I moved in 2000 sq foot house worth of belongings in June of 2017. That fall during the first rain, there was a large leak in the roof towards the front of the unit. Many of my boxes suffered water damage. I can say though that when I reported it to the staff on duty, they sent a worker out to clean the rain gutters and also comped me with a free months rent. My only suggestion to them would be that if the gutters are known to cause leaks in the storage units, that they should clean them out prior to the rain. Last, upon recent move out, I found an extra large uhaul box containing very important items to have been broken into by what appears to have been a RAT. The rat chewed through a bunch of stuff, left fecal matter all inside the box, as well as a bunch of urine stains. I also found a large amount of cockroaches that were dead, under a stack of mattresses. Anyways, I encourage this business to up their game as far as water leaks and pest control.

NOT nice people running it and they overly enforce those rules, for what reason, I'm not sure. We needed a storage so we could have everything in one spot a couple week before we relocated to the bay area. Everything was smooth until move out day. We had professional movers helping us, they entered the gate behind another car while I was settling paperwork in the office. The gentleman in the office made a HUGE dramatic scene about them "not using the gate card". He stated that, in the event one of our movers "opened someone elses storage or something was stolen" we would be held liable, as they were illegally on the premises because they didn't swipe a key card according to him. This sounds like something made up, but I apologized and let him know we were unaware of that rule and it wouldn't happen again. I guess my apology for our honest mistake wasn't enough because he followed us out to our unit and confronted the movers. He scalded them like young children who had knowingly broken rules. It was, in my opinion embarrassing for all involved. I felt bad for the movers because they were hired to be there to help. It wasn't their fault and he couldn't give anyone a break. I apologized over and over again once he left, it wasn't right of him. His tone was forceful and snide. Adults have zero business speaking to other adults that way. He treated them like criminals.They didn't break into the storage facility, it was the first time any of them had heard "the rule" of not entering behind another car. The gate was left open at one point during the evening and he made the humongous semi wait and drive thru the other side. Don't get me wrong, I understand the need for gate codes and key cards. Safety in this day and age are very important. With that being said, there is a fine line when enforcing rules and being on a power trip. He needs to watch the way he interacts with people, being rude is bad for business and I will never recommend this place to anyone I know because of him. Also, there is a woman who also takes an annoyed tone with people. I was trying to move out and her final words to me were "you better sweep it out and leave it the way you got it or you'll be charged 20$". Treat people the way you want to be treated. End of story.

Most of all: they are easy going and there's no hassle when it is time to move out. Just call to let them know you've moved your things out, give the unit a sweeping, and take your lock. No notice required. We will absolutely come here if we need a storage unit again. The only downside: the annoying use of "your" instead of "you're" on the gate sign. But it gave me a chuckle every time I drove in.

I realized that the manager was not available on the weekend so I called Monday the 3rd to inform them of the dirty unit. I was told that they knew it was dirty, auto parts had been stored there, and would wash it out on Tuesday but I had to move my stuff out. I decided to not rent as I didn't want to have the chemicals on my things. When I move my things out on Tuesday the 4th of January, I called and let them know that I would like to cancel my rental due to the dirty unit I was told they would not refund me for the month, because they told me already no prorated rental fees. I would recommend not renting for this business. Update: Manager call and refunded all of the fees I paid.

My father recently past away and it was time to clear out the unit. The doors haven't been rolled up in over 9 years and I didn't know what to expect. To my surprise there was was zero evidence of rodents or insects. I thought there'd be something after all this time but our family albums and delicate belongings were in prestine condition. Darren was kind and considerate through this difficult time. He went out of his way to insure our comfort, offered a helping hand and stayed open exceptionally late so we could finish in one day.
