I didn't come for the drugstore, the clothing, the toys, the household goods, or any of the other stuff that I forget is commonly found at drugstores. No, instead I came for drinks. Which I never really remember they have at drugstores like Walgreens, except a light bulb went off in my head and I remembered, and got them. Sort of like a quasi-convenience store quasi-grocery store, the back wall has a long panel of refrigerators with food and drinks. Massive props for the big selection of drinks. Not in love with the prices, but it was about convenience today. This is one of the tidier, more open, and spacious Walgreens I've been to, so kudos for that as well.

If it's out of stock, when will you get it?? And two, if you guys are unable to get it today, can you transfer it to another pharmacy so I can pick it up today?! That seemed very difficult for her. Her response in a nutshell. We don't have it and can order it will be to here tomorrow. I need it filled today as I'm leaving town. Asked if she could have it transferred to another pharmacy. She told me to hang up and call another pharmacy to have it filled there. I asked her if she could have it transferred since she's already in my profile. So I don't hang up and have to call another pharmacy. I mean that would be a good customer service. No. Then she told me to just go to the pharmacy and talk to them and pick it up. At that point, I said, let me talk to a manager. The manager got on the phone and said she can't even transfer it and that the doctor would need to have it transferred. So she just gave me information that was false just to get me off the phone. On top of that- if she's going to talk crap about me at least know that her phone is still on I can hear. She had an unruly customer who was complaining about the self service check out. It was kind of a comical scene. She did great! I came in for snacks and drinks to keep in my hotel while I visit Salt Lake City for the next three days. The snack selection was excellent. Also picked up some hair dye. If I run out of snacks, I'm coming back here because I saw some other things I wanna try. I used my extra care coupons and it took $21 off my total which took it down to about half of what it was. Can't beat that! I recommend the extra care program for anyone who likes to shop at CVS.

It looks kinda like most Walmarts. I head over to the deli and see the fried chicken. They have 8 piece orders with both dark and white meat for around $8.00 bucks an order. I get 4 orders just to be safe, some of my crew are bigger guys and I think can eat a lot. I get back to the hotel and they're all waiting for me in the lobby. There's a breakfast dining are we can use, and there some plates and napkins and stuff. Coffee too. They're all happy to see and smell the fried chicken. I'm in town visiting my son and needed a small prescription until I get home. Normally I use mail…read moreorder but it hadn't arrived by the time I left so my doctor's office offered to call in a two-week supply for me locally. They confirmed that they had, in fact, called it in at 1 pm (12 pm local time) yesterday and verified once again the pharmacy location and phone number. Today I went there at 4 pm to pick it up only to be told by the pharmacy that they hadn't received it. They offered to transfer my entire prescription to their pharmacy which would then enable them to fill it for me but I wasn't interested in changing pharmacies... just getting enough medication until I returned home. They were nice about it, but I told them I had called my provider's office before coming who confirmed they had called it in so I believed they should have it. Just then another woman working in the back came up to "help." I had heard her complaining (grumbling?) since I got there about how she needed to leave or she'd get caught in traffic, so I wasn't surprised when she firmly restated to me that it hadn't been called in. Her "husband's a doctor" you see, and she sees this all the time where the doctor's office says they did something when they hadn't. Well guess what, Mrs. my-husband's-a-doctor, I'm not sure how your husband's offie is, but I've been going to the same provider for 15+ years and my experience tells me when they confirm they've done something, it's taken care of. On the other hand... there's a long list of reasons why I no longer use CVS as my regular pharmacy and today, you just made that list longer. May I suggest a little refresher on customer service?
