This place is in a such a nondescript mall that it can easily overlooked. The place looks very hip and the space is designed really well. I walked in at 09:20 and there was already a line. Luckily an employee approached me and directed me to another cashier, I was standing on food line. I just wanted to taste their coffee and morning muffins. I was serviced immediately and got my order in 10 minutes. I did not see a size for latte coffee so I got a regular size. My first taste, I thought this was really watered down, but no the coffee was very smooth, well balanced and nutty, that's how coffee should be. I was not offered a choice of milk. However this was really good, not like the acidic cheap Starbucks coffee, most Starbucks customers do not know coffee, or how good coffee should taste. I ordered a blue berry muffin, it was moist and delicious. You got my thumbs up, I will be back. read more

Lola's Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

Real cute cafe in Ladera Ranch. Loved their organic and fresh items. We had the vegan wrap and it was delicious.

Edit: I had rated this place initially at two stars. Then, after speaking with the owner/manager, I bumped it up to three, which I felt is fair. He comped us a pastry, which was a very nice gesture. However, later on, he comes out and tells me how it's wrong that it I gave him only three stars despite the complimentary pastry. Doing that was very uncalled for and unprofessional. Clearly he's having a rough day, but there's no need to do that. Not sure what purpose that served. I hope he can find a better way to manage his staff and get them to work with more urgency. Very good food and selection. However, their outside area falls very short of the rest of the experience. Too few tables to begin with, but more so, they're not clean nor does anyone come out to clean them when other patrons leave. It's understandable that it takes time to clean during peak hours, but they're far too slow. They also need a better system for seating people outside, as first come, first served doesn't seem to be working too well. Hopefully they can address this shortcoming, as the rest of their efforts are well placed. read more

Awesome coffee, great food, excellent service!!! This is a wonderful place to relax for coffee or lunch with friends.

I love Lola's cafe. The coffee is delicious and I love the avocado toast. It's the best avocado toast I have ever tried.

As a lifelong restaurant industry veteran, I can tell you Lola's is top notch in every respect. It starts with the owners who are a local couple committed to top notch ingredients, amazing service and being a part of the Ladera Ranch community. I recently relocated my family to LR from the Bay Area and stumbled on this gem. Great coffee, great food in a relaxed cafe setting. read more

You have to try their breakfast burrito! Sweet potato hash browns are gonna be the next big thing.

I waited over 15 minutes for my $7 SMALL latte. Should of gone to Starbucks. For the amount they charge for food and drinks service should be way better read more

Always love coming here. Food is always great and the employees are all very nice and accommodating

Great spot for unique coffee and delicious breakfast in a cute, rustic, hip ladera ranch location! Honey vanilla latte, lavender latte, vanilla almond Gibraltar to name a few. Do not miss the egg and avo smash sandwich. (add turkey bacon) for an unbeatable breakfast sandwich!! Prices are on the higher side but worth it for high end, fresh ingredients. Great service make this a top notch experience! They serve lunch as well til 230pm. read more

Lola's is one of my favorite places to go when I know I want an excellent meal and a casual atmosphere. The staff there is wonderful and so kind, and really try to interact with their customers to show that they care. The food is so fresh and obviously made with care. I would definitely recommend the grilled cheese with Brie and apples, it's to die for! There are also a slew of gluten free options which is so convenient because most restaurants don't and I have to settle for getting my sandwich lettuce wrapped which isn't as satisfying. :/ I always suggest Lola's to anyone who's looking for a great cafe in the area and am proud to call myself a regular customer! read more

Stumbled upon this place attending my daughter's volleyball tournament at the sports complex next door. I had the best brioche breakfast sandwich and coffee. We live in Los Angeles but I'm hoping we have more tournaments there so I can stop for breakfast or lunch here. What a gem! read more

Yum! The menu is full of healthy and tasty choices. The fig, Apple grilled cheese sandwich and caprese sandwich are great! The staff is friendly, prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting ! A+ and cannot wait to go back. read more

