They had an amazing sale, I'm sure since it's the end of the year.. but great Christmas gifts and holiday clothes choices. I highly recommend! Ann Taylor isn't really my style but I go in occasionally if I need a bland wardrobe 'staple' of some sort. The store interior is nice and larger than a mall version. Now i have a story. My last visit i was looking for a simple dress for a baby shower (which already put me in a bad mood). No size 4, no size 6, no size 2. It was 0 or 8. The sales associate recommends I try on the size 8. I smile and internally poured scorn upon her. She wanders off, I grab the 0 and head to the fitting room. It fit fine, it was a friggin a-line dress! I head to the checkout and she reappears to get credit for her sale - she asked me how the 8 fit, i told her the 0 was great. She then replies "Oh yes, that dress does run quite large". Who says that?? read more

Am giving 2 stars because a saleswoman listened to my complaint seriously. Otherwise just one star. I hate this shopping center for parking, with all the places to eat and the multiplex, it is rough getting a space but I came because a friend told me LOFT carries sizes 16 and above. So I schlep over. Big mongo sign, up to size 26 (see photo). They do not have a plus size section, they have a nook, my frickin kitchen is bigger than this! Am posting a pic and right behind the rack with the yellow garments are all regular sizes and socks. I start browsing the area labeled for plus sizes and see all the small slender woman thinking they are lost or shopping for someone else. NOPE. They were not lost, there was lots of size 4 and 6 clothing right behind that rack with the yellow garments. Do not bother with this store if you are a plus size, sales woman told me go online....yeah I know all about online shopping....there is this little site called AMAZON that sells plus size clothes, once in awhile I want to ACTUALLY try something on (meanwhile brick and mortars are complaining they are losing sales...). Do yourself a favor, skip this place drive a mile or so away and go to the Lane Bryant in Fair Lakes where they have a decent size store, nice help, great sales, lots of fitting rooms, oh yeah and some MERCHANDISE! read more

The employees were good and one woman helped my friend look in the back for a size in pants they didn't have on the floor. The reason i am giving a 3 star review is due to the conditions of the store. The floors were covered in dust bunnies and the dressing rooms had lots of dust and paper and trash. The door in the dressing room was so dirty and covered in black scuff marks. This store used to be beautiful and has recently taken on lots of wear and tear and it shoes. read more

I love this place! Someone from the corporate really did their research and the clothing they hashed out are just awesome! Or maybe I'm just getting a tad bit older and my taste buds have changed to their more hip and sophisticated clothing. Layout - Nice! Easy flow, clearance/sale section always in the back. Benches in the fitting room area for the men. Nice work wear to the right upon entry. They got rid of the restroom due to loss prevention incidents. Prices - You know, they are a bit pricey. It's either you hold your breath and hope your size is still on sale later on (because it happens a lot!), or buy now and take the bullet. I've done both. It is best to sign up with them and get coupons and announcements. It's worth it. Clothing - I LOVE the Lou and Grey collection. Their material are sooo soft, warm, and the style is beach-chic. If Loft were to stop carrying this brand, I would be very sad. Their knit sweaters are eye catching. Some jewelry are lovely, but prices are not worth buying at full cost. Service - Is good. Often I do get greeted.. Maybe not right away.. But they will get there, smiling and friendly! read more

I have honestly never been in a more unfriendly LOFT. The two employees I spoke to were so rude from the first moment I walked in. I had purchased 3 things online then decided they weren't for me, unfortunately I couldn't find the correct receipt for 2 of the items and the lady helping me (fairly certain she was the manager) was very rude about it. As I searched for my receipt, she rolled her eyes and smirked when I didn't find it. She then looked the dress I did have a receipt for over extensively and was VERY snippy about having to check to make sure the tag and inside tag numbers matched (isn't that part of the job?).. She finished the return and handed me the receipt and didn't say a word. No "here you go" or "have a nice day." Terrible customer service.. especially from a brand that's usually so wonderful. Flash forward, I walked in with the correct receipt for the other two items the next day and was relieved to see a different person behind the register.. except she was just as unfriendly! I couldn't believe it. While she did return my items with much more ease, she didn't say one word to me outside of "I need your ID". I even tried saying something about all the cute new items in the store. No reply.. Then, when she finished my refund, I said "thanks so much! have a great day" to which again, I got a blank stare. As I said above, every employee of LOFT has always been so wonderful in the other stores! I am shocked and disappointed to have this experience not once but twice in one week. This LOFT is literally 1 mile from my new home and I will either shop online or go to the one in Tysons just to avoice the unfriendly staff. Disappointing. read more

