Thank you for being open on Christmas! It was great to get my necessities and they offered to make hot fresh food. Very very good!

Seriously. Free air. My heart was broken when the air hose was broken on the day I needed it. I had…read moreto pay 75 cents to fill up in that slow leak that's going on. The leak has not been fixed. The hose has. And today they were again there when I needed them. They've also provided a nice ice stop when it was time to ice up on the way to an event or something. Right there by the onramp. Perfect.

If I told you I was a Cokehead, would you judge me? Hart's is my current favorite place to get my…read morefix. I've been on the hunt for the best fountain Diet Coke and Coke Zero in the Salt Lake Valley. Although I've decided that the McDiet Coke from McDonald's is the best, the Diet Coke at Hart's is close second. I have this very specific blend of my Coke cocktail, and it comes out perfect at this Harts. Have you noticed a lot of gas stations don't have very good syrup to put in their fountain drinks? You squirt in some vanilla syrup, and it's just sticky brown water? Or the cherry syrup is factory rejected cough syrup? Not at Hart's! The cups have cute hearts printed on them, and the lid is red - it's just a little detail but it makes my 52oz vats of carbonated goodness a little happier. The donuts there are also great - double chocolate Dunford Donuts that are so fresh, the icing is still soft and gooey. As I walk up to the register, I catch up on the morning gossip with the sweet and chatty ladies up front. They're so friendly, and I think they've given me a personal compliment every time I come to the register. I think I might be as addicted to that attention as the drink I'm purchasing. My main complaint about Hart's is the location and parking. The gas pumps are on the diagonal, and in the mornings the parking lot is a mad mess of cars and delivery trucks. It can be tough to get back onto westbound 7200 South to the freeway.

So all these years I have been buying the $12 Supreme car was when I noticed today that the only…read moredifference between the $12 car was and the $9 car was is a $3 towel. Well it's to late to cancel I'm almost done pumping gas. When I got done pumping gas, and got my receipt for the car wash code, I went inside to get my $3 towel. What they handed me was marked $1. I'm to tired to play charades with someone who doesn't speak English, so I sucked up the loss of the $2 and grabbed my towel, and proceeded to the actual car wash. Lesson learned. Read the fine print. Wouldn't you know it and now it is raining on my car! Karma I guess... (I will now only get the $9 car wash)

Although there's a rumor going around town that I'm on a quest to yelp every single gas station in…read moreSalt Lake County, the truth is that I'm still at this Holiday more than an other fuel stop around. They haven't spent the last year since my original review refurbishing the place. It still squats there on State Street. But you can't beat the Redbox/Carwash comobo for convenience. On a recent late night we arrived home from a long road trip and a day of familial nuptuals and needed to stop off to buy a loaf of bread. Sure as shootin' they we got the last loaf of butter-top what goodness from the shelf. Granted, it was priced (per ounce) the same as raw tungsten ore, but they had it there. Oh, and I can neither confirm nor deny my gas station yelping quest. Although I do find it handy to read gas station reviews when I'm out looking for a place to fill up, so any kind of love I can pay forward to the petroleum gods, I certainly do.
