A cute shop to pick up novelties and things to remember your visit to Monterey. This was my second time visiting this shop and the lovely owner was just as pleasant as I remember her. I last visited a few months ago to pick up a hoodie for my daughter to take back home. I saw a beautiful teal one and she loves it! The quality is good and I do believe it was on sale. If not, this shop does offer sales for those looking to buy something as a keepsake. If you are in the area, this is definitely a shop to check out for you and your loves one that want a souvenir. This store has a beautiful selection of shells and statues. I would have bought one but it was just out of my budget. The shells are priced fairly and there is a huge selection of them. The woman who helped me was kind and indulged in friendly conversation. I will be coming back if I return to Cannery Row in the future. read more

We have bought a few jackets from here in the past, and we absolutely love them! They are reversible with an otter emblem on the soft side. We got one in white, and one in black. The prices are amazing! If we went anywhere else, these would easily be $70 or more for each one, but here, they were under $30 each. The owner is a sweetheart and always working. We have been here 4 times, and each time we walk away with a great product at a great price. We will be shopping here again in the near future. read more

Typical touristy gift shop, but these sorts of places are always an essential part of our vacations. Wifey always loves to pick up magnets from wherever we go. She has quite a collection of them now, from all over the world. So now, she has two new magnets from Monterey. This store also had a great selection of t-shirts, hoodies, shot glasses, coffee cups, and other typical trinkets. One note... The place did smell a little funny, perhaps of incense. If this bothers you, then you should likely avoid and head for the place with the Pirate in front. read more

My boyfriend and I go to cannery row all the time and every time we go we always end up coming here. The owner of the store is super sweet and has the biggest heart. We usually end up buying crystal bracelets from her and they're always high quality and they're at a great price. We definitely recommend you coming here the next time you go to cannery row. My friend and I decided to tour Cannery Row on our Monterey visit. We looked at all the shops and the last one we went to was Kristonios and by far it was the best shop on the row!! The owner assisted me with the purchase of 2 reversible jackets for my grandson's and unknown to me the owner checked the zippers and felt it was a little sticky on one of them, now that is above and beyond service to her clients and I was so grateful... she ran upstairs and got another one! This is my favorite souvenir shop in Monterey, and has been there as long as I remember. I especially love their wall of seashells, and have to make sure I pick a couple up on my visit (though recently the shell prices have really increased). Most of their prices are very reasonable and the owner is super friendly. I see her every time I go and though I'm not sure she remembers me, she always acts like she does and like we're old friends! I've been to a lot of the shops on Cannery Row and the Wharf and this is still one of my most favorites. It's right across from the Aquarium, too, so I think the great location has always helped it, too. read more

This shop is the best on Canary Row. Every visit to Monterey for us must include a visit to Kristonio's. The staff is absolutely the best and very helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the area. You may even get to see their sweet little dog while your there. Stopped in this store after a visit to the Aquarium and what a selection! Beautiful souvenirs and very reasonably priced coats! Got a very well made reversible coat for my son (age 10) for $17.99 and one for me (size XL) for $19.99! Bought mine even though I didn't need it :-) Counter staff was extremely helpful - went to the back to get the right size for my son without my even having to ask. Definitely stop there first with your travel dollars - they'll go farther! read more

Kristonio's and Shell Shop are so cool. It's the old Wing Chong Market from the super old cannery days. There are still ghosts upstairs. Good ghosts. They have such fun stuff. You never know what you're going to find here. You can get a coat cheap too, if you'r not from this area and you think CA is warm, you were wrong, go get yourself a sweatshirt of jacket here.
