Sugary tea, watered down chocolate milk, fishy Cesar dressing. I was quickly reminded why chain restaurants are not in my purview.

The service (Thank you Justin) four stars, the food blah blaaaaaah boring so so so boring. Maybe because I had a salad at a steak house this review may be different. Ordered queso (ok that's what got this review its second star) and their sizzling chicken southwest salad. The blackened chicken was wiggly and tasteless. Made me nervous to eat it. The ranch I got on the side also unremarkable. So after three bites I donated it to the kitchen. I'll likely be back when I'm traveling through this area just to sit at the bar and perhaps talk to the bartender (Justin, so nice, knows his regulars) - and perhaps to try a steak or something else on the menu. However. If they mark on the menu that this is one of Logan's "signature" items, like my salad was, then it makes me nervous to try something else that they've named a signature dish. read more

Tina is the best waitress for starters! My family and I love this place. Its a good eat. And its a chain. I like the salmon and southwest salad.. those are my favorites. The rolls are the bomb! Must try. And I like the peanuts. I miss this place even more now that I live in Cali! read more

The services was good but the food was bad, steaks were way under cooked and tuff, salad was frozen turning black, sweet potato under cooked

Very good service, food was great! But the smell of the restaurant wast a little poor.

I got the worst food poisoning of my life from this place. Don't eat here. There were also dead bugs in our silverware rolls a year prior. Should've known to not go back after that. read more

I don't know what or who changed in the Comstock Park, MI, restaurant on Alpine. We used to love going in for good food. However the last few times, over almost a year, we have not been tastefully pleased. As much as we have been hooked on the Brewski Onion steak and the Kickin' Chicken Salad, we go to Logan's whenever we see one on any side of town. We stopped going to the Comstock Park location and go across town to the Grandville location. That one continues to be awesome! Last week Alpine was a good location for me to meet someone for lunch so we decided to give it a shot. We always order a salad, no matter if we're eating a burger, sandwich or a meat entrée. Their salads are the best! We wished we wouldn't have ordered it this time. They only had enough 1000 Island for one salad, which we both prefer 1000 Island. We also ALWAYS order extra croutons, bcuz they are phenominal! The salads were brought out without croutons. They were out and the excuse the waitress gave was they didn't have leftover bread. (Sounds like they should've baked some last night?) Both steaks were ordered Medium; both came with a MedRare stick and was rare-red meat all the way through. The plate was not sizzling like it used to, and still does in the Grandville location. The mashed potatoes my friend ordered were cold and flavorless. I ordered the veggie skewer for a side. It was cold and the zucchini was so hard I cold barely get it off the skewer. I will be happy to eat at Outback up the street for a little extra money, to receive taste, temp and the food I ordered. read more

My family and I came on a Saturday so it may have been the reason.... We were seated fast... But the server was either really slow or overwhelmed. Took 20 mins to take drink orders.. 20 more to take food orders. She finally handed us off to another waitress but never said anything so it was a guessing game to figure it out. The food was lukewarm and the steaks had no flavor. The mashed potatoes were like a paste consistency and left a odd/gross after taste. Ill say this tho, if you want to get hammered..get the Long Island ice tea top shelf! 3 sips and you will have a major buzz going. We may give it another go on a week day when it isn't hectic and see if its any better... I'll leave another review then... But as far as this visit.. I was a bit disappointed in how things were, especially after the price. read more

We were seated at our table for at least 10 minutes before I got up and walked to the desk to inquire if we had a server. Several minutes later someone came to our table with "excuses" as to why no one came to our table. Not a good first impression for this restaurant read more

For ordinary food, it's quite good. Looking at the menu, I was flabbergasted that you can get an *entire* beer roasted chicken with 2 sides for an entree. An entire chicken!! I opted for the mesquite grilled shrimp with sides of grilled mushrooms and grilled veggies. It was very good and smaller in portion. My husband got a grilled chicken salad. I tasted the croutons, and they were garlicky house-made browned bits of deliciousness. It's not fancy food, but it is well done. read more

Nice atmosphere- all the peanuts you can eat. Toss shells on floor. Very reasonably priced. My server, Heather D. was exceptional. Definitely will return in my next visit to Grand Rapids. read more

Busy on a Saturday night. Ok food. My steak was a bit rare even for me. The service left something to be desired.

Seated us at a booth with six people , I figured this was going to be a poor experience right off the bat. Once we were moved to a larger booth, as expected side salad was a joke , slow server , steak was tougher than I could stand sent it back . Kids ribs were burnt up. read more

Has amazing food at amazing prices if im being honest the service and waitresses have amazing responding time. Will eat there again!

