I had to pick up a supplement to my prescription at Walgreens where I have been getting my prescriptions for a few years now. It took me several minutes for the pharmacist to understand that I knew I would have to pay for it and that insurance would not - but that I wanted to fill it anyway. She didn't seem to speak very good English. Later, I went to the drive through and was told by Jason that it wasn't ready yet and that it would take about ten minutes. He requested I pull through the drive through and come back later. I looked around the two stalls and found that me and one other car were in the drive through the other car in the other lane). I indicated that as long as there wasn't anyone waiting behind me I would like to wait where I was. He got really rude and told me that as long as I didn't move he would not help the next person sitting at the window. I explained that I was the only car in my lane and that if someone pulled in I would be glad to move for them. He refused and repeated that he wouldn't help the next person in the other drive through line until I moved. I couldn't believe his attitude since I myself have waited behind other cars for sometimes as long as 30 minutes. He then informed me that the prescription would now somehow take longer and that I should just leave. I checked the price my insurance company was paying and it was $5.00. These people charged me $11.00 for the same prescription. I will not be sending anymore prescriptions to this pharmacy - they don't seem to have it together enough to properly do business and don't seem to be governed by common sense. read more

This review is for the pharmacy specifically. I have been here several times and their customer service is absolutely garbage. No matter who I encounter. It's a pharmacy. People are coming here to get medication that they need because they are somehow affected by something. The lack of empathy and rudeness is ridiculous. My final straw was yesterday. I pulled up to pick up my medication and pressed the call button as no one was at the window. An employee (middle aged/older Asian woman - unsure of her title) comes on the intercom to tell me they are notified when someone pulls up so I didn't need to press the call button and she'll be with me when she's done with a patient. For starters, there's no sign in view that says to not press the call button. She also could have saved the story time for someone that allows her to put signs up. It was unnecessary to say that when there's no sign. Also, when she did help me, it sounded as if she was so far from the intercom that I could barely hear her. When she came to give me my medication, she put it in the box and pushed it out and didn't say anything. No thank you or have a good night or anything that would conclude our exchange. I'll be looking for another location to go to as I don't need the attitude. If you're having a bad day, choose to minimize your interaction with people or do something else for your profession. If you cannot be cordial at the very least, don't be in a position that has you interacting with people. read more

Wife was in line just before 10 PM thinking it was open all night. As the car in front of her pulled out, the lady at the window informed her that they were closed, even though their website indicated that they were open all night. The next morning the pharmacist (who could barely speak English) again rudely walked away when she was confronted by what had happened. The people running this Walgreens are heartless, rude and unprofessional. In the future, we will avoid during business there at all costs. You should too. read more

We had one of the worst retail pharmacy experiences I can remember here yesterday. My wife and I were told her Rx was over $300 in the drive through. We circled around to check GoodRx app and found a coupon bringing the price down to $20. I walked in and spoke with the same woman who wasn't helpful in the drive through. Her name was Kathy. She smirked at me and said sorry, we're closed. It was exactly 1:30. I asked if she remembered me from the drive through 90 seconds ago. She just shrugged and pointed at the clock. I work in a service industry. Unacceptable. We went back after their lunch break (which wasn't posted on their hours sheet at the counter) and my wife was treated like she was trying to scam the system for drugs she wasn't entitled to. After an hour and Kathy talking crap (she doesn't have insurance, she said to the pharmacist) we finally got our Rx. Needless to say we have transferred the prescription and won't ever go back to this terrible pharmacy. read more

