I unexpectedly needed a few additional items boxed on moving day, and they handled everything without hesitation. Every item was packed and transported with great care. Nothing was broken, damaged, or missing. The move into my new space was just as smooth as the move out of my old one. They carefully followed all of the building's rules for elevator use, placed furniture exactly where I requested, and neatly stacked boxes in the appropriate rooms. What impressed me most was their professionalism and attention to detail. They communicated clearly throughout the process, regularly checked to make sure I didn't have any questions, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right. Before leaving, they removed all of the packing materials they had used and left both my old and new homes clean and tidy. The entire move stayed on schedule and was remarkably efficient. I honestly could not have been happier with how smoothly everything went. The two movers assigned to my move were truly exceptional--kind, courteous, hardworking, and diligent professionals who clearly take great pride in their work. After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. She was always extremely responsive. Every question we asked was answered quickly and every email we received felt very reassuring. We haven't moved in a while and we had a lot of worries about moving to NY and hiring movers. But we could tell how competent they were even over email. For example, we realized the night before the move that we have a sunken in living room we did not mention before. We thought surely that will be an extra charge (and other movers might be very upset with us for not mentioning it!). We frantically emailed that they may want to bring a ramp or something. Olga responded, that is no problem. A lot of other companies also wanted an inventory of everything ahead of time, which we definitely didn't have. Olga said we could guesstimate and update her if anything changed. This was a lifesaver. When we updated along the way, she never seemed concerned that what we were adding was too much. We have friends who have used other moving companies, and they told us actual horror stories (e.g., movers not showing up, a million extra charges, needing every box to be accounted for before the move, things breaking, etc.). So when we were looking for movers, we were trying to avoid all of that. We decided to go with NY nomads because they were a small family business. Many of the big companies seem to be hit or miss - some people have okay experiences and some have really bad ones. There's a reason NY nomads have so many great reviews. They're kind, consistent, and professional. Djordje was friendly, great to talk to, and clearly very knowledgeable about moving and NYC. I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently they moved everything into the truck, and I was even more impressed with how they were able to park the truck right in front of our apartment. You can tell they have a lot of experience. If you're moving to NYC or moving within NYC, I would absolutely recommend NY nomads. You won't regret it. Worth every penny.

We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

I wanted them out of my basement. I found David on craigslist and thought id give him a call. He and his partner picks up any type of scrap metal for FREE(they then sell them to a scrap yard to recycle). I left him a message and he called me back within 10 minutes. He arrived the same day(alot of others i called wanted to stop by the next or even following day). He checked out what i had and agreed to come in the next morning to break them down(take them apart) and lug the machinery out before i opened my store. He was very courteous and professional. I was surprised to see He had a pocket calendar with his appointments. Im pretty sure that he will pick up scrap metal in all the nyc boroughs. I think its very hard to find someone in this industry who is as professional and courteous as he and his partner was. Now my store basement is clean and super organized!

The people from Long Distance Movers are amazing! Writing reviews is not really my thing, but I just feel like it wouldn't be fair to these guys not to put in a good word after all they've done for us. My girlfriend and I own a tattoo and piercing studio, and we recently found a bigger place for a lot less money in another city and decided to move our business. At first we wanted to just find a moving truck and do everything else on our own. We didn't really want just anyone touching and handling all our equipment. And it wasn't only the equipment that was the problem, but we also have some custom made paintings and other artwork by famous tattoo artists that we didn't want to risk getting damaged. But clumsy as we both are, we managed to break a mirror around ten minutes into packing. And that was it for us, we agreed to hire someone a little less prone to breaking stuff to do it for us. So we asked around a bit, and a regular customer of ours recommended Long Distance Movers. We gave them a call, explained that it wasn't really just furniture and PCs that we were moving, and the guy from their customer service assured us they could do it. To be honest I wasn't quite sure, but it's not like we had a choice. Anyway, they first sent a couple of guys to do an estimate (which I didn't even know was a thing, I thought they just had fixed prices or something), and that's about when I started to relax and trust them. It turned out that one of them was actually a fan of my work and also an aspiring tattoo artist, and he really did know the right way to handle all the equipment. All the other people (the ones who came to pack things) knew exactly what they were doing as well. I mean, those who were not confident handling our equipment, packed other things, like shelves, mirrors, chairs, and so on. They were also super careful with the artwork as well. Wrapped it all in all kinds of protection materials, and they also made sure that the boxes (which they brought themselves, by the way) were the right dimensions, so that the things inside wouldn't fly around and get broken. Anyway, once it all arrived in front of the new shop, we were already prepared to start unpacking everything, figuring out how to reassemble the furniture and so on. I even invited a couple of pals over to help us with everything. They assembled everything back at a very reasonable fee! So that was pretty amazing - getting to sit back and watch your new tattoo shop come to life on its own. I almost felt like a VIP. Both me and my girlfriend are beyond satisfied with the services we got. Really, these guys were amazing. Very professional, but also laid back and chill. I wouldn't exactly say that we'd do it all over again if we could, but if we do ever decide to move our store again, it will definitely be with these people. read more

