They confirmed that they had, in fact, called it in at 1 pm (12 pm local time) yesterday and verified once again the pharmacy location and phone number. Today I went there at 4 pm to pick it up only to be told by the pharmacy that they hadn't received it. They offered to transfer my entire prescription to their pharmacy which would then enable them to fill it for me but I wasn't interested in changing pharmacies... just getting enough medication until I returned home. They were nice about it, but I told them I had called my provider's office before coming who confirmed they had called it in so I believed they should have it. Just then another woman working in the back came up to "help." I had heard her complaining (grumbling?) since I got there about how she needed to leave or she'd get caught in traffic, so I wasn't surprised when she firmly restated to me that it hadn't been called in. Her "husband's a doctor" you see, and she sees this all the time where the doctor's office says they did something when they hadn't. Well guess what, Mrs. my-husband's-a-doctor, I'm not sure how your husband's offie is, but I've been going to the same provider for 15+ years and my experience tells me when they confirm they've done something, it's taken care of. On the other hand... there's a long list of reasons why I no longer use CVS as my regular pharmacy and today, you just made that list longer. May I suggest a little refresher on customer service?

Put up all the signs you want about staff shortages and being nice. I know you can do better, pay better, staff better. Only thing confusing about this whole deal is that there are two locations of CVS pharmacy's on 700 east. They are both on different parts of Sandy city, so depending you may get turned around or confused and could have your doctor accidentally pick the location that isn't closest to your house like I did. I am a regular shopper at Macey's and am always very happy with my shopping experiences. I'm there…read morea few times per week and everything I need is always in stock, and fresh. Macey's always has decent sales and my kids enjoy their signature King Kone ice cream cones. I sometimes like to grab a drink at the Starbucks in their store or a freshly made sushi roll created by their own sushi chef. They also have a rotating selection of three delicious soups, amazing hot sandwiches, and wood-fired pizzas. There's fresh squeezed fruit juices, and my favorite garden fresh salsa, antipasto bar, etc. The grocery store is always neat and kept super clean. Plus the employees are so personable and kind! My absolute favorite person there is a cashier named Shaima who remembers me by name and always asks about my family, plus she gives great food recommendations to try. I notice that she makes all the customers laugh and smile, so I always look for her when I'm checking out, because she's so uplifting and pleasant. :) I really enjoy this store and the happy employees. The only reason we ever ventured here was the pharmacy. But that has become an even worse issue than the messy shelves. They will randomly and abruptly close down for the day. Not the known 30 minute lunch break, but random closings of hours to days. I will get texts saying my Rx is ready just to find they've not begun to fill it. Having bad customer service is obviously bad for employee morale and the quality of their customer service has likewise plummeted. It's just not a pleasant place to shop at all. Most recently, I called to fill a controlled substance and asked to fill it today, the person on the pharmacy's end of the line's answer was, yes in 30-40 minutes. I sent my bf to pick them up to find that they cn't be filled until tomorrow, which is fine had you not told me I could pick them up today. The pharmacist states I should have enough to last....
