Great quality clothes and amazing sales. This is where I get my whole wardrobe. I get my work and my casual clothes here. I just think the ladies that work here are not always nice. They are over bearing, sometimes follow you around. I have been coming here for over 10 years. Today I was followed into the fitting room. Not once has anyone asked if I need a fitting room so I always walk myself to the fitting room. I love this store, they have a quality product. I entered the store, there were three associates and approximately four customers, including myself. The store was clean and presentable. I perused the store for over fiften minutes and not one salesperson engaged with me or even offered a hello. I walked to the rear of the store to peruse the sales rack. I observed one sales associate ineracting with soneone in the fitting room. I then approached a different sales associatte and asked if WHBM would be receiving any long sleeve blouses or shirts soon, as the store had a lot of short sleeve tops on the racks. The associate simply replied.."yes, soon." I am an avid shopped of WHBM and I am a platinum reward member. I have never encountered such a bad shopping experience in their stores. I left the store directly after the associate responded to me. This store is not very large. So to not engage with a customer on a weekday midday with four customers, is totally unacceptable. I will continue to shop their stores online and in other Chicagoland locations. read more

Ok, one of the sales associates who closed on Thursday, February 7th (she has short blonde hair) REALLY needs a training in customer service and while you're at it throw a chapter or two in her training materials on diversity. Came here around 7:30pm, store was empty walked pass cash registers and there were like three women working that evening, only ONE of the sales associates spoke, and she also rang me up - as I look at my receipt she was Desk Associate - 5209417 (assuming she was using her own) she was a younger girl with brown hair. She was the only one who even acknowledged me. The other lady (blondie) whom has no customer service skills and need not be in this industry just stared and looked at me. Look lady, didn't your mother teach you not to stare and if you do at least smile and speak? Well she did none of that. She literally just lurked from afar, so uncomfortable and not a great shopping/looking experience at all. They had a great sale going on and after I was fed up with this lady and her rudeness, I purchased the cute tights that were marked down and quickly left and can you believe this lurking, non friendly sales associate had the NERVE to be by the door as I was leaving the store (again suspect) and so I said to myself let me see if she says goodnight or good evening, and to my much not surprise the lady did not even have the decency to say good evening, thank you for coming, nothing. See these type of people will first make you not ever want to come back to the store again, and second make you write a letter/email to their corporate office about such the bad shopping experience. This lady represents the Loft brand very badly and her unprofessional and suspect behavior need to be addressed ASAP. I will not be back and will just take my Platinum AMEX and business elsewhere. I had a really nice shopping experience tonight. Multiple staff members greeted me, offered to help and were pleasant and chatty. There is a big sale on right now but mostly I bought from the front of the shop as I needed something specific. I was able to find a few items in my size (10) but few things much larger. The style is fairly plain/generic so I really only go here for basics like trousers, tanks, shorts and cardigans but they do have some cute accessories like necklaces and shades. read more

Ladies, if you're looking for a pair of trouser-style jeans, this is where to find them. I ended up finding a pair of super dark, flattering trouser jeans with sailor front detailing. $70... okay, I'll pay that and more for some denim with polish. But yesterday they had a sale in which most regular-priced jeans and tops were half off. So yeah, $35! I feel like I robbed 'em. The Loft also stocks some pretty dresses, jackets and tops. Great sunglasses too... they look a lot more expensive than they really are. This store is well-organized and the sales staff is helpful but also gives you space once you let them know you're okay. And, their jeans have always fit me really well so I'm sure to return! read more

This store just blows my mind. How are you still in business? The sign says it's open until 7 pm on Saturdays. As of the time of this review it is 6:07 pm and I was told to go home. In a separate incident, I walked in and probably spent a good hour picking out a new work outfit. Asked the staff member where the bathroom was. Turns out that customers are supposed to go to a nearby Whole Foods or DSW store to use the restroom per the policy. NEVER AGAIN, LIMITED. Never again. read more