I've lived on the countryside my entire life. My family has owned a huge farm for decades now and naturally, I inherited everything. Of course, it would not be just us relocating - we had to move the farm as well. This is where we became a bit worried about whether we were going to be able to afford such a big investment. We weren't sure if there were any moving companies out there which would be able to help us with moving our farm. We started searching online and asked a couple of friends for some advice. One day, we came across Long Distance Movers' website. We decided to take a closer look and, after a few hours, found excellent reviews from several satisfied customers which also had their farms relocated to a different location. However, there was still one issue that was bothering us and that was whether we were going to be able to afford this or not. So, we decided to call the company and ask for a moving quote or an estimate. Fortunately for us, they offered us a really good moving estimate and we decided that that was it! We scheduled our relocation and began receiving instructions for preparing our farm for relocation. It was a really complicated process, but their representative team made sure to check up on us every now and then, just to make sure we knew what we were doing. This made this entire preparation process ten times easier and less stressful for us. We're very thankful for them. The best part comes now - when the moving day came and when the movers arrived, they immediately started organizing and packing everything we had on our farm, including the pigpens, tractors, silage wrap, pallets, virtually everything we had on our farm! We were very impressed by how skilled these guys were - it's as if they were made to do this! They were really professional and we couldn't have been happier with the fact that we hired them. Once they packed everything up, they started loading the items onto their moving trucks. Because we wanted the entire farm moved, as well as our home, they had to schedule around 5-6 huge moving trucks, in order to fit everything comfortably. Anyway, when they finished, we slowly started moving towards our new address. We arrived quickly, and they started unpacking everything. Our new farm was slowly being put together, as well as our new home. After they finished with everything, they thanked us for hiring them and left. All I have to say is that we're absolutely thrilled with these guys! They made our lives so much easier with their help, we truly cannot thank them enough! I was relocating due to a better position my company offered in their offices there. So I said to myself what the heck why not give it a try. Little did I know about how difficult moving actually is. So many things you need to think about. Even though I was going to a better salary, still I needed to find a new home for my family, so all that put quite a strain on the budget. Long story short, I needed to find the cheapest possible way to move. So we decided to hire a moving company, but keep the services we want limited to only those that we absolutely need. I heard from my colleagues from work, who had moved before how satisfied they were with them. And really from the first contact, they filled me with confidence. They explained to us how the entire moving process would be handled and at what time. So we set the date for the agent to come and explain in person their services and do the necessary measurements. We explained to him that we only wanted their guys to transport our boxes, that we pretty much couldn't afford anything more than that. So he provided us with a bunch of instructions on how to pack different things, which in hindsight was very helpful. I think we would've ended up with just a pile of broken things if we hadn't read those instructions. They also offered to provide us with packing materials, to which we agreed, since their prices were far more affordable than those in stores. They have a great variety of boxes on their website! Now that the whole thing is over, I can say I'm more than satisfied with the services provided by Trico Long Distance Movers. And I'm pretty sure my wife feels the same way. Full transparency from start to finish, no hidden costs, no surprises, no "unexpected expenses". I was completely confident that these guys knew what they were doing throughout the whole thing, and I was right. All our things came in perfect condition. Nothing was broken, nothing went missing. Not even the easily breakable things, like wine glasses. Although, I have to add, we were pretty good at packing those. Also, on the moving day the driver showed up exactly on time and was professional in every way from start to finish. He was polite and outgoing, and really took time to reassure us that our things would be fine. And the guys who loaded our boxes onto the truck were just as nice. I don't know who to thank more. They took extreme care of all our stuff during the whole process. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for moving helpers. I travel to NYC off and on to do studio work with some of my artists. I needed to relocate an entire studios worth of equipment to our new location. I called up Cross Country Moving Company and spoke with Alex and told him my situation and he told me not to stress over it and to trust him to get the job done. I'm so glad I did just that! The whole process was smooth, there was 2 workers that came when we needed them and they got to work fast and efficient. They even made my niece laugh which was nice. At the start, our items were to have been picked up on either 5/28 or 5/29 but were not picked up until May 30th. We then entered into daily attempts to communicate with the company as to when the furniture would be delivered. On most days, our calls were not returned at all. When we did reach someone they could not provide any information as to when we could expect our furniture. This went on for nearly two weeks until our furniture was finally delivered on June 12. In summary, communication by Cross Country Movers was entirely unsatisfactory. The movers themselves were fine.