I have been with this pharmacy for quite some time. Usually no issues. Unless the younger female with red hair is involved. I'm not sure if it's possible for her to be any more rude, but it's certainly something that I suppose she could strive for. Because friendliness and good customer service certainly isn't her goal. If ever I am in danger of having a good day I will just visit this pharmacy and interact with her for 30 seconds. Anyone know if I can get a Walgreens referral and discount to speak with a therapist because of her? All kidding aside. If I wasn't raising a little girl of my own, I would say that this woman is a flat out raging b***h. I cannot stand her. She is condescending and blatantly rude. Hey Walgreens, what's the point of having express pass when the employee had no idea what it was, and had me tell him the name of my medication instead of just asking my name/DOB? I wasn't at the store, but peter, a pharmacy tech I believe, was witness to our car accident today where my car was totaled. He jumped into the busy redwood road, made sure my kids and I were safe and brought us to the side of the road to safety as well. He then left his expensive water bottle with us so we could have cold water while we were waiting for emergency services, and left some of his trinkets that he had in his bag to entertain and calm down my 4 year old, and got on the next bus so he could get right to his shift at work. This is the best I can do with the limited info I know about him, but he was our hero today. I thank God for people like Peter. read more

I called late in the evening for a patient, with urgent medications, the pharmacist was rude, dismissive and honestly demeaning. She hung up on me before I could fill the second medication I was calling in, and I was then put on hold for 20 minutes waiting to be on a completely unnecessary second phone call. I do not recommend this pharmacy if you have ANY other choice. read more

DO NOT GET EXPRESS PASS I downloaded the express pass thinking that I'd get through the line quicker. I was VERY wrong. Not only did they help 4 other customers before me, they told me, I had to wait in line like everyone else. This was after having waited patiently as 3 new people lined up. 7 customers later, I'm finally helped for a pick up. They didn't even know what the express pass was ‍ I told them I paid already, and they were confused and tried to tell me I had to pay again. After teaching them how their own express worked, they finally figured it out. Walgreens must not keep their employees up to date with their own rewards program, how disappointing. read more

This is the worst Walgreens Pharmacy I've ever gone to. They are either ridiculously understaffed or they don't care about their jobs. I've been in the drive-through for well over 10 minutes while only one car was in front of me at the window. I've spent over 20 minutes on hold at times with no response just constantly picking up and getting placed right back on hold. Take your medication needs elsewhere if you can. I am on permanent hold they have re put my call back on hold 12 times and it's been 45 minutes. ( oh they just hung up on me again ) Seriously the customer service is shit, I watched the night pharm try to keep his eyes open for 1 hour while I waited, which I happen to be at the store 1030 am- 545pm with no resolve from Matthew the pharmacist. He refused REFUSED to fill my script after I waited all day for my dr. To send it in digitally- it was sent in because the dr got confirm back that they had it. When I asked him about it, he lied to me and said he never spoke with my dr office ( lie, so he didn't want to fill my rx) this will go higher than I cAn go, I was treated terribly all while the dr office was on the line listening ! Good job Matthew ! They knew I had been there all day they knew they had my scripts and I live out of state so now I drive home in the dark and my dr will be speaking to them in the -am. This guy needs a new job, he walked away from our conversation 2times because he knew that I knew he was lying. Thanks for such sweet customer service dude . What sets this Walgreens apart from others? Well, if you don't count the exterior, than I think "very little" is the appropriate answer. It's got stuff. It's a pharmacy. It's got some nice stuff and some really wacky imported cheap stuff. Beauty supplies. Some snacks. And everything else you'd expect. So if you do count the exterior, it's got snazzy landscaping with the flagstone ornamental grasses and such. Plus there's plenty of parking and it's pretty darned convenient there on the corner of 78th and Redwood. Big bonus for late hours (24-hours?) as well. More than once in my life I've needed a late-night Sudafed or ibuprofen run and Walgreens usually wins the battle over the other Wal- in town. read more

I dropped a roll of film off at this location on 8/4/2021 to be developed. I was advised it would take 2 weeks to return. I checked back 2 weeks later as told and it was delayed. I called a week later-still not there but they would call the developer to check on it and call me...nothing. It has now been 4 weeks and still "delayed" and still no calls as to when it should arrive. They blamed it on covid and the weather (apparently it is send to Rhode Island). This is a roll of film from before my son died and I'm really looking forward to seeing these pictures if they ever get here. I struggled to leave the film there and now I understand why. My suggestion: take your film elsewhere. Anywhere but here if you want to see it again. read more

