I really enjoyed this place. I came here twice and both the times the pasta was cooked to perfection and the service was also very good. I also tried their Fritto Misto and their pistachio cake, which were also delicious. This feels like a no nonsense, good quality, Italian restaurant.

A very cute place inside. We ordered to-go pizza not bad at all! We had a drink at the bar and the bartender was great! Interesting set-up here and someday will come back for the full experience.

Very cute, authentic Italian restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating and cute decor. Pricey pasta but generous serving sizes. The gnocchi was delicious. Adding the soft warm bread for dipping elevated the dish, making it worth every penny!

This is my second visit and just as I remembered. Small, quaint dining room with full bar and nice menu. Caveat: menu isn't large with 2-3 items of salad, main, fish, etc and one special. However the food is outstanding including branzino, linguine carbonara, calamari, and more. And wine list is fairly extensive and affordable. Our service was amazing with a young lady who was on point all night but not too aggressive or present. No downside but be aware that parking meters in lot behind restaurant are real and they are managed. When we arrived some cars were receding tickets. So be aware!

Every time I try one of the locanda locations they are always a 10/10! I love suggesting the locations to friends because I know the service is always going to be good and the food will taste the way it needs to. My friend And I dropped by for dinner and decided we wanted to shares two items. We chose the pizza and the pasta. The pizza was soooo good! Flavor is there with a crunchy crust. Make sure you ask for their chili oil because that elevates it! The pasta was just ok unfortunately but I have tried the pasta at the other locations and it's usually really good so I'll chalk it up to an off night. Drinks are always on point with a perfect blend of alcohol and the mix ins. Can't wait to be back!

I've dined at this restaurant before and had a wonderful experience, so I was excited to order in via DoorDash. Unfortunately, this time the food really missed the mark. We ordered the beet salad, Pollo Marsala, and spaghetti alle vongole. The beet salad was placed directly on top of the hot items, so by the time it arrived, it was wilted and warm--definitely not how a fresh salad should be served. Both main dishes arrived very soupy, lacking the richness and balance I've come to expect from this place. The Pollo Marsala had overcooked chicken and mashed potatoes that were oddly runny, more like grits in consistency. The saving grace was the side of broccolini, which was flavorful and well-prepared. As for the spaghetti alle vongole, I couldn't eat it. It was extremely salty and also came swimming in a thin broth instead of a cohesive sauce. I understand that presentation can suffer with delivery, especially in cardboard containers, and while the restaurant clearly made an effort to package things nicely, the food just didn't hold up. Disappointed, especially knowing how great the food can be when dining in. Hoping this was just an off day.

This one was an exciting one to try only because there are multiple locations and the idea of trying each one sounds fun! So far been to 2/6 The lobster ravioli is delicious and the sauce on the piccata was amazing!! The restaurant is located in the corner sort of, it looks like a cute little house and gives off rustic vibes. Overall I enjoyed the food and quality here, I will say they aren't very accommodating when it comes to switching things up unless that was just my waitress, it seemed like if I wanted to switch out pork on any meal for different kind of meat (can't eat pork) it was not possible or not recommended by her. Overall this was super yummy and we will be back!!

AUTHENTIC AND AMAZING! I celebrated my birthday with my family. It was like walking into a little place in Italy. The decor is quaint and is beautifully decorated. There is also an outside seating area. Everything was delicious. The waitress and waiters are very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to celebrate something special or just an evening out.

The outside ambiance is nice ! The food portion is plenty! The best part was the wine ! The pastas are a bit bland to my taste as my husband's. The waiter was not very hospitable and only checked in on us twice ( if that). For the price you pay not worth it for Italian food .

The service style is quite homey, welcoming you like part of their familiar family. The key thing about this brightly busy place is that the items can vary a bit between outstanding, such as their version of Burrata salad, and others are decidedly just okay - nothing to write home about, but passable for basic Italian (such as the grilled octopus, which is nice, but simply a chewy and regular smoky version, though quite generous size-wise, isn't anything more than an elementary version. But since the restaurant is attempting to go for a much more upscale crowd and prices everything accordingly, it's a bit jarring when you get the bill not to have eaten uniformly memorable bites or imbibed the best of the best. The lamb ragu on house-made penne for example, is nice and nourishingly home-spun, but pricing it up in the $30 range needs more than a scattering of peas and truffle oil to bring it beyond its humble roots as a meat-based carbonara. Their fried seafood mixto was quite good, with just a brushing of crispy coating, and nothing over-done, and really was a fun crunchy appetizer.Of the desserts, the pistachio creme tart stood out, with the limoncello lacking enough citrusy flavor to stand out, and the affogato was a reasonable Illy-style espresso over a relatively plain vanilla gelato. My one big caution at the moment is the parking lot - it's extremely dark with no lighting. But the hazard is that the lot was re-striped and now the parking space stops are 50% extending into the walking path, and completely are invisible as you try to navigate between the cars back to yours. 2 of our party tripped over these, not seeing anything of them in the pitch black lot. The lot is being the BBQ restaurant, which was closed on Sunday, contributing to the lack of drive-through activity. Please be cautious and might need your phone light out to illuminate your path in the lot.

I cannot believe that for the price you pay for a bread, they would serve this. I also ordered a black coffee, but it tasted like it had been sitting there since the morning and tasted really nasty. I asked to have a hot tea instead. Food was good. We ordered spaghetti, carbonara, some chicken dish, and a grilled salmon. Marinara was standard -potato-leek puree (4/5): came in a cute little cup to drink out of, good flavor -gamberoni (5/5): prawns were a good size and perfectly grilled. The sauce was a good addition -polette (4/5): meatballs were juicy and the pesto was flavorful and creamy. It's located on the borderline of Walnut Creek and Alamo-ish areas, and certainly not in an area most people would be driving by unless you live in this area since it's mostly residential here, or you're driving through Olympic locally for something in that direction that's not the downtown. First things first, it's a small place. It's a local market, so it's not going to be very large. They do have their own parking lot in the front, and there's also plenty of parking in the back as well, so that shouldn't be an issue here even though the store is small. While I've seen some people note this as a Japanese market, it is not. While they carry a small section of Japanese stuff, here, most of the things are very much a Chinese focused type of offerings, from the types of produce, to the packaged stuff here. They'll have some miscellaneous stuff like a section just for pastas and sauces in the right side of the store on a rack, they're mostly a Chinese market. If you need a comparison, they're like a mini 99 Ranch. Price wise, it's about right for this area. If you compare it to other grocery market chains it's definitely not comparable, but for a local market in this area, it's not bad. The fish is indeed on the more expensive side, but it does look pretty fresh at least so there's that. They also have some to-go sushi boxes of stuff. It's nice to see they have a variety of offerings from their sushi to-go options, albeit, not cheap but at least they did look pretty good though. The sashimi boxes looked great because the fish quality appears to be great here. The only thing again, it is a bit pricey for some of these options, so just be aware of that. Green Fish is a nice little market for this area, and certainly will have a variety of things here you may be interested in. Again, it's not a large market, so just be aware of space if they do get busy. The fish counter is literally wedged into the corner of the store, but still offers fresh seafood options for those locally to buy from (albeit a bit pricey). They have offerings of various things akin to 99 Ranch, but certainly more focused on mostly Chinese and Japanese as oppose to Ranch that offers a lot of different Asian brands too. While they have pastas and sauces and stuff, that's basically it for the non-Asian market stuff. This is very much an Asian market. I will definitely want to try out some of those takeout rolls and maybe their sashimi eventually.
