Came here for brunch with my mom and son and was pretty disappointed. Right from the beginning, the 2 hosts never smiled at us or greeted us making us feel welcomed. i didn't think too much off it but after putting the whole experience together, it makes a difference. My son wanted a hot chocolate, it was served in a plastic cup for cold liquid. Like something you would use for to go sodas or iced tea. Had to ask the waiter ti give me something meant for hot liquids. The food came out and it was not memorable and definitely not worth the price. read more

My daughter recommend this restaurant to my husband and I. We thought we would give it a go and it was AMAZING! The food was delicious, the portions were large and fresh and the service was top notch ( thank you to our server Abraham D). It is also nice to finally find a restaurant that serves vegan dishes. My family and I didn't know we had this so close to our house, so we decided to eat here for lunch today (6/27). It was pretty good! We enjoyed everything we ordered. The smoked salmon dip was good but it was not the best I have ever had. I didn't really taste any flavor other than the smokiness of the salmon until I ate it with the cucumbers. The bread bites provided were thick and crunchy and did not add any flavor to the dish at all. The cucumbers were amazing, and they were covered in a delicious sauce that went well with the smoked salmon. That oThe artichoke dip was fantastic! No complaints there. The drink I ordered was really good as well. I can't remember what it was called, but it was a bit spicy and added cucumbers, so it was refreshing too. Perfect midday drink. He simply did not have an opinion. I came in at a very slow time, so not sure if it was because of transition, or whatever. Anyways, I ordered the following: A mushroom burger with sweet potato fries Gyro plate Mushroom burger was dry. I thought how can anyone mess up this one? The bun was large compared to how much Patty there was. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Crispy and soft in the inside. The gyro was good and the fries were flavorful. Definitely would like to come back for that if I'm around the area. The meat was flavorful and tzaki sauce was great. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this local place yet! Local Table is our go to neighborhood spot for dinner. Their menu has extensive options for anything you may be craving from pizza to salads to burgers to vegan options! Best part for me, they have plenty of gluten free options! As we have never had a bad meal here, I can recommend some of my favorite dishes including the brussel sprout appetizer, the combination kabob plate, the honey glazed salmon and the beef fajita salad. You can't really go wrong with anything on the menu, those are just our go to meals to order! I am so thankful that something local and delicious had made its way to Cypress! The family also owns Hungry's in town, which is one of my favorite restaurants for salmon! The location is right off Fry road in front of Bridgeland community and there is plenty of parking. The decor is really cute! They have a big light up sign that says CTX which would be fun for Instagram photos. What's also cool is there is a bar that opens to the patio so you can access it from inside or outside. The kitchen is open concept so you can smell the amazing aromas float through the restaurant. Service is usually good, depending on the experience of the server. But overall we had pleasant experiences. Food: Get the cast iron baked goat cheese. Do it. It's so delicious. I'll let you try it and let you form your opinion on it. The honey glazed ginger salmon is a usual for me. The salmon is perfectly grilled and comes with a side of rice with lentils and veggies. It's so good! The Hawaiian pizza is also very delicious. And you can't go wrong with a side of fries. I'm not sure what exactly they season them with, but it's pretty addicting. My husband really enjoys the chicken fried chicken and he has ordered it the last three times we have been there. He says it's more chicken than batter, which is pretty rare for most places. The local sampler hummus plate is just okay. I kept hoping for a kick the flavor, but I never got it. They all tasted exactly the same, just had a different color. The Taos Tartare is very delicious and flavorful if you enjoy ahi tuna. The frose is delicious and refreshing! We were looking for a fun place to take my grandmother for her 80th birthday. I found this place right away on yelp! It has tons of great reviews and pictures! I knew we wouldn't be disappointed! Local Table in Cypress is one of the only restaurants near us that offers a nice atmosphere for a sit-down meal, but I feel like all of the menu items I have tried there so far are just "pretty good," and the flavors in the dishes are either really strong, or barely there. The salads are big and full of interesting ingredients (the Brussels sprout salad is my favorite, but the Local Farmer's Market Salad is also good, too), but they are not something I crave, and are sometimes overdressed. The ahi tuna tartare appetizer is also one of my favorites, but the portion is so small, ordering one portion to share usually only means you get one bite of the tartare that actually has tuna in it. I have tried the Lemon Pasta with and without shrimp and still don't know how I feel about it, it just lacks flavor. The service at Local Table is also pretty good, but the wait time after you order can be very long during peak times, or very short if it's not busy. All that being said, we will continue to go to Local Table because it really is pretty good and we don't have many other options, but hopefully with the weather changing and the holidays looming, hopefully they will add some new seasonal items to the menu that will be more than just pretty good. We ate here a few weeks ago and still dream about it. HOLY GUACAMOLE. Cypress is just wrong for not sharing this place! I ordered the meatloaf - perfect in temperature and the sauce was out of this world good. A little sweet but it was so good. There was a gravy on the potatoes and OH MY GOD it was like nothing I have ever put in my mouth!!!! It's green in color so it made me a little nervous but put that to the side. Thank me later. My husband ordered the burger and it came out at a good temperature and well seasoned! The bun was so soft and had a GREAT flavor. The fries were so good and well seasoned! Lastly, we ordered the bread pudding & lava cake. The bread pudding was a top 3 dessert for us. Easily. It is cooked on a croissant so the texture was not the same as a normal bread pudding but it was DIVINE. SO GOOD!!! The lava cake was just okay. Not enough filling and was a bit dry. The gyros meat kept this from being a lower rating bc that tasted good. The service and atmosphere were nice. Food, not so much. Hummus was watered down. Chicken fried chicken tasted more like Parmesan chicken batter and not what we expected. Cocktail tasted too much like juice.
