It's hard to describe what happened to this store. We've lived in the area for over a decade. It's a Walgreens - not a high end department store - but they really seem to lean into the esthetic of unstocked or messy shelves and nonexistent employees. The only reason we ever ventured here was the pharmacy. But that has become an even worse issue than the messy shelves. They will randomly and abruptly close down for the day. Not the known 30 minute lunch break, but random closings of hours to days. I will get texts saying my Rx is ready just to find they've not begun to fill it. Having bad customer service is obviously bad for employee morale and the quality of their customer service has likewise plummeted. It's just not a pleasant place to shop at all. I've had repeated issues with this Walgreens pharmacy spontaneously closing without notice, even after confirming with staff that my prescription would be ready. Most recently, I spoke directly with the pharmacist who assured me my medication was available and he was filling my prescription right then. When I arrived a short time later the same day, the pharmacy was closed with just a note on the sign. This isn't the first time this has happened, and it's incredibly frustrating--especially when you're dealing with time-sensitive medications. I spent hours calling other pharmacies, none of which had my prescription in stock. To make matters worse, I called another Walgreens location and spoke with a pharmacist who confirmed they had my medication in stock. I had my doctor send over a new prescription, only to be told when I drove over later that same day that they did not have it in stock after all. Now I have to track down my busy doctor again and have him send ANOTHER prescription to the Midvale Walgreens and hope they are actually open and I can pick up my past do prescription. Walgreens needs to seriously improve its communication, reliability, and accountability. Patients deserve better than this! read more

And honestly shouldn't even be in business. They take advantage of them being a needed resource and are a complete joke! I don't care which Walgreens you deal with, their customer service is HORRIBLE. I had a prescription sent to this store by my doctor and I got a message saying they needed to confirm the prescription with the doctor, even though he was the one who sent it. I tried calling the pharmacy to clarify things and was disconnected by them three times, including being placed on hold for 20+ minutes during two of those calls. You'll notice that none of the Walgreens in the valley have ratings that are more than two out of five stars, and nearly all of the reviews are one stars. That's because Walgreens puts profits over people. Eventually, they will not make money at all with this kind of reputation. Never again will I get a prescription filled at Walgreens. read more

The Caucasian Male Pharmacist and Caucasian Female Brown hair "new: Tech are horrible. If I could file a law suit against both of them I would. I certainly pray that what goes around comes around. If they had to be in my body for 5 minutes not only would they not be able to handle it the certainly would not be harrassing me about giving me my medication. I have jumped through every single hoop they give. I have provided my Insurance Company exactly what they need, I was told today that my meds have been approved for 1 year and to call Walgreens on State Street in Midvale to fill my prescription. I even called to make sure my prescription would be filled. I was then told to call back in one hour, when I did I was told that my meds were at the West Jordon location, that seemed wrong to me but after 3 weeks without my meds I went there. The gal made me wait in the drive through line for about 30 minutes, then she hands me my meds, I could tell something was wrong after I had the meds in hand. She had given me 8 pills and then told me the 120 pills were at the Midvale location. I drive all the way over there to be treated like garbage, like a criminal. The RUDE Tech in Training told me that since I had the 8 pills then i cannot get my 120 pills, they she changes her mind and tells me that my Doctor has to call in. It is Friday night! For three weeks these two have treated me like trash. One day, I hope it is pay back time and they get what they deserve, Terrible Customer Service! They do not even deserve a ONE star. read more

Basic Walgreens trip with nothing special in mind, but service was great and we were in and out in no time.

