Although I've decided that the McDiet Coke from McDonald's is the best, the Diet Coke at Hart's is close second. I have this very specific blend of my Coke cocktail, and it comes out perfect at this Harts. Have you noticed a lot of gas stations don't have very good syrup to put in their fountain drinks? You squirt in some vanilla syrup, and it's just sticky brown water? Or the cherry syrup is factory rejected cough syrup? Not at Hart's! The cups have cute hearts printed on them, and the lid is red - it's just a little detail but it makes my 52oz vats of carbonated goodness a little happier. The donuts there are also great - double chocolate Dunford Donuts that are so fresh, the icing is still soft and gooey. As I walk up to the register, I catch up on the morning gossip with the sweet and chatty ladies up front. They're so friendly, and I think they've given me a personal compliment every time I come to the register. I think I might be as addicted to that attention as the drink I'm purchasing. My main complaint about Hart's is the location and parking. The gas pumps are on the diagonal, and in the mornings the parking lot is a mad mess of cars and delivery trucks. It can be tough to get back onto westbound 7200 South to the freeway.

Harmons is nearby if you need more than a few basics, but you're dealing with grocery store size and breadth so it's not quite as convenient. If it's the gasoline you're after, it may be better to run to the Harmons Fuel Stop to the north, especially if you're a Harmons regular and have a fuel discount ticket from your last purchase. The only reason we ever ventured here was the pharmacy. But that has become an even worse issue than the messy shelves. They will randomly and abruptly close down for the day. Not the known 30 minute lunch break, but random closings of hours to days. I will get texts saying my Rx is ready just to find they've not begun to fill it. Having bad customer service is obviously bad for employee morale and the quality of their customer service has likewise plummeted. It's just not a pleasant place to shop at all. She didn't seem to speak very good English. Later, I went to the drive through and was told by Jason that it wasn't ready yet and that it would take about ten minutes. He requested I pull through the drive through and come back later. I looked around the two stalls and found that me and one other car were in the drive through the other car in the other lane). I indicated that as long as there wasn't anyone waiting behind me I would like to wait where I was. He got really rude and told me that as long as I didn't move he would not help the next person sitting at the window. I explained that I was the only car in my lane and that if someone pulled in I would be glad to move for them. He refused and repeated that he wouldn't help the next person in the other drive through line until I moved. I couldn't believe his attitude since I myself have waited behind other cars for sometimes as long as 30 minutes. He then informed me that the prescription would now somehow take longer and that I should just leave. I checked the price my insurance company was paying and it was $5.00. These people charged me $11.00 for the same prescription. I will not be sending anymore prescriptions to this pharmacy - they don't seem to have it together enough to properly do business and don't seem to be governed by common sense.

Was there anything before Netflix? How did life happen before streaming? I'll tell you what I have streamed, and that's a Slurpee (see what I did there?). Why are they good? And by good I mean awful. And by awful, I mean, are they actually good? There's something perfectly nostalgic about a wild cherry Slurpee, and whenever I get a hankering, I come to 7-11. And that's about once every 5 years. Unfortunately, last time I came here they weren't very prepared and I remembered that they have a 7-11 on 7200 now (maybe it's been there forever, I don't really recall) and it seems to be a bit more Slurpee-ready and customer friendly. This spot seems to be a little less shiny and a little less cared for, but there are far worse in the area, so it's a suitable SEV if you need one.

I told the clerk who said they had no washing stuff. He was completely indifferent, with no indication from him that it was a problem or that it would ever be fixed. It's all displayed behind a case, you ask the butcher to weigh the amount you're looking for, then it's bagged and tied up. I got a pound of the marinated flap steak to grill for tacos - it's absolutely amazing! The produce section is a bit limited, but there is plenty of what is needed for Mexican and Central American cuisine; Roma tomatoes, aloe vera, cilantro, radishes, peppers, limes, green onions, yellow and white onions, key limes, etc. Every lime I touched was the perfect ripeness, a very different experience than most other stores' citrus selections. There were many different sizes of corn and flour tortillas, some were crispy, some were made from blue corn, big bags, small bags. I loved the drink selection here of Mexican beers, aloe drinks, yogurt and fruit drinks, etc. There are a few aisles of dry and canned goods, pastas, beans, cooking oils, chips, masa, lots of Mexican sweets, shampoo, household cleaning items. I noticed this market has an awesome hot sauce and spice selection right next to the meat counter, you could probably read bottles for 30 minutes and still have more to see. I found some excellent freshly made unlabeled salsa in a fridge by the check out (very tasty, very spicy!), some baked goods, and a selection of tortilla presses and other cooking implements by the entrance.
