This has always confounded me as to who their target audience are. They should probably rethink their strategy on that front as from a business standpoint does not seem to make much sense to me. The customer service is okay with a convenient drive thru pharmacy. One thing I like though is that Walgreens seem to be one of the few stores or maybe even the only one in Utah with parking stalls with electric charging stations for people with electric vehicles, so for those looking for a place to quickly charge their vehicles, Walgreens is a very good option to check first up before you head home or to your dealership to get your car charged. How hard would it have been to simply look at me, say I'm sorry, we are closing and can't take any more customers but our other pharmacy is open until 10pm. And here is a helpful hint, I was so put off by that interaction, I had my doctor's office send my prescription to Amazon Pharmacy and they delivered my prescription to me within a few hours! No need to be verbally lambasted by a grumpy pharmacy tech at Walgreens ever again!

Here's what happened: I knew this location was open 24 hours, but I called around 6:30 p.m. to see if their photo center was also open 24 hours and to see if I could get my photos printed if I came in late that night. The lady I spoke to said yes. I went in at 10:40 p.m. and put in my order for my pictures on the self-serve computer. Then I went to the front to tell the employee I had done it and asked if I could get them printed please (the receipt said they would be ready at 1 a.m. but they always do it right away if you ask). She said I would have to wait till 1 a.m. because their photo computers updated from 11 to 1 and she wouldn't be able to print anything during that time. I said, "okay, but it's 10:50." And it would not take more than 5 minutes to print 20 4x6 photos. She insisted that it still wouldn't be possible because she was helping other customers check out and couldn't go over to the photo center right then (she was the only one on the clock). I found it strange that she was willing to help all the customers in line behind me rather than spend 10 seconds to walk to the photo computer and press one button for me (who was in front of all the other waiting customers). But maybe she felt that the customers checking out come before someone who needs other assistance. So I waited. I let everyone go in front of me while I waited, and hoped that she would finish all these customers before 11 p.m. and then I could convince her to help me. As I waited, I noticed one customer who got in line wearing a Walgreens shirt (an employee, barely off the clock, buying something on her way out). She asked, "are you in line?" And I told her I was waiting for help at the photo center. She said she could help me. She walked the 30 feet to the photo center and pressed 1 button and my pictures were printing. It took 5 seconds, maybe 10 tops. I was so grateful! I was there on Saturday night trying to print photos for Mother's Day the next day and she totally saved me! As I checked out, the original lady who wouldn't help me said "sorry about that. I couldn't legally ask for her help since she wasn't on the clock." But honestly, that doesn't matter. She didn't need help! It would have taken her 10 seconds to help me and save me 2 hours of waiting! But she wasn't willing.

The nurses and doctors were amazing. Here's the part that's AWEFUL. The doctor called in her medication at 11am, my daughter confirmed with Walgreens that the medication was being filled at noon but they were busy and to come back in an hour. The medication was still not filled, so they came at 3pm and still couldn't get the medication filled. I went through the drive through at 7pm and the guy at the window said it wasn't ready and to come in and they'd get it filled. So of course I'm a bit frustrated at this point and when I come in, I go to the window and ask why it wasn't ready yet. The pharmacist, who's picture I've added said, she's in line and their getting everyone taken care of in a line. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks that heartburn, cold, pimple and other trivial ailments should not be taken care of before a girl that's been ripped open from hip to hip and is excruciating pain. He's treating this like a McDonalds restaurant. Not to mention, if there's a 40 minute wait at the drive through and nearly the same inside, SOMETHING IS WRONG! What is going on Walgreens?