I'm a huge fan of Lola's. They have very fresh and premium ingredients in all they make. Small location that can get filled up quickly in the morning, so it does not make for a place to get a quick breakfast to go before work. The owner is incredibly friendly and talkative, and his staff are of the Starbucks quality (not Walmart Nightshift). Lola's does not have table servers, so you come in, place and order at the counter, and it will be dropped off at your table when ready. read more

Amazing food and atmosphere! Organic and fresh ingredients! Gluten free and dairy free options! The. Coffee is the closet to European coffee that I've found locally! Lola's feels like you have stopped in with your family for a bite to eat! A must for healthy food options in south OC! read more

So good! We stumbled upon the place while in town for kids sports and wow did we hit the jackpot! The line was longish, but moved quickly, and they told us the truth, that food would be 20-25 minutes. No problem! Not in a hurry on a Sunday morning and enjoyed the people watching. The food came out and it was fabulous!!! The french toast soufflé (obvious best seller) was sold out so we went with the breakfast burrito and the egg and avo smash...both were delish!!! Try this place out for sure!! read more

Owner and service at this place needs some serious help. Food is all pre-made, coffee refills are $1 and you can not substitute if you are trying to eat healthy. Meaning you can not get egg whites or ask for no cheese, etc. Overall the owner has zero people skills and needs some direction on customer service. He was attitude most of the time. read more

This is my favorite cafe whether it's for breakfast or lunch or just an afternoon pick me up. It's not a big place, but there is seating indoor & out. It has a casual French-country vibe. It gets crowded at the expected times. The menu is well thought-out with healthy options. The avo toast and lavender latte are delicious. I just can't quit them. Although, I've tried several other menu items and they've all been very good. A few of the breakfast type items are available all day. They have a nice assortment of baked goods. And I have not met one I didn't like. They're fresh and moist. Matt, the owner and his team are fun people who provide great service. The prices are on par for high quality food and service. If you're in the neighborhood definitely give them a try. read more

I have heard so many amazing things about this place and could not wait to finally try it! Now that I've been, I see what everyone has been saying because this place is awesome. The vibe of the cafe is very rustic and the presentation of the food is lovely. The service my friends and I had was the best(I loved how funny the cashier was) and the Tuscan Chicken sandwich and hot chocolate that I ordered were both really good. I'm definitely coming back again soon because I want to try more of their menu! Overall, I had a great first impression of Lola's. read more

Lola's Cafe - tuscan chicken sandwich and hot chocolate - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Ladera Ranch, California

Best breakfast spot around. This area does not have very many breakfast options and finding somewhere good with gluten free options is near impossible. So happy I found this place! It will be a weekly staple for me. read more

Wanted to try something new and found this cafe in Ladera. Reminds me of a San Francisco cafe, where I first tried Avocado Toast. I had the Icelandic breakfast. It was wonderful and filled me up so that I did not eat lunch. Loved this place and will go back. read more

I went for brunch and ordered an avocado toast. When my food arrived they brought me a breakfast sandwich, but I left the fact that they got my order wrong alone as they were extremely busy. The waiter then proceeded to bring out the avocado toast that I had ordered and realized that the kitchen had made a mistake. He kindly said that I could keep the sandwich, because I had already eaten it. A person who seemed to be the manager came out, took the sandwich away, and stated "if you ordered avocado toast then why would you eat something that's not what you ordered" in a very rude fashion. She then picked up the sandwich I was eating and took it away. The service was completely rude and I will not be dining here again. read more

Awesome and delicious! Had the Tuscan chicken and homemade pickles. Mike had the egg salad very good and not average was way above and very yummy! Love all the healthy selections. The owner Matthew introduced himself to us and we were very impressed with the service and warm atmosphere! We'll definitely be coming back! Thank you for making our visit very welcoming. The areas are very clean and the whole time not one single employee wasn't either working or cleaning in between helping customers. read more

Talk about a neighborhood hot spot. I've fallen in love with the almond milk latté, and especially the owner's very friendly and hands on presence at the front. The pastries are unique and and I'm looking forward to bringing my mom one of their delicious tuna sandwiches on Mother's Day. Ambiance, service, and quality are all here... read more

Best cup of coffee around. Friendly staff and good food. Worth the wait in line if there is one.

