Perfect study place...go in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the brunch rush. Lots of tables, solid coffee and eats for sustenance throughout the day. Ample amount of outlets which truly is what tips this place over to a 5. I've spent hours upon hours here working and it's perfect. My go to is the cafe bianco and a breakfast burrito! If you're a student or looking to get some work done, definitely worth a shot as long as you don't go during the rush! read more

Super cute coffee shop off Indian school - great location and parking is usually easy to come by. Their coffee is pretty good but the service is pretty awful. We experienced a very rude barista but maybe she was just having an off day. Made a couple of comments that we weren't too fond of but the coffee was decent enough thay we may give it another try. read more

I love Lola! It's my favorite little local coffee shop because both the coffee and food (Avocado Toast with a fried egg on the side is my jam) are both delicious! The parking lot can be a bit busy at times (mainly weekend afternoons during football season), but if you go on a weekday or weekend morning, it's no problem at all. Staff is always super friendly and definitely an Arcadia neighborhood gem! read more

First time I went here I was impressed by how good the coffee was and the cashier was very nice. Today I went and there was a petite girl working there, she didn't even ask any questions when I asked for an iced coffee usually they ask "would you like whip cream" she didn't say a word. She just charged me and asked for my name. Not only did she put my name wrong on the cup but she seemed to have a bad personality. I don't know if she's not a morning person if it was too early for her or something but come on! It should be mandatory for your employees to always have a good personality it makes our day better. read more

Coffee is amazing. Most of the barista's have been friendly and accommodating and super nice to get to know. The Arcadia Location has a new young lady and she is not very friendly which is making me not want to patronize anymore. yesterday she made me feel really uncomfortable. She didn't understand my order and made me the incorrect drink I apologized that perhaps I didn't say it clearly enough but I'm in there every day ordering it.She made me the correct drink but was obviously kind of angry about it banging and slamming things around and now like I said I feel really uncomfortable to go back unless I know that she is not there. The young man that works behind the counter is phenomenal and his customer service is right on point! Give it a try but make sure you are speaking very very clearly. read more

I absolutely LOVE coming to Lola Coffee! I'm from the Seattle area and really adore local coffee over big franchise chains so finding this location so close to me was heaven sent. The coffee is the best I've had since moving to Arizona. The most surprising aspect is the affordability. These prices are unbeatable for the quality you get. I'm always greeted warmly, and the service is genuine and kind. Not to mention they always have great tunes going. I love the sound of many different conversations going on at once, and the staff laughing and having fun, while I take that first sip of coffee. It's the closest I can really get to my hometown routine. McKenna, Ari, and Phil are absolute angels and make an impact in my week, though they don't know it, really getting me through. read more

Best coffee in The Valley! If you like black coffee, you will love their blend. It's rich, smooth and perfectly paired with any of their pastries! The house baker, Joy makes almost everything from scratch and believe me, everything tastes amazing! My favorite are the macarons, which are seasonal, so get them when you can!! If you like a sweeter coffee, go for the Borgia, a dark chocolate orange mocha...it's amazing and is so good with the house-made cheese danish. The baristas are super friendly, and will take really good care of you. They wont make you feel bad for asking questions if you are unsure of what to order--not to mention they have OAT milk along with other non dairy milks! Best espresso in town! Lola has been my new go to coffee spot! Most importantly, my latte has always been A+. They are also really quick, which I appreciate since I have always been on my way to work. Arrived to the area a few weeks back. Lola is right around the corner from my Airbnb. Being from the PNW I love my coffee. I really enjoy theirs! It's full flavored without being burnt or bitter. Today I ordered their made to order omelette. It didn't disappoint. I wish I would have taken a photo! If you are looking to find a goto spot to meet friends or do a little work. The first thing I have to say is get the whipped cream on whatever you order, it is magical. Secondly, their drinks are a good mix of traditional coffee and some specialties. I got the matador and, though I don't like sweet drinks usually, I drank every bit of it. The espresso is easily detectable and obviously a good quality. The baristas are friendly and incredibly helpful, which is great because my boyfriend is on the hunt to find the perfect way to make caffeinated chocolate milk without it tasting too much like coffee and the baristas were happy to help. He loved his drink as well read more

This is such a welcome addition over in this neighborhood! I love the original Lola in downtown! This one is a really open concept plan inside, and the coffee is great ( I typically just get a cappuccino though) they also do make your own breakfast sandwiches. I've had a few up their baked goods- and they've been just okay. I love the local artist that they hang up in here. I'll definitely be back! read more

I love Lola, both locations and it's nice to have somewhere to get a Cafe Borgia again (for some reason the downtown location doesn't carry it). I love their pastries and their Spanish tortilla-yummy! The only thing I'm not a fan of is the hours. Closing early on Saturday. There were plenty of customers there enjoying their latte. The weekends are the only times I can enjoy Lola's because of their hours and was bummed to have to leave earlier than I'd intended because of it. Other than that I love their latte's, their food and the customer service and I'll be coming back. read more

Am I the only one who went here for the food? I love the concept of a build-your-own menu. Especially for someone who wants to avoid animal products. You have a choice to make your own burrito, omelette, or sandwich. We ordered a couple burritos and added a bunch of veggies in. There is a lovely long list of plant options: mushroom, tomato, spinach, onions, red peppers, zucchini, basil, jalapeno, potato. I was surprised at how cheap it was! It looks like food is only served until 11AM Mon-Fri and until 12PM on the weekend. I'll join in on the coffee fun next time. read more

Cute place! I live in the neighborhood and had driven by. Lots of parking & seating inside, good latte & plenty of food options for a small cafe. They even have some gluten free/vegan baked goods which I know many will appreciate. I'll definitely be back to try the breakfast sandwich :) read more