Pharmacy was awful. I came through at 12:45 after being at the ER with my daughter all night. I used the drive through as I had my sick sleeping daughter in the car. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. I pulled through and parked in an attempt to be a decent human being so that if someone came through who didn't have to drop off and wait and was just picking up they could. 20 minutes go by and I pull around, getting in behind another car. Unfortunately that person didn't want to be a decent human being and dropped of her prescription and then quite literally parked to wait in the drive through. Fortunately there were two lanes for the drive through, with a big sign saying "Both Lanes Open". So I pull into the second lane and hit the button. A man with an accent answered and quipped "there are people ahead of you, a car and four inside" and then hung up. Not wanting to wait the hour or so longer the automated message told me it would me, I called through where the pharmacist again told me he couldn't help me yet. I (luckily?) stopped him from hanging up on me again to ask if I could speak to someone else (since he was busy) as all I wanted was the prescription paper back so I could go somewhere else. Mind you, it's now 1:20 in the morning. He started yelling at me about waiting my turn and not using profanity (yes, when he claimed to be he only person in the Walgreens I responded snidely "really? There's no one else in that whole damn store?") and refusing to give me back my daughter's prescription. I'm tired, she's tired and has pneumonia, and all I want to do at this point is leave, but she needs this medicine to take first thing in the morning and so I'm being held hostage by this lunatic with a power trip. And I lost it, I yelled that I didn't care about the other people, that I was told it would be 20 minutes, it was now nearly 40 minutes later and he was telling me all these people who came after me would be helped first simply because I didn't park at the window. I demanded the prescription paper back saying all I wanted to do was go somewhere else so I could take my sick daughter home. Suddenly he says something about not knowing it was for my kid in the car, and that now he was going to fill it and run it out to me. AND THEN HE HANGS UP ON ME AGAIN My daughter is now crying and between coughing fits asking if we can just go home. And honestly maybe I should have, and tried to get the doctor to call in a new prescription somewhere else...but I was desperate to get her the medicine she needed. So I call back, but tell the automated system I had a photo question, got a very nice guy on the phone who immediately got me the manager (so much for being all alone in the store you lying sociopath). The manager was very apologetic, and went to talk to the pharmacist, who magically was insisting he was trying to give me the medicine but I was ignoring him (!!!) she passed it through to me and waived my copay charge "for the inconvenience". I left the pharmacy almost an hour after I got there with my "20 min" fill. Long story short(er) I will never use this Walgreens again, and likely will never use any Walgreens again, especially considering there's a CVS right across the street. The pharmacist was either completely inept or on a power trip...and either way lacked the basic customer service skill called "listening". I would advice you avoid this place like the plague. Meanwhile, I'm eyeing my daughter's prescription and praying he mixed it correctly in his haste to prove to the manager that he'd been trying to help. read more

