I really really want to love this place but.... The selection they have for people with nut/seeds/tomato allergies is almost nonexistent. A lot of their dishes have chipotle chili sauce or a sauce with jalapeños. When ever my friends want to go here it is difficult to find something for me to order. Usually when this happens at a restaurant I order a Caesar salad; but they do not even have a Caesar salad. Our waiter told me to order a pizza. But wait-it has tomato sauce. They don't have a pizza with white sauce. So no pizza for me either. (And my friends pizza looked great) The restaurant is very cute, the staff is spot on. The outdoor patio would be wonderful on a sunny day. They just need some entrees withOUT all the sauces, seeds, nuts and jalapeños. A (spinach) pizza with Alfredo sauce would be amazing! read more

This was my second time here for brunch because my brother suggested it to me over First Watch. Maybe he hyped it up, but it still wasn't as great as he made it sound. 2 pm on a Sunday, there was no wait for a party of 8 which was great. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict this time. Flavor was okay. It was fried nicely and there was a nice crisp on the outside, but the inside is mushy and a sweetness I wasn't fond of. Poached egg was done decent (my friend's was overcooked). Potatoes were fine, but again a sweetness that I didn't care for. Ciabatta bread was too hard to even cut through with a knife. I also ordered appetizers: Shrimp Ceviche, Hummus, and Artichoke Dip - These, fortunately and unfortunately, were our favorites of everything we ate. Good thing we ordered these or else we would've all been hungry and disappointed with the rest of our entrees. I gave it a second chance and other than for the location, ambiance and appetizers I can't say that I would suggest it or care to come back. read more

UPDATE - After posting this review the Manager reached out to us and apologized that no one told him we were there for our 6pm reservation. He also reversed the charge on our credit card for dinner. He has renewed our faith in Local Table - we will be back again. We were under the impression that Local Table was open for dinner on Thanksgiving. We actually made a reservation through their website for Thanksgiving day at 4pm. We received a text message confirming our reservation for our family of four. Well, Thanksgiving day came and we found out they were indeed closed. We scrambled to find another place to have Thanksgiving. We ended up at Cracker Barrel and when we arrived there at 3pm were told they were out of turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and just about everything else. My husband went to Local Table today (Friday) just to talk to the Manager (Mike) to let him know what happened. Mike was very apologetic and said the reservation system goes though corporate and not their location. Hubby said we just wanted you to know what happened so that in the future they could block the days they aren't open so you can't make a reservation. Mike thanked him and said "let me buy you dinner." Hubby made reservations for tonight at 6pm with Mike "The Manager". We arrived tonight at 6pm and the restaurant was pretty empty so they seated us right away. We said we had a reservation and the gentlemen in the front said he would take care of it. While we were sitting at our table we got a text that said our reservation had been cancelled. Our server came to take our order and asked if we had had a good Thanksgiving. We both laughed and said "no." We proceeded to tell him with happened with the reservation and that Mike "The Manager" said he was buying us dinner tonight. We ordered an app (goat cheese - delicious) and then our entrees (hubby - salmon, me lemon pasta with grilled chicken - the most ungrilled chicken I've ever seen). After we finished our dinner our server brought us our check. We saw Mike "The Manager" a few times, he knew we were coming in for dinner on him, but he never made it over to our table. Needless to say, we paid for dinner and will not be back to Local Table. read more

Lunch here is really good. The menu is really varied and has at least one thing that will satisfy a group with varied lying palettes. I recommend the Chipotle Cheddar Burger and the Gyro Plate. The waitstaff accidentally delivered my food to another table, but they caught the mistake themselves and rectified it without me having to say a thing. They even went overboard and gave me free hummus and a discount on my drink and meal. They apologized a lot, and I had to tell them a couple times that everything is okay and that they can stop apologizing. Overall I'd say it's a nice local place to have lunch at. read more

Our 2nd time eating here and picked up a meal to go. The lemon pasta was very good the first time I had it and tasted very fresh with capers and sun dried tomatoes. This time, however, the pasta came with literally pasta and chicken, none of the other ingredients that made it delicious. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to the capers, crushed red peppers, and sun dried tomatoes. My husband got the kabob plate and the meat was far from tender and juicy, very dry. The vegetables on the kabob plate were pretty good. We will give it one more try but wish it were consistent in presentation and flavor. read more