Mystical Moving Company…read more I was happy to work with Shonari for my move from New Jersey to South Carolina as he had come highly recommended. After 3 visits to assess the job - 1 virtual and 2 in person - my family and I were told "You have less than I thought - No problem", that it would take "3 Hours to pack the truck" and further that "We'll pack anything you didn't." To our dismay, it took 7+ hours instead of 3 hours. In about the 7th hour we were informed that there was no room left in the truck for several items. Thus a sleep sofa, 3 tables, 3 indoor trees, cleaning supplies and other items- both of utility and sentimental value - were trashed. Unbeknownst to us at the time, various other items of value were left behind in the house. Having already protracted our departure time by 4 hours, at this point we had to depart so as not to lose our hotel reservation in North Carolina. The sum total of the replacement value of the trashed and left behind items borders on $2,000. Beyond the monetary loss is the emotional loss - possessions of deep sentimental value, many of which are irreplaceable. Finally, upon unpacking and realizing that 1 of the 4 -carefully wrapped by us - identical and irreplaceable indoor lamp posts was missing, I twice phoned Shonari but could not leave a message of inquiry as the voice mail had not been set up. Ultimately i emailed him, politely inquiring if he may know of its whereabouts (See Below). Upon receiving no response, i emailed again. To this day I have received NO RESPONSE. This whole experience was quite horrifying to me since I was completely misled, and had to leave behind many valuable and expensive items, some irreplaceable. The tangible loss is extremely painful, but to be ignored feels even worse. I recommend you use a different moving company. Hi Shonari.... I was wondering if you could solve a mystery that none of us can. This is regarding 1 of 4 white torch lights (about 5 1/2 fee tall with glass bulb enclosure at top). My daughters distinctly remember taping them carefully to prevent breakage - knowing how valuable they are to me. We have combed every nook & cranny in the house and can only find 3 of them. If you are deciding whether or not to book them take this review as a sign that you should NEVER work with them and go with another company. I had gone with them for my move because I had used them last year. And even though the move last year was mediocre (late arrival, workers spending time to use my bathroom without asking, slow communication, etc) I still decided to go with them because they gave a really nice return customer discount which was far below all of the other quotes that I saw around. When I first started to communicate with them everything was going pretty well. Communication was quick and I had all my questions answered quickly and efficiently. However, after I paid my deposit and COI charges everything went downhill from there. I had worked it out with David before to have my COIs sent out ASAP due to the request of my buildings since I was told they usually send out the COIs 1-2 days before a move. They were able to send out the COIs early last year during my other move so I knew it was possible albeit they were also very laggy on that last year as well but still got done. David told me to message him a weekend two weeks before my move to make sure my COIs were sent out which I did with no answer. I gave them till the following Monday and still no message after asking again. After some badgering I finally received a message on Wednesday saying he would check in with me by tomorrow and let me know. And still no update or answer. This went on till the next Monday where I never received an answer to a simple "Is my COI sent out like you promised" question. During this whole time I am pretty sure they were fielding my calls as well because I was always sent straight to voicemail. Finally, after no actual response and no idea what was going to happen with a move that was seeming to probably never happen I asked them directly if this move was going to happen and never received a response. So that forced me to find another moving company around 4 days before my move. Which really amplified my anxiety on top of an already stressful situation such as moving. This whole situation just felt like such a scam - they got their money and completely ghosted and did not give any service or just basic communication. They handled this situation so unprofessionally. Heed this warning and NEVER work with Clean Cut Moving.

The movers were respectful, moved my things in a quick and orderly fashion while still being careful/attentive. And they even helped me with removal and installation my AC, as well as talked to my super on my behalf before going ahead and helping put it in themselves. They were good with my clothes, taking them out the closet and hanging them up.