When you find a store with so much variety why do I need to look elsewhere. Definitely the best spot to get clothes in the city! I love this store. My heros. I rushed in here last week on a weekday night... 30 minutes before closing time. I had a very delayed realization that I needed to wear a suit to my interview the next morning. Eeeekkk! After running in to three other, less expensive stores, I accepted the fact that I was just going to have to pay a bit more for something that really fit me and looked good. The sales girls were extremely helpful. We picked a suit to start with, and they helped me pick the right style pants and jacket that fit properly. Mission #2 was to find a top to wear under. I wanted something a bit colorful that 'popped'. The sales girl delivered a selection of about 10 tops to my fitting room. I loved that she was honest about the way they fit and looked on me. I walked out one VERY happy, confident camper. And.... all suits were 30% off. Me likey. read more

I give it one star for the customer service which was non-existent and 5 stars for the selection and deals. Even though everyone in the store were all a bunch of jerks, I'll always come back for the sales and just hold my tongue and leave as quickly as I can. UPDATE: I went back a few days later to return something and this time the customer service was much better. A different group of folks. Who acknowledged me when I entered the store, offered to help and was friendly attentive when I checked out. I wish they would've been working when I first visited the store. read more

I just went in to pick up jeans that I love since there was a sale. Two sales people went above and beyond to find the jeans at another store and ship it to my home. Love there clothes. These pants fit me better than any other. I also love the sales that they have. Today it was 50% off everything in the store - even stuff marked down. I got a pair of pants for $4.97! They are always my go to store for new items and I am never disappointed. I also love the 15% teacher discount - they gave me this above and beyond the 50% of deal going on! read more

Gotta give 5 starts to a shop where I got $180 worth of clothes (3 pairs of slacks) and only paid $34! They have great sales, a good selection of merchandise, a section for petites, and helpful staff. There's really no competition in this part of town so I hope they stay. read more

I'm glad to hear that others are having the same experience at this store with indifferent sales associates. I was starting to wonder if it was me or something ... I have never once been greeted when I walk into this store. Even today, when I was literally the only customer in the store for a few minutes and there were three sales associates, I was ignored and I walked around and browsed. And I got no offer of assistance as I lugged a number of items into the dressing room. You can always find something good on sale or clearance here. The staff is friendly and helpful, sometimes too much. I really don't like to be bothered while I shop. You'll get every associate asking you if you need help. They need to devise a system so they know who has already been asked. read more

This store is a favorite of mine! The petie section is great, I finally found pants that I do not have to alter - the Marissa pants fit just great! The sales are awesome and the staff is very friendly and helpful when needed. The trouser jean is stylish and can be worn other than on Casual Fridays! There is always a sale of some sort, I just purchased a pair of pants at 30% off and bought a necklace for my daughter there as well. read more

I cannot say enough about this store. They are always getting new shipments out on the floor weekly, and they have great deals; however, they also have the most helpful employees. I have come here for just about every major event I have had in the past year. I am never not satisfied with their products or their service. It really makes you feel like you are shopping in a Mom/pop somedays, because you always feel welcomed and acknowledged; and, as someone who usually shops locally, that's exactly what I would like to feel when I do shop corporate. I never shopped at a Loft until a month ago. I bought a dress and a couple of shirts. I had great customer service. They put my items in a fitting room. They constantly asked me if I needed another size or needed help. When I was in the fitting room they ask if you need another size. They get you another size. When I visited the store last week I spent quite a bit of money, but almost everything was on sale. I lost 45 pounds and I need new clothes for my smaller body. I found a dress, sweaters for $25, jewelry buy one get on 50%, and pants on sale. I love the modern straight curvy jean. I bought a dark blue wash in the store. Then they used a tablet to order a black pair for me. I received them via UPS a few days later. Great customer service! read more

I love how big this Loft is in comparison to other locations in Chicago. The store is nicely arranged and easy to navigate. I liked that the sale items were on big racks and not tightly packed in one section. The staff seem indifferent to all the customers that walk in. Also wish I knew they offer 15% student discounts. Today I go into the store and the lady at the register is completely disinterested in helping me out. I used to be a loyal shopper of Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft. Not anymore. They never have the right sizes and the styles aren't on-market. It seems everything has to be pin-striped with cuffed pants. The clothes have a great fit, particularly the petites, but what short person wants to wear cuffed pants? Cuffed pants break up the visual line from hip to foot and can make you appear shorter. Besides, cuffed pants aren't in style anymore. read more