I can definitely say the food lacks luster. If you desire bland, this is the place for you! It stays packed...peep the crowd. I've ordered from here several times trying a number of their offerings, with less than satisfactory outcomes. Today (14Aug2024) I tried the chicken salad sandwich, with their house made chips and pasta salad. The bread was supposed to be a croissant, but definitely not of the flaky, soft and buttery consistency. Chicken salad was dry and rather tasteless for all of the ingredients it was said to include. No offering of tomatoes, lettuce or other items that might spice it up. The chips were stale. The rice salad...no words. My daughter picked up this order and brought it to me fairly quickly. That said, seems the turnaround is fast. I skipped the dessert this time, as the chocolate lava cake when I ordered it last month. Well, I have given Local Table Cypress several tries. I'm done. Try it at your own risk. A last resort for sure, without a doubt for me! read more

We've been here a few times. The food is always very good and the service is on point. I've had Mama's Meatloaf several times and it is excellent. I will say during the most recent visit the meatloaf was not as tender as it's been in the past, but I know it usually is so I'm not going to let that deter me from getting it again in the future. My other half has had both the Mediterranean and honey ginger glazed salmon and enjoyed both. The spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and the croissant bread pudding for dessert and both excellent choices as well. It's pretty pricy but understandably...it's just not a place we can go to all the time. read more

The food and menu variety really make this place. The waitress we had was very friendly and chipper, although her visits to the table to check on us were almost a little too frequent which made it hard to hold a conversation with our companions. Ambiance is.... Intense. Nice industrial feel with a variety of table tops - bar seating, booths, high tops, large tables. However the noise level is so crazy (no live music or anything like that). The restaurant was packed and it was so bad between the waitress checking on us every 5 minutes and the noise from all the chatter we had to slightly yell at one another while visiting. Also there is very little space for people to wait to be seated, since we were seated near the front entrance those waiting on a table to open up began pushing into our table and chairs. My main complaint beyond the noise level though is the lack of small portions, small plate options or heck even being able to order a side a la cart. Your only option is to order a cup of soup or an appetizer. I really wish more restaurants would consider offering a variety of portion options. read more

Just what I needed! Great food and a outdoor bar! What more could you ask for? A well made cocktail that's what. I don't usually drink dark liquor but my friend talked me into trying a Manhattan. As I said I am not a whiskey drinker but that cocktail was fantastic. Add a good meal and you have a fan in me. read more

Came in on a Saturday night, and even though the place was busy, we were seated immediately. I was impressed with the different vegetarian options on the menu and we decided to try their quinoa and kale burger with a side of sweet potato fries and the quinoa and kale patty grains bowl. They also have a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. Portion size was great, and the burger was amazing. The bowl's presentation was appealing, but the quinoa/grains were slightly bland. This was my first time at Local Table and I was pleasantly surprised! I have never been this area of cypress, but it was a nice area to walk around as well. First, it is easy to get confused with Local Bar and Local Table but they are all next to each other. Just remember not to enter the Local Bar thinking its Local Table. Additionally, parking is street parking/ parallel but there is a parking lot if you drive around the area. When we entered, there was a lot of people waiting. Since it was two of us, we were able to get a spot right away and it was packed! It's also important to know it was a Thursday during holiday season which is probably why. When we sat down we were immediately greeted I ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was good! You can tell it was fresh and not very syrupy. I then ordered the Penne Rustica pasta entree. It was not bad when I tasted it however it wasn't great either. Needless to say, I would come back here to try another item as I loved the area and their selection. If anyone has been to Hungry's in Rice Village, it is very similar to that menu, almost the same. read more

this place is amazing and i totally recommend it. i come here often because their food and atmosphere is really nice! However, i called on the afternoon of july 4th to make a reservation on the 27th. The host that they transferred me to sounded clueless as I told him I wanted to make a reservation. I knew something was wrong when he asked for my number, but I didn't even get a confirmation text. Called again around an hour later to see if he actually made a reservation and he sounded just as clueless as before. He put me on hold, and then the phone hung up. Annoyed at the unprofessionalism, I called the very next day (july 5th in the afternoon) to confirm if I i had a reservation or not, the hostess this time sounded professional, and I was right. The host I talked to on the 4th did NOT book a reservation. But the hostess I talked to on the 5th actually made me one, so props to her. Another review I saw complained about the same thing (probably the same host). So until they re-train/fire that first host, BE CAREFUL when making a reservation here!! read more