We go to Logans a lot, because my kids love those rolls. If it were up to me I wouldn't go at all because the food is average but the worst part if the service I have never went and not had poor service and long waits for food and then receive only part of the order and wait for the rest to come out. It is just too unpredictable and always disappointing, this last time we went I told the kids never again. Bummer for them but I cant take it anymore to many other options on Alpine. read more

Awful service. Bad attitude from waitress and this was during a group birthday. Also management doesnt follow through. 4x ive called with only empty promises. read more

We waitied an hour and a half for a table. Took an hour to get our food and two of our family members didn't get their food until 30 minutes after everyone else got theirs. Waitress couldn't remember drink orders. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Awhile ago I brought my 2 young nephews, and my 10 year old niece to Logan's on a very busy Saturday night. I was told it would be a 45 minute wait, but my nephew was determined to stay (his name is Logan, so obviously Logan's is his favorite restaurant), so we waited. After about 45 minutes I watched the family who walked in right ahead of us get seated. Then I watched them order their food. Then I watched them receive their food, all while we were still waiting. After about an hour and 15 minutes (I regret waiting that long..), I went and asked how much longer it was going to be. She looked at her list, which I could see there were at least 10 parties crossed off AFTER my name, and after making a snooty comment about how the kids must be getting tired, she said they would seat us next. We finally got seated, we place our order... (1 kids meal, and lots of other things we were going to share). My niece was eating a side of Mac and cheese (not the kids meal), and she shows me something she had pulled OUT OF HER MOUTH. It was a piece of glass that had broken off the bowl. I tell our server, she says she'll send a manager over. Twenty minutes later, she comes by with the bill, the manager still hasn't been to our table, so she goes to find him. He finally gets there and says he'll take the kids meal off the bill. Even though the glass wasn't even found in the kids meal. I've had some bad restaurant experiences, but none of them come close to this one. read more

I came in on Sunday. Got seated right away with my wife as we waited for our daughter and son in law. We were greeted promptly by a server in training, Danielle. Never once during our visit could we tell she was in training!!! Kept warm rolls on the table, drink refills always brought, recommended options off the menu. She made us laugh and be able to enjoy time with our kids!! Our food was served fast and hot- thanks to all the staff. We will definately will be back and ask for Danielle. read more

Average food for an average price. If you like this sort of thing then you'll like this. What I really have to complain about is the stupidity of their advertising campaign, the TV spots with people having paper bags over their heads and the snotty announcer saying "some people just don't get it". No Logan's - you don't get it. Your commercials insult my intelligence. I can make a far better meal than you do for less money than you charge - in fact anyone who knows how to add money can. Which means they must think their customers are really stupid. read more

What a wonderful place to eat! The food was better then I could think, much more flavor then expected. Our waiter was just fantastic and insured our dining experience was the best it could be. read more

Normally, we like Logan's Roadhouse. We have eaten at this location (Alpine Ave) many times, but tonight was very disappointing. At 5:45 PM we (2 of us )were seated. I asked about happy hour and ordered a glass of wine. 5 minutes later, the waitress informed me that wine was no longer available for happy hour. My husband's coffee was cold. We each ordered the teriyaki steak and shrimp, medium. His was medium rare and the rice pilaf was left off his plate. My steak was so rare, I sent it back twice! Portions seemed small, too.Our waitress apologized profusely, but we are very disappointed. read more

Drinks came out extremely slow, had to ask after some time of waiting to please bring out, was there after the lunch rush, didn't seem busy, also sent steak back, seemed on the tough side read more

I don't know what happened to this place over the last couple years, but I won't be going back. I kept trying it hoping it was a fluke but it hasn't gotten better. Rolls are over baked, menu is boring, service is awful...like awful awful! I had a party of 4, we sat down about 10 minutes BEFORE a group of 7 that they seated right by us. We placed our orders before they even got their drink orders. They still got their food before us. It took us 1hr and 13 minutes to get our food. Management said it was because the kitchen is divided and one side may work faster than the other. Who runs this place?? read more

I went here tonight for the first time, I had the 6 Oz sirloin with a baked sweet potato and a garden salad, my meal was decent for the price, they are currently running a promotion for two full meals for $15.99 . It's perfect for a date night. The service was good. It's worth a visit. read more

Honestly the food and service was good. But ..... I was totally disgusted by how dirty this place is . Sat on bar side , the windows, windowsills and blinds were so dirty, the pictures on the wall had so much dirt grease and fingerprints on them . Table was dirty , salt and pepper shakers were dirty and greasy , sugar container was filthy , booth seat was dirty , and this was JUST where we were seated . If this is what the front of the house looks like, I would hate to see how dirty the back of the house is where my food came from. You know the old saying if you have time to lean , you have time to clean. This is something that should be done on a regular basis. Disgusted. Will not be back. read more

Worst service ever!! Ordered our food and waited forever!! After waiting 15 minutes the waiter came and said our salads would be up in a few minutes. 15 minutes later our dinner was delivered by a manager and the waiter came behind her with our salads. We said we didn't want our salads now because we didn't want our food to get cold. She offered to box our salads or comp our meal. Never once apologizing. By this time we were extremely irritated. Who wants to eat there salad the next day. The waiter came after 10 minutes and asked if we needed anything and I asked for dipping sauce for my chicken tenders and a cherry coke for my husband (his refill was diet coke). Well let's just say I never got my bbq sauce either. The manager never came back over. The waiter after forever yet again came and told us our meals were free. That was the longest 1 1/2 hour dinner ever. We arrived at 4:30 and they weren't even busy. I brought my parents there to celebrate a belated Mother's day dinner. Well the only good thing that came from this was a cheap gift. We will never return! This is not the the 1st time we have had awful service here!!! read more

Average service and food. We were discouraged with obviously dirty dishes and silverware.