I'm a little creeped out by most Walgreens, and this one is no exception. But before we get to that, there's plenty to like about them. First and foremost, convenience is the name of the game. This one is on 7200 S. and State Street, so you get all the convenience of State Street and wrap it up into the 7200 S. exit of I-15 which is just few blocks to the west. Add the fact that 7200 S. is just about the center of the Salt Lake Valley, and this drugstore might be the most centrally located place in the entire county to buy a stick of deodorant. Remember that next time you're sweating through your shirt. It's good for a few basics, and has a large selection of health & beauty aids. Cold drinks, your barest of bare minimum in the grocery department, and some snacks. Here's where the creepy part comes in. So... all that stuff you'd expect to find takes up about a third of the store. So, what in the world are they selling in the other third. Are people really driving to Walgreens to buy a variety of bubble blowing toys? Or horribly made t-shirts with the name of the local town on them? Or dish towels? Who's buying this stuff? Who's thinking, "Well, time to go do my back to school shopping at Walgreens."? Honestly, if YOU are thinking that I'd like to know. Maybe I just wasn't raised in a drugstore family. I've been to small towns where the shopping is done is local drugstores, but they're mostly drugs, and the local general store has the hard goods and softlines. Anyways, come for the convenience. This is the worst pharmacy ever.... every time I go to pickup a prescription there's always an issue. You send customers a message that their prescription is ready but just like today when I went to pick it up only 1 out of the 2 were ready. I got a notification over an hour before I went that my prescriptions were ready to pick up. Then the lady helping me, I wish I knew her name because she's horrible at her job asks if I can drive back around so they can fill it real fast. I said her no, there's 10 cars behind me. Then she says I can go inside to pick it up. The whole point of the drive through is not to be around people during a pandemic. ‍ I don't know who the new pharmacist is but they suck at their job and so does Hailey. She always has an attitude every time I go to this place. I see other people have had horrible experiences with her and your poorly run business as well. I was in customer service for 16 years. It's not that hard to provide a good experience if you have the correct people employed. Walgreens, figure it out. I didn't catch her name but the older lady with grey hair behind the counter on 9/21/2022 seemed needlessly rushed and overly stressed, annoyed, and rude. She was annoyed every time I tried to ask a question about my prescriptions, which was very basic... "when will Ozempic be filled," "which prescriptions is 'that one' that will be ready in 5 minutes?" I am really tired of coming to this pharmacy. I think I will switch, if transferring prescriptions isn't too much of a headache. If you hate what you're doing, find a different job. read more

Meh. It wasn't a great experience here. There is a very crabby girl working in the pharmacy- Elizabeth T... My goodness girl, I'm sorry that you don't enjoy your job or working with people, but maybe just try faking it a bit for your customers. I went through the drive through and she snapped the tray back so fast after I took my prescription out. I nearly lost some fingers! Ha! I (used to after today) come here all the time. The WORST customer service of any locations I've been too. Pharmacy obviously hates their jobs, no one is ever available at photo, and the lady at the register today refused to sell me cough drops because i have a pass port instead of photo ID. Last i checked you didn't need to be carded for cough drops. Save yourself the trouble and don't go here. read more

I get told the registers are now closed and he can't help me. I advise I don't have copays for my refill where I was notified it was ready. He still wouldn't help me. Whoever the cashier was was rude to my aunt and I. We came in to grab some laundry pods. We got it and went up to the register and the cashier started voiding every individual item from a precious transaction. I felt awkward because a line was beginning to form so I asked if he could just have that whole transaction voided. He looked at me but ignored me so I asked again and he said some stuff under his breath that I couldn't hear. He didn't seem to understand what I meant so I asked again and he just said I wasn't gonna pay for anything. I was confused so I just tried to ask again if he could have it voided because we just wanted the pods. He snapped at me saying he couldn't because he wasn't a manager so I asked if he could get one because doing that seemed like it wouldn't take as long as we were waiting for him to finish voiding that previous transaction. Because the line had gotten so long a manager hopped on the other register and he just snapped again saying "There's my manager if you wanna speak to her." I was gonna grab my laundry pods and just go to her so he could finish voiding the transaction but he just opened a bag aggressively and threw the laundry pods in. He tried to finish the transaction without even letting me put my rewards number in. I get having rough nights with customers but I wasn't even trying to be rude about anything and I don't think I came off as rude and his actions and the way he spoke to my aunt and I felt so unnecessary. Don't think I'll be coming back to this one anytime soon even though the other staff I've interacted with has been pretty chill and have even made me laugh. read more

This Walgreens is A-OK! I love that this store is so close to me and open pretty late by Utah standards. Find all my last minute random needs conveniently located on the corner of 7200! List of random things I willl admit to running over to Walgreen's for: a gallon of milk, Dove deodorant, sugar free Jell-O, Zicam, Emergen-C, NyQuil, 0 calorie Sparkling water, saltine crackers, gift bags, birthday/holiday cards, shampoo, random candy cravings... this list keeps going... Expect to pay more than you would from a Walmart run or Costco trip, but I guess well just chalk it up to a convenience fee. When you don't feel like driving all the way to Walmart or Costco, dealing with the parking and people I thank the HEAVENS that Walgreen's is right next door for all my unforeseen needs! read more