Lola's Cafe has great food and coffee. They serve both breakfast and lunch. Although they are a bit pricy, Lola's Cafe is worth it for the food and ambience. read more

Lola's Cafe delighted me with friendly faces, scrumptious food and smooth coffee. For this da, my companion chose a flat bread pizza topped with curried chicken. Of course I had to snatch a piece. It was a perfect accompaniment to my kale, Brussels sprouts and fig salad. To end the meal, we indulged in a ding ding sourced from CakeMonkey. All in all it was a delightful experience I look forward to repeating. I think I shall bring my mom on my next time. She'd relish the visit. read more

I would move into Lola's cafe if I could. The menu is filled with delectable eats and tasty beverages (lavender latte nom nom). The owners work in the cafe and do an amazing job to ensure that their customers are happy as ever. Indoor and outdoor seating is available :) read more

I found this place to be really good as far as the food goes. I tried the egg and turkey bacon sandwich and breakfast burrito. They were both really good! I think I'm leaning towards the breakfast burrito as my favorite. I will definitely come back to try the lunch as the sandwiches look pretty good. The French toast soufflé was sold out which was a bummer, but I was more than pleased with what I had. The place was still pretty busy at 10 am when I got there but died down a little around 10:30 on a Saturday. Seating was a little hard to come by but we were able to get a table before the food arrived. The service was nice too. read more

We frequently come to Lola's after discovering it a few months ago. We are always impressed by the friendly atmosphere, delicious food and overall great ambiance! The design and artwork are gorgeous and it's nice to sit outside on the patio. So happy to have Lola's in Ladera Ranch!! Our favorites are the vanilla honey lattes, lavender lattes and the avocado toast. Our 18 month old loves the egg sandwich! Will be back again soon! read more

Pros: much-needed independent restaurant serving a suburbia that is relentlessly pelted with corporate Big Food offerings; menu consists largely of healthy options and features quality ingredients; physical space is quaint and charming. Cons: high prices for small portions of shi-shi fare; small space was very cramped on a weekday - I bet this place gets ugly on weekends. Verdict: if you're looking for lighter, more nouveau style fare, this will be a homerun. If you skew toward pancakes with bacon and eggs, it might be best to look elsewhere. read more

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere! Totally recommend. The avocado toast was yummy!

Cute place to grab coffee and a snack! Their kitchen is open for breakfast 7-11am and for lunch from 11-2:30. If you come after, you can still get coffee and some of their pre-made snacks. The coffee is good and here are a few food items we like: avocado toast, lox mascrapone & french baguette, and the mixed berry flatbread. read more

love this place. Cozy and urban type setting. Food is delicious and plentiful

Lola's is really great, I've lived in the area for 6 months and Matthew the owner knew me by name here after my third visit. Finally some respectable food in Ladera! I moved here over a year ago and struggle with the lack of food options. I love this little cafe because it's super close to my house and offers a great, healthy menu. I love everything I've tried so far from the salads and sandwiches to the coffee. They even serve up a mimosa which is an added bonus. Highly recommend! read more

I understand sometimes the stars align for a perfect storm of "everything that can go wrong, will" and that's exactly what happened today when my mom and I visited my favorite Lola's. However, what could've been a terrible experience was handled with grace and fantastic customer service. They even comped one of the meals. We all have off days but what matters most is how we handle it. Thank you to Lola's for showing that you care about the customer. read more

Friendly staff delicious coffees and morning baked options, didn't know breakfast/ lunch was an option till after we purchased baked goods and coffees would've def tried some more of their new workable menu! Based on fellow yelpers posting pix of food the dishes look healthy clean and delish! Love the location close to local stop in stores the church and residences.