My friends and I went there a few weeks ago and there were MANY things that made our experience HORRIBLE: a) Was told 10 minute wait time... got sat after 45. Reason? They threw the paper with our name on it in the trash. b) Because of this we were not able to get happy hour drinks or the 2 for 1 meals c) The waiter was VERY disrespectful. d) After a HORRIBLE evening, I emailed their corporate office and had NO response for over a week. e) Spoke to the Regional Manager who said he would send out dinner certificates, but that was never done. If you are looking for a cheap meal, this is the place. If you are looking for a cheap meal at a place that you would be respected and a valued customer-- don't go here. read more

Logan's roadhouse is a great place to celebrate events, such as Birthdays, Parties etc... Food takes a bit to come out and can carry a long line around dinner time, so just expect that. Love this place, I'd definitely come back. read more

This location was Horrible. I usually have good expirences at other Logan's but this one was not good. Took 15 minutes for our server to even come over and take our drink order, another 10 for us to get our waters. After ordering we waited for our appitizer, 30 minutes go by and we still never got it, another 10 go by so we ask and it was clear he forgot. Finally our main course comes. Both Steaks were dry and burnt all around, mash potatoes cold and gross. But finish our meal anyways cause we're hungry then he finally brings us our appitizer-.- Service Bad. Food Bad. read more

If I could give it a zero I would. Stay away from this place. My wife and I were seated at a table that was filthy. The hostess escorted us to the table and just left. I had to go up to the hostess station and ask someone to clean it (there were at least 4 employees at the hostess station doing absolutely nothing). The only reason we didn't walk out was because we had a gift card and wanted to use it up. We ordered our food - we both ordered the French Dip - and it took 20 minutes for it to arrive. I would say these were the worst tasting French Dip we've ever had (later that evening my wife got sick to her stomach but I was fine). I also noticed that the people at the table next to us (a table of 8) sent two of their steaks back. Once done, we waited forever for our check. The waitress did offer to go boxes for our sandwiches, we both had about 1/2 left, but we declined. Stay away from this place. It's dirty and the food is awful. We will not go back. read more

This restaurant has a good atmosphere, lively and friendly. The service was fine and the sides were OK. The two steaks we ordered (T-bone and ribeye) were both tough and full of gristle. While they were cooked as ordered, the poor quality will never have us coming back. Go for the peanuts and beer, but avoid the food. read more

I thought I could talk my son out of going back, but he insisted. This time I ordered a different steak then his and a miracle happened. We both received perfectly cooked steaks with seasoned fresh french fries. Rolls were way softer as well. If Logan's can get some consistency then I'm all about leaving better reviews. read more

We had decided to take my husband's sister and her family out to dinner. We were seated promptly and got our first drink order served. After waiting for quite a while, my husband flagged down a waitress from another section to get refills and to find out where OUR server was to take our order. Our drinks arrived with the flagged down server and still no sign of ours. After a nice long wait ours showed up and took our order, the food took forever to get to the table. When it did show up, the shrimp skewer on the side I had ordered wasn't there and I mentioned that it was missing, while she ran out to catch the shrimp herself I took a bite of my prime rib. It was so salty I wouldn't eat it, over cooked and just one of the worst cuts of meat I've ever had. Our server showed up about 20 minutes later... without my shrimp, and I told her to remove it from my bill and to please give us our checks.. no we wouldn't be needing a box. AFter complaining we were apologized to, the shrimp was all that was altered on the bill, and most of the food was still uneaten and left on the table. read more

Recently went here for a birthday dinner and staff was more then accommodating with our large party! Food was great!

We've frequented Logan's before but this time around we didn't have a great experience. Slower than average service (waitress was slammed with a party of 16). After 10-15 minutes our drinks arrived, then another 10-15 before rolls arrived. Once the meals arrived my medium steak was rare and my wife's medium-rare burger was medium-well. Her fries were cold, my baked potato wouldn't melt butter. Manager took my steak to cook more but never brought me another baked potato. Meanwhile second try with my wife's burger was a failure: medium-well again. We spent nearly 90-minutes making due with peanuts and ice-tea and lemonade. In the end, they comped our food and gave us a certificate for two dinners next time. I'm not sure there will be. read more
