The mini fridge and Microwave

The man at the front desk was very sweet. Hotel room was very fancy. Bathroom was pretty and there was a hot tub. Pool was nice. We had our own padio. There was a fridge and microwave. The lobby was very well decorated.

Welcome anniversary surprise!

My husband and I got married on Vail Mountain and stayed at the Lodge at Vail. I contacted Christoper McRoy, the hotel GM to let him know that we were coming back to celebrate our anniversary at the hotel. He was very responsive and to our surprise they went above and beyond to make our trip memorable!! We are already talking about our future anniversary trips and we are definitely returning! They listen to their guests and deliver. Customer service is not dead and knowing we had a lot of hotel choices, we made the right one! Thank you to the entire staff at the LAV!

I stayed in the hotel rooms so I can't answer for the condos. Im a former NYC hotel owner and I was very impressed with the staff both at the front desk and in the restaurants and spa, especially the gentleman at the spa (can't remember his name -- ugh!) who went out of his way to please everyone and was as scrupulous and passionate about his work as anyone I have ever seen. The cleaning staff were equally efficient and pleasant. Breakfast in the morning was uneven depending on what you ordered but I recommend the $36 buffet which offers a variety of quality breakfast food (omelettes made to order) from oatmeal to pastries, to smoothies, to juices, fruit, yogurt etc. The massage I had at the spa was one of the finest I have ever had and the interiors/common areas including the rooms were lovely but I would not go as far as to say they are particularly 'special/unique.' The ski valet at Vail Sports forgot to return our skis to the lodge on the final day so we were left without our skis when it came to leaving first thing the next morning. The front desk person apologized profusely on their behalf and suggested that they FED-EX them as an alternative. Since I didn't need them right away I was happy with this option, and remarkably I received them in perfect condition (they packed my remaining ski clothes to pad out the bag as requested) 2 days later... The outdoor pool and two hot tubs (weak jets, alas) was a lovely way to end the day, but I preferred the jacuzzi and steam room at the spa. The convenience for the gondola never got old: Fantastic location and I'm sure that plays into the rate, but in the end it was money well spent.

Plenty of room in the lobby

SPA review only as I didn't stay at this property. I had a 10am massage but showed up at 8:30 to…read morerelax and enjoy the amenities. They have lockers, showers, sauna, steam room, hot tubs, and pool. They offer shampoo, conditioner, lotion, spf, razors, hair brushes, makeup wipes, cold towels, robes and slippers. This was an amazing spa experience! My massage was the best massage I've ever had. I did a 50 minute Abhyanga massage and it was so relaxing! After the massage, I sat by the fire and enjoyed the peace and quiet. I stayed until about 2pm enjoying all of the spa amenities. They provide fruit infused water and teas. There is also an oxygen bar available for an additional cost. They do allow children under the age of 16, with adult supervision. There were a few kids in the pool so it's not an adult only area which is the only downfall.

We especially loved the spa and the complimentary tea service, which was such a nice touch. The front desk associate who checked us in was very kind and welcoming, and the concierge was extremely helpful and friendly, which made our arrival and stay feel very smooth and stress-free. A few small notes about the room: even though it was very cold outside, the room stayed quite warm at night and we ended up sleeping with the door cracked every evening. The vanity plug-in mirror in our room didn't work, and on the first night we placed the "no maid service" sign on the door, but housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room while we were out. Dining and service were overall great. At Bully Ranch, the hostess wasn't the friendliest, but our server was wonderful and made up for it. The staff at The King's Club were fantastic -- our waitress was from Costa Rica and was absolutely lovely. The German mulled hot wine was delicious, and her recommendation of the Tequila Mockingbird was excellent. I was hoping for a true chai latte, but the one at Trefe Café tasted more like warm milk with cinnamon rather than a traditional chai. On the positive side, the valet and room service staff were amazing, and the spa team was incredibly kind and welcoming -- they truly made the experience special. Overall, a beautiful hotel with great amenities, a perfect location, and mostly excellent service. Just a few small details to improve, but we had a very enjoyable stay.