It has a ginger flavor that it like a deep ginger, but not spicy ginger like tea. Hard to explain but, if you're not into ginger... don't order. I liked it a lot *Pizza- brussel and goat cheese -yes here we have it.. there she goes again with the brussel sprouts. I liked it that much I got the pizza! The slices are nice, small, and shareable. Easy to fall off the pizza in the middle since there's some heavy toppings. Ya know what I mean. I really liked the feta dressing to pair with the pizza to bring out the flavor more. Fries before Guys So there they have sweet potato and hand cut fries. Highly recommended by the server since they have their special seasoning for fries. Hehe I liked some of the dressings to pair to fries to spice it up a bit. They have feta, cilantro ranch, jalapeño and more. Add your server for more details. I asked for recommendations ... and they say everything! I'm like uhhh come on! Give me the scoop! So they say Baja chicken, Hawaiian chicken pizza..... and Brussels are the most ordered. Ambience, food and service were great here! My bestie and I went out for a long overdue dinner date. Our server was Roberto and he was FANTASTIC! We ordered the chicken fried chicken, which was a thick and juicy piece of yummy meat! We also had the pasta (forgot the name) with jalapeño sausage. It was good, lacked sauce (super dry) and a little flavor. Sausage was great! We ordered a side of fries which was eh, just okay. Then we ordered dessert....2 of them because why not!? We had banana bread pudding and chocolate molten cake. The pudding was a croissant with apple filling and ice cream (gave me more apple pie vibes). It was my fave of the 2 but def not a bread pudding. The chocolate cake was good, maybe more ok. We enjoyed it bc we sat outside and were cold from the constant breeze (lol) but def warmer than the icebox inside the restaurant - which several customers mentioned as they walked out into warmth. I'm such a sucker for good meatloaf!!! Yum Yum Yum! It was definitely a slight twist to regular meatloaf with more of a tomato sauce as opposed to just a layer of ketchup. It comes with green beans and mashed potatoes but I got a wedge salad instead. My bf ordered a bacon, cheese burger with fries and a molten lava cake for dessert. I also tried the local mule drink but didn't quite like it. Other than that everything else was good. We came Friday evening around 6ish and despite it being busy we were seated right away. Came here with my colleague on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant has excellent vibes, great staff, an attentive manager, and nice atmosphere overall. Well designed and very neat layout. Our waitress was Ayesha or Leshia and she did an amazing job throughout the entire evening. Took our orders without even writing them down and got em all right! Started with the tomato basil soup, I'd recommend it. Also, the restaurant should buy bigger spoons for that cup of soup. We also had the hummus appetizer and it was pretty good. Local Table offers American style comfort food. Has a bar, couple TVs, modern rustic look with bricks and subtle lighting. Has the feel of a place to bring family or the buddies for a drink after work. It's non-evasively tucked in behind Bridgeland's residential local area called the Lakeland Village Center but prominently displays in front and center. Our server did a great job. I had a raspberry lemonade that doesn't come with refills. My pasta dish was good, penne rustíca with roasted tomato cream sauce. My wife ordered gyros and the kids pizza and pasta. Can't say there was anything extremely memorable about the place besides the "CTX" lights display which is perhaps their unique display. I will say although this was my first time I'm willing to say that this is a solid place to bring the family for a good meal with various offering if you live in Cypress, don't want to drive far, and the group can't decide on what type of food to eat. Not worth it. Over $100 for lunch for 3 drinks (non-alcoholic), one appetizer, 3 meals and one kid's meal! The yummy goat cheese appetizer still steals the show. The rest of the meal was fine. I ordered fried eggs and specifically asked for them to be cooked well, but had to send them back. The second go round they were still runny. Ugh. As usual, the food was delicious. I ordered the grilled salmon with wedge and couscous salad. I also ordered a slightly dirty martini, which was spot on. Service was good. Sat at the bar and was attended to fairly quickly. My only complaint is they took the beef tenderloin steak on ciabatta off the menu. It was my favorite and I miss it! Date night spot for the win!!! I wanted to try a new spot in Cypress and I'm glad I did. The service, the quality of food, & the cleanliness gave a great experience. Our waitress "Marisol" was very engaging, patient, & knowledgeable of the menu items. For a 1st timer she definitely made me comfortable in my food selection. I had the Anaheim Grilled Chicken w/mixed veggies which had a great blend of seasoning. Most restaurants provide veggie mix with the typical 3 (squash, cauliflower, & broccoli)...however this blend includes Brussels. Oh I can't forget the "Blue Crab Cake" which had a delicious kick of spice & a thin layer of crisp on the outside!!! My fiancé got the bun-less Burger which looked amazing.