We have had problems with this pharmacy every time we have tried to fill an insulin perscription for the past 6 months, each problem has been different because of insurance or other issues. This time they used an old perscription and did not give us enough for the required 30 day supply. When questioned they said it was the only perscription available. When I told them they had a new perscription issued in August, they said they couldn't find it. They finally found that in fact they had filled the new perscription, but they had made a mistake. Then they changed their mind, it was not a mistake, they had given us the new perscription free. The manager, Sunny, was very rude and not the least bit helpful she actually told me to go across the street to CVS. Guess where I am going from now on. I requested to talk to her supervisor, she told me she was the boss and if I wanted to talk to someone else I would have to find that information on my own. 1/5/2019 Wish I could give negative stars! I sat on hold for over 47 minutes! No kidding I drove from Tooele out here to pick up a Rx for my mom, they FINALLY answered the phone to say it had been awhile since they checked the dr. Voicemail so I would have to wait, figured while I was waiting I'd go up to the window and give them the insurance card, 15-20 minutes of sitting at the window they input the insurance info and inform me the Rx would be ready in 45-50 minutes!!! So here I sit, wasting more gas cause it's cold outside and I want the heat, every time I come here and the oriental lady is the pharmacist she's really rude and extremely slow! We're not even talking a full Rx, we're talking about 5 little pills my mom needs for her Fibermyalgia until she can be seen by the doctor next Tuesday, I always dread coming here, everyone I've talked to in the past has dreaded it too, the pharmacy staff are jerks, no one is friendly at all, they just want people to go away, if your lucky enough to get a staff member that you can actually understand consider yourself lucky! 99% of the time I get some foreigner I can't even understand because there talking way too fast! the staff is so rude. i live in draper but work late, so i requested my prescription to this location so i could grab them after work, mind you, 8 hours before i intended to pick them up. i got off at 1am and called to check if they were ready before i drove all the way there. the pharmacy employee on the phone kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me explain what i was calling for, and then informed me that i couldn't pick up the meds until the morning. literally what is the point of being 24 hours then???? i'll never ever use this location again. i'd rather drive to provo. read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy for over four years now. This being said, there are some things that should be clarified regarding some of the previous comments made on here: 1. There are absolutely no racist policies in place for this Walgreens, or any Walgreens for that matter. In fact, there are Hispanic employees who work here, both in the front of the store and in the pharmacy. There are also Asian and African-American employees as well. Anyone with the temerity to accuse this establishment of racism is simply a marshmallow who pulled the race card because they didn't get what they wanted. 2. If you come to the pharmacy late at night (or weekend evenings, early mornings, or holidays), then do not be surprised if there is a wait. Chances are, you're only there because most other pharmacies are closed. The pharmacy at CVS across the street isn't even open 24 hours (though the store itself is). If you come late at night (midnight or later) to fill a prescription, then anticipate a wait. The pharmacy is often busy because many people come in trying to fill post-dated prescriptions (prescriptions that are written to be filled on a specific date), though you may get lucky and only have to wait about 15-20 minutes. 3. This fill policy for controlled substances at this Walgreens is 90%. This means you must wait until 90% of your previous fill is gone before they will refill it for you based off the last day supply picked up. For example, if you last picked up a 30 day supply, they will refill your prescription 27 days from the date of the previous fill (27 is 90% of 30). Just because your doctor writes on your prescription that it is okay to fill on a particular date, this does NOT mean the pharmacy must fill it for you. Just like at any other pharmacy, if the pharmacist on duty is not comfortable filling your prescription without more information from your doctor, they have the right to refuse filling your prescription immediately (and yes, this is completely legal). In fact, Walgreens will more than likely side with the pharmacist on this argument. They would rather have proper documentation on file than increase the risk of potential lawsuits or risk failing an audit. When all is said and done, I am not stating this Walgreens or its staff is perfect. I will also admit that the wait at the pharmacy can be hindersome at times and the staff may come off as rude (but who isn't at times?). My overall experience here over the years has been great. If any of the employees are reading this, I'd like to say THANK YOU for your hard work and I will continue to be a patron here. read more