I am a big fan of the Lola Coffee in downtown Phoenix so i thought I would try this location out seeing as I live nearby. It is a good spot to study depending on the time of day. It gets extremely busy on the weekends because it has decent simple breakfast food and the coffee is good. Definitely plan to come on a weekday if you are interested in doing work here or studying. read more

CLOSES AT 4 EVERY DAY. I got here at 3:50 with a backpack and a book to do homework, and 5 minutes after I sat down they said that it was closed. The coffee was $6 for a 12 ounce and was nothing special, I am just irritated that the employee did not let me know they were closing immediately when I was obviously there to do homework and I got stuck paying for an expensive coffee. Online it says they close at five but that is not true. read more

Super cute place, good coffee, I got the vanilla latte is really good. The only thing that I didn't like was the bathroom was NASTY, looks like one that I would expect at a gas station. The toilet looks as if it hasn't been attended to in days.. If you're not keeping the bathroom somewhat decent in small establishment I could only imagine the rest of the place.... read more

Gave 3 stars for the hazelnut mocha latte. It was okay but not great. New to town and love to try local coffee shops. Stopped in on a Sunday. Only one person seated and one person in front of me. The barista's hospitality was lack there of. Unsure if had a rough customer prior to my arrival but I was still kind. I ordered the specialty drink first, then the quiche. I was informed they're all out of, so then I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was then informed the kitchen closes early on the weekends and afterwards told it's only pastries and not too many left. Wasn't aware as it wasn't listed on the website. Nothing else was recommended or suggested. Seemed as though she just wanted me out so ordered my coffee then went to the restroom. Came out and could over hear her friendly chatter with the next customer about food. As I stood to the side waiting for their conversation to end, she gave him his drink first with a kind send off then turned to me and stated here's your drink then turned her back to me. I still tipped because I come from service and believe it's customary. I also don't want to be judged but felt I was as soon as I entered the place. It's unfortunate because I really wanted to give this place a shot since I live close by but on a good note I saw a bakery called Essence and the food and service was awesome and near me as well. read more

History

Established in 2000.

Humble beginnings best describe Lola Coffee. Owner, Daniel Wayne began his quest searching for the perfect Espresso back in 1992. It all started with a 6 foot Espresso cart in front of the Hub Building in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Coffee Popularity/Culture was new and beginning to grow. Luckily, Daniel Wayne and local coffee bar owner Damian Serafine secured the contract. That contract had a whirlwind effect- as 1 location turned into several over the years. For the last 10 years, Lola Coffee downtown has been a place where the community meets. Daniel continues to work behind the bar daily, and still strives for the perfect Espresso. What he is most thankful for, besides his loyal customers is his amazing staff. Each member bringing personality and a connection to every customer.wner sat with the lights low... candles lit, wearing a jumpsuit, literally praying for anyone to lease the building.

We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. The staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the overall property has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. We booked an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and TV room, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. While the layout was great, the room itself could use some updates. The bathroom fixtures were older--the Kohler toilet didn't flush well and was a bit noisy, and the tub/shower combo had rounded sides that made it tricky to stand comfortably. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

I was looking for a good staycation while also earning American Airlines AAdvantage miles and…read moreloyalty points to maintain my status for another year. I found a great AAdvantage Hotel deal at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort and booked it. While it was a great success of a visit in terms of AAdvantage miles and loyalty points, my actual experience at the hotel itself was less to be desired due to the customer service and a big snafu on their part. I also have Hilton Gold status, though as I booked the hotel through a third party site (AAdvantage Hotels), I could see the stay and the stay history in my Hilton app, but I did not receive any benefits for staying there, which was fine as I didn't expect any anyone. I arrived in person to check in and already reserved and prepaid for a King 1 Bedroom Standard Suite, which had a nice view and reasonably spacious room (but not too much larger than a regular room at another hotel). The room was certainly not upgraded though there was parking available right in front of the entrance. I did not receive anything else at check-in nor did it appear that I'd get my regularly complimentary water. I did pay the daily resort charge which includes high speed internet access, access to the Falls Water Village, an hour at the tennis/pickleball court, an hour at the afternoon golf practice facility, two hours for a mountain bike rental, 20% off seasonal spa services, and 15% off select golf apparel. While I didn't use it, I had easy view and access to the Falls Water Village where you could lounge and play all day on their sun-marked terrace where you could find free-form pools, hot tubs, and cabanas. They even have a 138-foot enclosed water slide. When I checked out, I was told that a bill would be sent to me shortly since I did it on the app early, and when I received the bill, there was a charge for my room at the restaurant at the top of the hill called A Different Point of View. The catch is that I never went to eat there during my stay (or at any onsite restaurant since I live in the area and had my meals offsite). I reached out to the hotel who insisted that I did go there to eat. I promised them I didn't eat anywhere onsite and that they need to look at the receipt and see if it actually has my room number. They confirmed it did and that this meant I ate there. I told them to find my name on it and let me know if it was on there. After several more back and forth conversations, they confirmed it wasn't me and would remove the charge. They then mistakenly charged me double. Then they removed one charge, but it took more than a week before they removed the other charge. By the end of the exchanges, it felt like they were blaming me for their own mistake. While the resort is aged and rather pleasant, there certainly are training issues regarding the customer service offered at this property. I do not plan on staying here again in the future.

On the plus side, they have enough aerobic equipment to satisfy all. Their weight rack is missing quite a few weights. I do remember a manager at another Courtyard property telling me that guests steal the dumbbells. Nice/not! Overall, a good experience at this property.
