A head's up for my people looking for a burrito. Los Vaqueros does not offer burritos. There are no cylindrical, tortilla-wrapped foods that you can hold in your hands. They do indeed have a burrito section on their menu, but all of the burritos have sauce and cheese covering them, which effectively makes them enchiladas. I came for a burrito, but I left with what was essentially a plate of enchiladas. That's fine; I make do. My Burritos Michoacan were two tortillas filled with pork carnitas, and topped with green chili sauce and cheese. Rice and beans came on the side. It was tasty, but again, it was not a burrito. (Alright! I'm done belaboring this point. No burrito, no bueno. I'm sure you get it.) But, four stars because my meal came with complimentary chips and salsa, and the chips were outta sight. I liked using my chips to scoop up the rice and beans and carnitas. My meal was also big enough for two people to share. I ate my to-go meal in my car, which honestly, is the best place to eat a meal, especially a burrito-but-not-burrito meal. I bounced into Los Vaqueros soon after they opened at 11 a.m., and I was able to order my to-go food right there and then wait only about 10 minutes to receive it. There are some seats in the lobby that you can sit at while you wait. Parking can be a little iffy here. There is no designated parking lot, but there is street parking on the side of the restaurant. I wasn't able to find parking there, so I parked across the street. read more

Cheese was alright. The room was very hot and humid. I ordered two bean and cheese burritos and received two beef burritos. I told him and he told me to keep those and that he'd get me new ones. My family was already done with their food before I got the burritos. Our drinks took quite a while to come out too, even though two of them were just bottled bud light. They tried to overcharge us on the bill, we ordered the special for the day and got the 9.99 margaritas. The bill rang up 12 for each marg and full priced for the number 8 special... he took a couple dollars off at the register but we still overpaid... Overall, we won't be back. read more

Sat at the bar. I thought the place was closed. Turns out there were people in the back dining room. Place is bigger than it looks. Food was just okay. The refried beans were a weird color and tasted different. I got the taco, two enchiladas and refried beans. Reasonably priced. Good margarita. Service was fast and friendly. First time here. Since I live in CA and only visit once a year may not make it back. Glad they seem to be doing well! read more

We came here on a day trip to Greenfield. The waiter was incredibly kind and attentive. The food was delicious. I had the Quesadilla Toluca, and she had the Fajipina which was a pineapple half with chicken, steak, shrimp and chorizo (Mexican sausage) with cooked onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. The overall setting was bright and colorful, in midday. We sat in the area near the bar. There was an area towards the back that had seating for families, which seemed a little less bright in the middle of the day, though I assume they are similarly lit at night. The portions were generous, and the price was quite reasonable. A friend invited me to try Los Vaqueros and I'm so glad that I did! The 3 taco sampler was excellent! Quite possibly the best Chorizo taco I've had. (And I've had a few!) Chill atmosphere, excellent service and efficient! I'll be back. read more

This restaurant has not been in town too long so this was my first stop there. I went in for lunch because I work near there. I ordered the number one lunch special for $6.49 and a soft drink and I dined in for lunch. The food came to the table piping hot and quickly even though they were busy. The meat that I ordered in my enchilada and tacos was shredded chicken and there was plenty of it in both. I ordered rice on the side instead of the beans and I really liked everything I was served. The waiter was very attentive and asked if I needed a refill on my drink when he saw that it was low. It appears there is a bar area when you enter through the front door off of US-40 and you walk along a hallway to get to the restaurant. There is also a side door at the end of that hallway. The one thing I will say about eating here is parking is tough. I did find a spot on the street in front of the restaurant and down a little ways. I will definitely come back here to try it again and hopefully I have the same results. read more

Went here for a dinner date and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The ingredients tasted very fresh and I got exactly what I ordered, very generous portions. The people who served us were very friendly, and made sure to check in on us to see if we needed anything else as well. My only gripe is the music playing from the speakers was so incredibly loud. It kinda killed the mood having to raise my voice and ask my fiancé to repeat himself multiple times, just to have a conversation. I would like to eat more from this place, because the food was delicious, the price was fair, and the interior was very nice too. I just hope that we just came in on a bad day. read more

I downloaded this app just so I could rave about this place. The food was delicious, I ordered the Cameron Supremo, which was essentially shrimp, mushrooms, and onions in a creamy cheesy sauce with tortilla shells and fixings. The service was wonderful, the waiter was very attentive. It was also cheap, my dad and I ate for $22.43 (we each got the same thing) and also ordered queso and extra tortillas. 10/10! read more

Food is good. Service is always fast! Queso is slightly spicy, which my family loves.

I placed a to-go order for a business lunch. They said it would be about 10-15 min but it was ready in about 5. Absolutely delicious! Two people ordered the Vallarta. They enjoyed it. One is a regular customer to this place and that was his recommendation. I got the carmines a la Diabla and it was very delicious!! I would defintely order it again! Decided to stop in here today instead of Our typical spot don Rigo. So far I'm super impressed. This place is HUGE! Tons of seating and massive bar area. Super clean. Chips and salsa were perfect! Cheese dip delish. My husband got the margarita and said it's not the typical sweet syrupy drink other places serve. He thought it was very fresh and strong! He got the tacos, I got the taco salad, everything was great. Only complaint was the restroom was lack luster. read more

Not sure how this place got 4.5 stars. The service was slow. The margarita was horrible n watered down. The food is so so but nothing to write home to. The salsa for the chips had no flavor. My wife's carnitas had no flavor. Kids walking in back by kitchen area. Not the greatest all around. Won't be back. First and last time here!! Absolute disappointment Sweet tea looked and tasted like murky pond water Ordered Texas fajitas sent the rice and beans back as they were cold. And refried beans had this orange tint looked like mashed pumpkin. As far as the fajitas I've had more meat on 2 soft tacos at Taco Bell!!! Tamales !!!! What can I say I ordered from here for take out dinner and got a Tamale which was great came covered in red sauce and I got the Chicken cheese and rice dish and it came with tortillas! Food and service is consistently good here. Queso is perfect consistency, they are generous with chips (and salsa). We've tried tons of things on the menu and have been satisfied - good food, large portions. My daughter always gets chimichangas - dinner portion has two - they are not overstuffed, so the outside is crispy & the portion ratio of items inside is top- notch. Greenfield, so maybe that is why the rating was so high on this Mexican place. We are Mexican food experts since it is me and my wife's favorite food. This place was terrible. We waited at the door for five minutes before being greeted. Then we're not even busy. The food was awful. I think both me and my wife got food poisoning. We love Margaritta's, even those were awful. The Carnitas were just okay. Bottom line, if you want good Mexican food, do not come here. Go to Pendleton, IN. read more

First time to eat at this restaurant. First of all, we were seated at a table that was totally wobbly. Someone had used sugar packets to try to even it out- did not work. We asked to be reseated. Later they tried to seat someone else there- they asked to be moved as well. All of the food that all four of us got was very good. Salsa could be a little more flavorful. Service was not as great.
