Turns out they found another form of payment and thought it was okay to cut in line in front of us. In any case, we don't know what the owners have been through that day or what stupid people have been in there before us that may have caused a scene. We were in search of some souvenirs since we were vacationing in Monterey for the week. I had been in search for a backpack for some time that wasn't a cheap looking drawstring backpack. This place had exactly what I was looking for. I just love my back pack! This place also has your typical Monterey sweatshirts and teeshirts and other little Knick knacks. Also walking distance to hotels on Cannery Row. They have the best prices in cannery row by far in my opinion. I also thought the lady at the cash register was very pleasant and we chatted for a bit. Upon approach, it may seem that there isn't all that much to it, but once you're on the boardwalk, you realize that a lot of the good stuff is tucked away, a little out of sight, so exploration rewards the traveler. Apparently the aquarium here is also quite the draw, although we didn't pop in during our brief stay here. Lastly, the old Fisherman's Wharf, a little ways to the south-southeast, is almost an extension of all the things that make Cannery Row worth checking out: more shops, more restaurants, and more history. All together, one of the best attractions, and most exciting tourist destinations, in all of Monterey!
