This was my second coast to coast moving experience and I was already dreading the move due to my previous moving experience. I am glad that this experience was far different and far superior. Key highlights 1. Fair and Transparent pricing - I had clarity on what I wanted to move. The team led by Luke was able to provide me pricing and I was able to edit my inventory till the day of my move to change the pricing accordingly. On the day of move I did realize there was one additional box and few items (not high volume). Team accommodated it without charging me extra 2. Great team who handled loading and unloading - the team that came to pick my stuff was very efficient. Packed all my stuff very well and did the job fairly quick. Just to give you an estimate to move a 2 bedroom house, last time my movers took 8-10 hours, this time it was done in around 2. I missed on handing over one item in the inventory - the team was able to accommodate that in the next day. The team that unloaded the items very were efficient as well 3. Items reached with minimal wear and tear 4. Tracking was super efficient, I was constantly aware when my item would reach. I was also able to request for delayed delivery after it had left the warehouse. 5. Great followups and customer service - any followup questions I had were promptly answered. There quick checkins and followups by the team at critical points to make the process smooth. 6. Haggle free engagement - the team is not pushy on sales. Talking to them was a very pleasant experience. If you like me have done this multiple times you know how difficult it gets. The quote at times might look higher than some other offers, but it will be eventually less than what some other people might charge at door when you are left with no option. I moved to NYC from SF. The movers packing my belonging in SF packed my marble coffee table without disassembling it so it broke into pieces. Also, my mirror TV credenza shattered as well. Although my furniture cost more than $1000 in total, I only got $200 as a reimbursement. I'm really disappointed since I paid so much for the service and saw my 2 major items of furniture broken. read more

I was looking for a long distance move and what I had read online sounded so great! I called to get a quote. What I heard sounded great as well but I wasn't at that place during the planning stage of the move yet. I called back once I was ready and the quote was MUCH different and about $2.5k MORE than originally stated. I gave the person I spoke with the second time the same items I gave the first person. If that wasn't bad enough, they wanted all the money BEFORE the move. No, I'm not doing that. They were however bonded and offered insurance as they should be. read more

Moving can be a stressful situation especially long distance moving, so I was willing to pay to have Long Distance Movers take the stress out of the situation. I relied heavily on the great reviews here in making that decision as well. Unfortunately, it seems the quality of their service has depreciated significantly. The first part of the move from my place in New York to storage went swimmingly and I was prepping to write a 5 star review at the end of the process. Until I asked to have my stuff delivered after it had been in storage for a month. I am at the stage where I am trying to get my stuff delivered to my place in DC after a month in storage and I having difficulty getting responses from the agent at Long Distance Movers that set up my move. I have no idea where my stuff is or when I can expect it to be delivered. At this point I am not even sure if my stuff is in storage or if it was dropped into the Hudson River. Needless to say I am in the middle of a move and taking care of a million different things as I send texts and emails daily to my Long Distance Mover agent. The last time I heard from him was about 48 hours ago. I'm giving them 2 stars because the guys who picked up my stuff were exceptional. If I never get my stuff delivered or if it is delivered in 2017 and I'm charged for another month of storage, I'll of course need to downgrade this to one star. It took us weeks until we finally found the right company that we felt comfortable with hiring, there were many concerns we had about the guys who we would choose and Long Distance satisfied all of them. Such a pleasant company to deal with in regards to having your home or office space moved out. They were so willing to cooperate with us in any way possible, including meeting our deadlines and bringing special types of equipment to ensure the safety of our stuff. One example is the wooden crates they had that enabled all of the things you needed to be moved to remain still while they are shipped. Since your stuff is moving many miles across the country insurance would be something good to consider. They offered us several affordable deals as well as a bundle that included insurance. Very reliable company and they are willing to help you out understanding the current state of the economy. The best part of this whole thing is that they even helped us clear out the unnecessary stuff in our house and found us a good and cheap storage company to store our stuff into. We had a lot of furniture that needed to remain in the old house and they offered us to move those out if need be. My daughter from New York City to Washington DC. We had them First pick up from her apt New York City on Wednesday And took the stuff to storage and then deliver on Saturday to Washington DC. On both parts of our Move the movers were nothing but professional, on time, courteous, and very careful about their packing and wrapping of the furniture. On Saturday they delivered on time and put all the furniture together that had to be taken apart. I called these guys a week ago and they said that they are booked but they will try to come and help me anyway possible and they did. I live alone so it was a bit hard for me to move everything by myself. When they came they started to pack everything that was little in boxes and wrapped all the kitchen stuff like my bowls and my plates in paper to so it doesn't break. They helped me with all the moving and i cant thank them enough. They were so nice and got everything done on time. They respected my time and theirs since they had such a busy schedule and fulfilled my needs even though they were so busy on that day. Plus they even helped me clean to at the end a bit but didn't even charge me for that. I cant thank Them enough for their kindness and for the help even though it was so hard for them to move everything down 3 floors they did it and made me happy for not doing them alone.
