionary measure I also ordered an onion ring and cheese curds in case the burger itself wasn't enough to satiate me. The onion rings were real onion rings and were delicious. Cheese curds were pretty awesome too. The real hero, as it should have been, was the ButterBurger. Juicy, fresh, and packed with delicious flavor. Because I'd eaten both side, I could only eat about half the burger in that one sitting, but it was incredible! I get it now. The Culver's ButterBurger is worth all the bragging I've ever heard about it.

And didn't give me my receipt. No wonder why people don't stop in here at night. I said my order was for here. He put my order in a bag. I politely asked if I could have a tray. He snarked at me i don't give out trays in the evening its a breakfast kind of thing.. but angerly gave me a tray and hurried away before I could even mutter anything else out but was try to say sorry and ask for some mayo packets. He didn't come back to the counter. The cook had to come out of the back to help me. It was only 730pm. For a business that is on social media reminding people that they are open at night they aren't very inviting when you try to come in and sit down and eat inside the restaurant. I would rather drive across town to the other Hardee's than put up with an employee that is bothered by costomers and is worried about doing dishes.. basically bothered to provide basic customer service.

The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. They didn't skimp on the fixings. I ordered two Italian subs fixed "Mike's" way with lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar and spices. The subs were huge and packed with plenty of meat. The thin sliced ham was really good. The dining area has a Jersey Boardwalk theme. Store was clean, organized and there seemed to be a good number of team members there. I think I ordered an odd dish (the egg white breakfast sandwich) because it took a while to get our order.
