Visited local table cypress for the first time last night! Such a fun environment! We loved our food and waitress, Olivia. She was super helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. This place has only been open 3 weeks, but already I've heard so many rave reviews that I feared it wouldn't live up to expectations. But it did not disappoint! I went for an early lunch with a friend today. The place has a warm yet crisp atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, especially our server Haley and her trainee. We even spoke with one of the owners. We both ordered the Ultimate Bloody Mary. It was beautiful and tasty. We shared a veggie pizza with roasted Brussels sprouts on a cauliflower crust and it was surprisingly good. I liked the chewiness of the crust. But the highlight was the baked goat cheese. Run, don't walk, to try this! I preferred to eat the goat cheese on my leftover cauliflower crust, than the baguette pieces. But truly, I could have been happy eating it off the spoon! read more

I only took one star way because the server seemed in a hurry. We very easily could have had another round of drinks but the bills were printed before we got a chance to order. Very pleased with my first dining experience at the Cypress location - I preferred it over the Katy location! I always comb through the menu online before going out to dine. However, when I got to the restaurant they did not have the Brussel Sprout Salad with Goat Cheese Balls on that day's menu... to my surprise, they happily offered to make the salad. Beautiful establishment located on Fry Road near the Bridgeland community, with Local Bar across from it, perhaps the same owner, serving Mediterranean/Southwestern style dishes. Carrying with a baby in a stroller with my wife, the hostess was so kind to sprint to the door and held it opened for us, despite the chilly, windy weather today. We were seated, strategically, to have more room with the baby stroller and room for the baby in car seat by the window. The menu was elaborate and it took us a little while to know what we wanted. We ended up getting the chicken fried chicken with mashed potato and green beans plus the gyros plate with soft warm pita, salad, and hummus in the entree menu. The dishes looked amazing and the portion was huge to our surprise, for lunch. The chicken cutlet was fried a little dark but it was full of flavor and juicy. The mushroom sauce over the cutlet and the mash were well balance. The green beans were well cooked but a little bit salty to my taste. There was also a half slice garlic bread to compliment. For the gyros plate, there were at least 5 strips of meat over a bed of seasoned fries, which was also a little bit too salty. The sauces and hummus came on the side as well as the salad. It came also with 2 pieces warm, quarter pita. The meat was delicious and the jalapeño hummus was spot on. We both wished that we could get half the fries and more pita to go better with the hummus. Overall, the experience was great (our waitress was having a trainee today and was occasionally attentive). Local table is located in the cutest center, which can be rare for the Cypress area. When I initially arrived, I was disappointed it seemed like there was only parallel parking. (Not my forte) Thankfully, there are lots located on each side of the center. The employees were all helpful and friendly. Food was super fresh and yummy! The poblanos chicken was delicious! I'm on a special diet for health reasons, and they were able to accommodate me with no issues. This is a great brunch spot! I will definitely be back to try more food! read more

I went there and told the owner, - I have a life-threatening nut allergy can you accommodate me.? He told me NO. which I totally appreciate his honesty. I then posted a warning that if anybody has nut allergies with children do not go there because they can't accommodate. And he had all his buddies reply and tell me to eat nuts and drop dead. I have been here many times with my family. I was here tonight with my son who wanted a break from studying just to be confronted by a very rude waitress. I asked if our drinks could be served in "to go" cups and she looked at me like I was nuts. I don't see anything wrong with asking for drinks in "to go" cups during a pandemic. We've been to numerous restaurants during the pandemic and the staff completely understands and is so sincere. Not tonight. She was very nasty and I didn't want to continue arguing with her in front of my teenage son. We just went to this restaurant to have a nice time and this is what I walked into!! She went and asked the manager if we could have "to go" cups for our drinks. He said it was fine. This was so ridiculous as I was treated like a child! When we go back to Local Table as we've been many times, I will request a different waitress. She made this a very ugly experience for us. My son didn't need to deal with this tonight. We went to say hi to our friend Jose who is now the Manager of the bar and the new local bar next door to Local Table. When we sat down we were served by Savanna and Cory. They were really nice and great bartenders! We saw firsthand how amazing Cory the bartender can whip up a bunch of cocktails for the waiter. He was moving soo fast and both my husband and I we're in Awe!! He is amazing! Love that this place employs both genders as bartenders and does not have the women wait staff wearing skimpy outfits that show too much. This place also serves really good food! We had the meatloaf and chicken fried chicken plate and it was amazing! We saw the fruit and pepper infused vodka and gave it a try. It was great! This place was so good! Vegans of cypress you must come here. You will not be let down. The vegan options available are few but very delicious! I had the Mediterranean bowl and my partner had seitan "steak". Both of these dishes were flavorful and filling, AND all vegan. I'm so glad to have a place that offers these options in the area. As for the ambiance, it was busy but very enjoyable and comfortable. Make reservations, it will be worth it when it comes to getting a seat without too much waiting. Staff was very pleasant as well. The only suggestion I would make is that the cocktail menu be more specific as far as which drinks are martini's and which drinks are actual cocktails. Other than that, awesome place! read more

Just tried this spot today and it did not disappoint. First off our server (Micheal) was great, was super attentive to us and was even playing and joking around with our little 7 year old and even gave her a treat when we were closing out. Second the food was just wow my girlfriend and I got the spicy shrimp tacos and southern chicken fried chicken while our daughter got the penne pasta with meatballs and we all absolutely loved it very delicious, our daughter almost finished all of it (which trust me is a big deal).