I paid them a visit today to pick up a prescription and decided to get a drink and snack to have my day ruined by Rich and the manager who think its okay to talk to people rudely. I expressed to the manager that the cashier Rich really needed to check the way he talks to people and she said, " well he's been here for 12 hours". Look no one cares. Everyone needs a go-to store. You know the story...it's late...you're already in your comfy night clothes, you only need one thing (usually ice cream for a late night binge) and the grocery store is at LEAST 5 miles away and requires so much WALKING. Well, this Walgreens is my go-to. It's right down the street and stocked with most of those grab-and-go type items. True, you often pay a pretty penny for that relative convenience, but sometimes it's just worth it. I have never used the photo lab or pharmacy, but they are there too. The employees at this location seem to have no qualms about yelling to and at each other through the store, which is rather humorous. And one checker led me through a whole series of plan parenthood questions in the 30 seconds it took to scan my gummy bears and milk! So, beware of the chatty ones, unless you're looking for some deep late night conversations. I don't know if Walgreens already has a slogan but here's a suggestion: "We have stuff...it's just right here...so come and buy it!" read more

Went here for prescriptions, i was told 30-40 minutes before it would be ready. I asked that they text me when my prescription was ready so i could just go home and return after. I didn't get that text for over an hour and a half so i then just showed up and asked how long until it would be finished. I was told a few minutes. I sat there and waited for another 20 minutes before my prescriptions were ready. Will not be returning there to get my prescriptions. read more

This pharmacy is TERRIBLE!! My main complaint is they are WAY TOO SLOW!!! The pharmacy employees move like they're under water and they seem as interested in providing me good service as a vegetarian is in polishing off a t-bone steak. What is it about Walgreens and the weirdo customers? There is always some twitching crack head licking her lips every two seconds or some guy with a beer gut hanging out of his shirt that's three sizes too small. Sure, Walgreens can't control their customers wardrobes, personal hygiene or bad habits, but with this type of clientele I'm really surprised there isn't a people of Walgreens website competing with peopleofwalmart.com. Seriously the service is SO SLOW! Even when there are no cars in the drive through, they take an unreasonably long time to even take my prescription through the window. They always want 2 hours or more to fill my prescription and even when I've got the time to be cool with that it's not always ready when I am back three to four hours later. But, there is much more to Walgreens than their pharmacy. As for the store in general, you gotta love the "As seen on TV" section. Yoshi Blade, check. Robo stir, check. Grill Daddy Pro, check. Look at all the cool stuff! Ever need a neon pink shirt that says New Mexico? How about a pair of $0.99 flip flop sandals? Who needs a swap meet when you have a Walgreens in your neighborhood! Gotta love their Walgreen medicine line too. The names of their medicines are catchy, to say the least. I use the generics and with fun names like Waldryl I end up forgetting all about silly old Benadryl. With the money I save I may pick up another item in the "As seen on TV section." Getting back to the Pharmacy, they need to get their act together big time. That's all I have to say about that. read more

I'm a little bit embarrassed about how often I stop by this Walgreens. It's so stinkin' convenient, I find myself stopping in for things a few times a week. Their pharmacists are excellent, and they seem to process refills and prescription transfers much faster than the average pharmacy. They have a drive-thru Pharmacy window, which it makes it easier to get your meds. read more

I stood there for 20 minutes at the photo counter while waiting for an employee to help me. There was a very bossy female employee helping a older customer trying to upload photos to be printed. She saw and ignored another customer and I. The other employee, he seemed to be new, came over and tried to help and she brushed him off and told him she would deal with us and told him to continue stocking. Then she finally helped us and I waited another 10 minutes for her to print the passport picture she had just taken. While all this was happening there was another customer trying to check out who was ignored and not helped. She yelled from the opposite side of the store "I'll be there in a minute" the customer left not getting what he needed. This store needs more employees and a staff that doesn't make you feel that you are bothering them. read more

Every time I go to pick up my prescriptions it takes them at the very least a week because there is always an issue, which I'm fine with but, they won't call my dr and when he will personally call them they won't ever get back to him... I had to call back and forth for over 3 hours one day, and they (the pharmaCy) were being extremely difficult to work with.. and every time they would say they will talk to the dr they say it'll take a few days and I waiting patiently for a few days and every time I call they some how find new excuses of why they haven't reached out... we switched pharmacies and it was filled the same day... it would be fine if it were a one time thing... This Walgreens is nice. Went in for some basic stationary needs and left a satisfied customer. Sometimes I forget that pharmacies (even though I've worked in them for almost a third of my life) are for more than just drugs or health needs. Makeup, school/office supplies, food, candy, first aid, photo, some clothing and (sadly) tobacco needs. It was convenient for me to go here since I was in the area instead of going all the way to Wal-mart or doubling back to Target. So if anything, at least the day I went, it won a convenience badge in my book. read more