May 2026 My wife and…read moreI are Marriott Vacation Club owners, and about five months ago we decided to take a road trip from Maryland to Colorado. After stopping at several locations along the way, we finally arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Club, Vail, and from the moment you pull in, you immediately understand why this place is special. As soon as you arrive, the valet staff greets you right away. The Ritz truly offers full-service hospitality. You simply take any personal items you want with you and head inside to check in while they handle everything else. They unload all of your luggage, neatly place any loose items into a nice bag, park your vehicle, and once they see you've made it to your room, your luggage is delivered shortly after. Walking through the front doors, there is a table set up with hand lotion, several different SPF sunscreens, hand sanitizer, and baskets of washcloths for guests returning from outside activities -- a very thoughtful touch. Check-in was quick and effortless. The staff explained the amenities, where everything was located, and then off to our room we went. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit, and when we opened the door we were immediately impressed. The decor was beautiful and upscale without feeling overdone. The entryway included a half bath, followed by a dining area and small bar setup. The kitchen featured Bosch and Breville appliances, which added to the luxury feel. The living room had a sofa bed, comfortable seating, and a large tv over the fireplace that made the room feel very cozy and a balcony looking at the slops. Both bedrooms were nearly identical and absolutely stunning, each with: a huge king bed, a large bathroom, heated floors, a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and double sinks. One of the bedrooms also had a balcony. Every evening starting around 4 p.m., the resort hosts different socials including cookies, wine tastings, and later bourbon tastings. It really added to the overall experience and made the property feel even more welcoming and luxurious. There is honestly so much more I could say about this property, but overall we absolutely loved our stay. If you are looking for one of the best places to stay in Vail, this is it.

Well appointed room, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with all the little luxuries. It has a steam room, and outdoor pool and a very nice lounge for chilling apres ski. There is a shuttle to and from the Arabelle where you have a very short walk to the lift. There's also a tent there where you check your skis and poles so you don't have to schlep them back to the hotel. The shuttle takes all of 90 seconds. Wonderful friendly staff and valet parking - free for the first car. Highly recommended!

My recent stay at Tivoli Lodge in Vail was unacceptable and far below the standards one expects from a property of this reputation and location. We checked in after a winter storm and were assigned room 403 on the fourth floor. The room was freezing, with a heating unit that did not function properly. After contacting the front desk, maintenance briefly attended to the issue, but the problem was not resolved. During the first night, the heat became excessive and uncontrollable. With a new and inexperienced front desk attendant on duty, and the likelihood that no maintenance staff would be available, we were forced to open the balcony door in winter conditions simply to make the room tolerable. During that same night, water began dripping/leaking from the ceiling. The following day, after returning from breakfast, the room had again become excessively hot. The thermostat still did not function. Maintenance was sent once more and noted they repaired it, but within minutes, significant water dripping leakage developed not just a minor drip, but a steady and concerning flow from the ceiling and wall framing in both the entry and bathroom areas. Our carpets were drenched our sock wet At that point, we had no choice but to demand a room change and were moved to room 405, , which was a much larger and nicer room. While the heating system there functioned properly, it still presented issues, including a broken closet handle another clear sign of poor upkeep. What made the situation worse was how it was handled. Housekeeping staff pressured us by their immediate presence to vacate quickly so the room could be reset, despite the hotel being nearly empty. This was unnecessary and inconsiderate. Shortly thereafter, a staff member returned and knocked aggressively on our door over a forgotten item. The manner was inappropriate and unprofessional. Although there were moments of professionalism particularly a mature front desk associate with a Caribbean accent who was pleasant, friendly, and helpful I would also like to recognize her more fully. She stood out as someone who was genuinely trying her best to be kind, attentive, and helpful under difficult circumstances. Her demeanor, patience, and willingness to assist were appreciated and reflected the level of service the hotel should consistently strive to provide. Unfortunately, the overall experience still reflected a lack of coordination, training, and accountability. In contrast, a late evening desk clerk was unable to provide even basic assistance in locating open dining options, citing unfamiliarity with the area. I understand that between-season periods can present operational challenges. However, if the resort is open, it should be fully prepared to serve and satisfy the guests it chooses to accommodate especially when occupancy is so low. We did not create these problems the hotel did. Yet at no point did we receive a strong or meaningful apology, nor any gesture to help ameliorate the situation. Both are not only appropriate but expected under these circumstances. As a result of these ongoing issues, we made the decision to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, as we felt it was simply not worth extending our stay to the schedule day. This only compounded our disappointment it was a choice we made based on our experience. I would also strongly suggest that management exercise better judgment when the hotel is operating at very low occupancy. In such circumstances, guests should be proactively upgraded to the best available rooms rather than being assigned rooms with known or even obvious deficiencies. This experience reflects poorly on the management of Tivoli Lodge. A property that is largely empty has no excuse for assigning a defective room, failing to resolve repeated maintenance issues, and handling guest disruptions so poorly. Tivoli Lodge is a beautiful property with a great location, but this was a sad and disappointing experience. PD ...I would also like to note a truly positive experience during our stay at The Little Diner, a Vail institution well known for its accolades in both service and quality of food, delivered an outstanding breakfast experience. His professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness were exceptional and stood in sharp contrast to the challenges we encountered at the hotel. Jose Pienknagura 602-321-2004 Josepienknagura@gmail.com