I've never been treated so awful in my life. I needed to fill an rx before catching​ a fight, so I stopped in with rx in hand dated TO FILL 5/30 and start 5/31 (as my doctor​ knew I was going out of town.) - The pharmacy tech would NOT fill my rx. She said "you should still have a day left." I told her I did, but I was on my way to the airport. She then responded with "our policy​ requires your rx to be 90% gone before filling." I responded "considering my doctor​ dated my rx to be filled, your policy​, that math and the fact that it 2:00am, you shouldn't have any problems filling this medicine." She rudely said she wouldn't fill it. I asked "can I see your policy?" She then responded with "Please leave or I am calling the police." - I caught my flight and filled out of state. NEVER AGAIN. I don't understand how the pharmacy drive thru takes so long. I waited over 45 minutes for the 8 cars in front of me to even start moving. I LEFT. Came back another night hoping to not spend the evening there....well 1hr!!!!!!!! Later I atleast got to be up at the window waiting to get help. Seriously need an explanation. If people are having insurance issues or refill isn't ready, why aren't you having them come inside or come back?? Wtf is a drive through even for. I did feel kind bad to the guy because I put the chair in front of counter and resting with my eye closed after 20 minutes of waiting. I would never recommend this Walgreens. The patient care there is non-existent. They have messed up my prescriptions multiple times. The first time I went to fill a prescription was for a medication while I was in the middle of having a miscarriage. They said they could not process my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket--they were very rude about this too. I paid for the meds and when I was feeling better I reached out to my insurance and they said that the request had been submitted but that Walgreens kept cancelling the request. I have had multiple other prescription issues. This last issue has been the tipping point for me--I was trying to fill a prescription that has always cost $8 and now suddenly it costs $114. I asked why and they said it was because my deductible was being applied... which it should ALWAYS be applied and asked why it was any different. They said I would have to reach out to my insurance. I reached out to my insurance and it is because they were trying to fill a prescription that is taken ONCE A WEEK for EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! I have now been on hold for 30 minutes to have them make the adjustment and they know it is me and keep hanging up on me (I have been frustrated with them, but never yelled or anything) they answered and knew it was me because they addressed me by name and then told me to hold. They keep picking up and then I have heard an employee multiple times say: "aaaaaand hanging up again." I'm really discussed. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

Don't visit this pharmacy. They are slow and the customer service is mediocre at best. I waited in the drive through line for 15 minutes to talk to someone, and then waited another 15 minutes at the window, only to be told that I'd have to "circle around again" and wait in the atrocious line for another 30 minutes because my prescription wasn't ready yet. And even better, it was an Rx for antibiotic eye drops - nothing too crazy if you ask me - and the prescription was sent over three hours before I got to the pharmacy. I wish I could give it a 0. It was the Friday before the Labor Day weekend at 8:45 p.m. when my dentist called in a prescription. I went to pick it up at nearly 10 p.m. and was told they had not received the prescription yet. I had to call my doctor who in turn had to call the pharmacy. I could hear the conversation as the tech told the dentist that "oh, I don't have the authority to check voice mail." Excuse me? You make me call the doctor because you are too lazy to do your job and actually get the voice mail? I was the only customer at the time. There were three pharmacists in the back in addition to the tech at the counter. As I waited on hold with my doctor, I heard him tell her that yes, it was there. He then proceeded to hold my prescription, after it had been filled, off to the side until nearly 11 p.m. Every other customer who came in was helped before I was. Another tech came in and tried to pick up my prescription and was told it was already taken care of. His language when dealing with someone who asked a question was vulgar and rude. I'm not sure if he thought no one could hear or if he just didn't care. I suspect the latter. IMHO, this man is not fit to work with the public. Especially at an all night pharmacy where he can hold people hostage because of his sick attitude and laziness. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. I got a message that the pharmacy was trying to bill insurance I did not have anymore. I had asked multiple people multiple times to take that insurance off my profile so this would stop happening. I tried to call, but of course they kept picking up and putting me on hold. I called the store. The manager answered and said he went back there, and they were too busy to answer the phone. I needed 20 seconds to tell them to bill good rx instead. Now I have to go there, wait in a huge line to tell them to stop billing my old insurance, wait 30 minutes (at least) for it to be filled, wait in a long line again to pick it up. A 20 second phone call could save me at least an hour of wasted time, but even the store manager doesn't care. He told me sorry they're too busy to talk after I explained all of that. Ridiculous. Obviously, NOT a single person there thinks customers are important at all. read more