Was having a gloomy week and went shopping to cheer me up. Who knew I'll meet such a wonderful and thoughtful person at Loft. Ms. Denise you made my day. She helped me find pretty dresses and skirts. But most importantly she made feel so special. She made sure I got the right sizes that'll suit my body best. Thank you Ms. Denise! I'll definitely be coming back to this store. read more

Not a pleasant shopping experience. Horrible customer service. None of the employees would make eye contact and acted as though they were too busy/didn't want to assist at all. Store was dirty as well. Across the street is WHBM where I have always received exceptional customer service and enjoy my shopping experience in there. I will continue to shop at Loft online but will skip this location if I need to go to the store for anything. read more

I've been to this store twice and each time I've found the place dirty and somehow disorganised. The staff is also snobbish and rude. They have good stuff and if they want to attract more buyers they need to change how they operate. As for me I don't think I'll be heading back there any time soon read more

Disgustingly dirty in the dressing room. The manager at this location is super pushy (sales and credit cards/rewards card) and not friendly. It's sad because I love LOFT and get all my work clothes there. Employers do not greet or even smile. I would not suggest shopping at this LOFT. read more

This location is open again after a remodel. The store looks beautiful and has a great feel for what ann taylor loft sells. However as a petite woman i was highly annoyed to find that petite sizing is given like a six feet by six feet area! Thanks for the special store area except why can't i choose from all the other options in store? Its silly that they don't blend the petite stock in with the other sizing. read more

Honestly the town center location is horrible in almost every aspect. Their inventory is always lacking compared to every other loft in the area and they are always completely unorganized. However their staff is what really makes me no longer a LOFT customer after years of shopping with them. I've never seen such a sheer ignorance and lack of care for anything in any LOFT store until visiting the town center location. They are rude, unhelpful, and should not be working in customer services if they can't handle simple decency. I do hope this location is replaced by new staff or replaced all together because they give LOFT a bad name. read more

I have placed an online order for pick up at the store and after I didn't get an email confirmation it's ready for pick up, only the initial order confirmation, I checked the status and it said it's cancelled. I called the store and a lady named Grace said they are not honoring that sale price because of a glitch on the system and that's why the order got cancelled. I'm looking at friends' post of the same item picked up at other locations. The one in Fairfax is refusing to honor their price. Glitch or not it's is not the customers fault. And no one had a minute to email me or call me to let me know. All I got is " sorry love"... Stand behind your advertisements regardless and please don't call an upset customer "love". It's condescending and unprofessional. If the other locations are honoring the price, system error or not, it just shows how much you care about customer service. I bet if I had regularly priced items in my cart they would not have been canceled. read more

I purchased a dress for $98 and discovered it went on sale for 40% off after 10 days. Since I still had the receipt and never removed the dress from the bag, I decided to see if they would honor a price adjustment. The lady I spoke with, Kara, was so rude to me. She explained the policy (price adjustments are only honored after 7 days). I told her I understood and explained that I would like to instead return the dress then. Kara informed me I "wasn't allowed to return it". I was confused since I had the original receipt and was within the return policy dates. She then told me she would let me talk to a manager, who gladly agreed to complete the price adjustment. Everything was fine until my friend informed me that Kara was talking about me to another coworker, Karen. They were gossiping about me at one of the sweater tables and laughing. This bothered me since they were doing it in the open for all the customers to hear! That to me is very unprofessional. When I was leaving, Kara approached me and smiled while telling me goodbye. I confronted her about what my friend overheard. She looked like a deer caught in headlight, but quickly recovered and denied everything. Yes. Real professional, lady. read more