The building is beautiful with a cabin type feel offering seating areas with a fire place to hang out and watch any weather going on outside. (At one point for us it was snowing and absolutely beautiful outside) The rooms are large with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms, a nice sized living room and dining space and every appliance and kitchen utensils you need to have meals right there in your room. This saved us a bunch of money from having to go out to eat all of the time with 10 people. It was large enough for us to have breakfast and dinner all together in one of the suites. Worked out perfectly. We noticed that one of the remote controls was missing batteries, so we used the one from the living room and all went well. Notified the front desk and they were on it immediately to get us those batteries. Great service! We did take advantage of the hot tub a couple of nights. They have an indoor hot tub and pool and an outdoor hot tub and pool, along with a sauna and a steam room. So many options and all free with your room. This is a great place to also bring a family. They have a playground and a free shuttle every 30 minutes to take you in to town for shopping and dining. This is a great property and I highly recommend then for a weekend or a week stay.

There could sometimes be a kind of long wait for the elevator though. I had a two bedroom, two bath condo, and it had all of the basic kitchen necessities I could've needed. I was a little unclear about housekeeping as they gave me a flyer which I thought said I wouldn't get housekeeping, but I actually did. The one frustrating thing was trying to add a name to the reservation. At hotels, you can just call down to the front desk and get that taken care of. Here, I had to go to an owners portal (I'm not even an owner.... Just booked it direct on the Marriott website) and fill out a bunch of information about the guest, including their email address and address. It took them a long time to process, and I wasn't sure if the second person was going to end up having issues checking in. So, make sure you have all of your names right on the reservation to begin with! The shuttle was very quick both heading to Vail and leaving Vail. I was a little confused as to where to pick up the shuttle though at the hotel. I stayed in Evergreen and they said the shuttle would pick me up in front of the building, but I didn't know exactly where that was. It turns out that the front entrance is between the third and fourth floors of the hotel.

Avoid This Hotel at All Costs…read more If you value cleanliness, good service, or honesty in advertising, do not stay here. The hotel's listing claimed "luxurious mountain retreat", "elevated experience, "recent renovations" and showed beautiful photos, but my experience was nothing like what was advertised. We booked a 5-night stay for New Year's week to celebrate my birthday, paying $10,000 during peak pricing. We chose this hotel for its location over newer and less expensive options, only to be met with a room that was outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. Room Conditions: * Stained carpets and walls * Damaged headboard and cracked bathroom tiles * Moldy, peeling wallpaper and a musty, moldy smell in the bathroom * Dirty towels, scratched lamps, toothpaste spatter on the mirror, and stained sink and counters * A broken deadbolt on the door Service: The service was equally disappointing. At check-in, I immediately reported the room's condition, but the front desk staff refused to assist, telling me to speak to a manager the next morning. Over the next two days, I spoke with several staff members, including those claiming to be managers, yet nothing was resolved. I was told no other rooms were available, and they could not do anything. I asked to check out early and cancel my remaining days of my prepaid stay. They did agree but I am still waiting for refund. One manager, Bryanna, was especially rude and dismissive, showing no willingness to help. The staff seemed inexperienced and untrained, which I later learned was due to new management. Final Thoughts: This stay has been a nightmare. I've wasted days of my trip trying to resolve these issues with the hotel and Expedia, and I am still waiting for a refund for the unused nights. On top of that, the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, with no alternatives offered. This hotel is overpriced, poorly managed, and far from the luxury experience it advertises. Avoid it at all costs--it's not worth the money, the frustration, or the disappointment.
