Green Chile shrimp ceviche: refreshing, fresh, well seasoned and balanced. Very appetizing and delicious starter! Chicken Tortilla Soup: not salty like other restaurants. Not the traditional gorilla soup. This is more like a fusion chicken tortilla soup. Overall, very different but tasty. One con on this soup though: the tortilla was all mushy in the soup. To my personal taste, It would be better if there are some crunch taste left when eating the soup. Mama's Meatloaf: just like its name. Very homey make meat food. A lot of real ground beef. A tad of spicy. I never eat meatloaf at restaurants but this was the first time I ate and I ate a lot. The mushroom gravy was perfectly seasoned to pair with the mashed potatoes. The green beans were crunchy and fresh. Forgot one more thing: their tap water tasted a bit weird. Overall, definitely recommend and will come back to try other dishes. Underwhelming. Service was slow. Ordered a bottle of red wine... it was COLD! If you want it at room temperature, you will have to ask as it is not offered as a choice. A manager offered to find a bottle of wine that was not cold, but by the time we got it our meal was done. We made the mistake of ordering an appetizer when we ordered our entree so the appetizer came with the entree. I sent the appetizer back. The kabob plate was lukewarm at best. Two skewers of meat, which was enough for us to share but it came with 1/2 a pita. The meat was dry and it wasn't served with tzatziki or other sauce. They switched our server who went out of his way to try and make up, but we were done and ready for the check. I have been here several times and had no complaints but I wouldn't choose to return except maybe for brunch and only then if it was someone else's request. read more

They were very busy so we had to keep catching our waitress to order etc. the food came out warm like it had been sitting there for a while before being brought to the table, including my side of fries. The goat cheese appetizer and mint tea were both great, but everything else just didn't end up being a large good as it read on the menu. My first time ever at local table and I was highly impressed. Service was above and beyond and highly attentive. The food was delicious! They had so many options and lots of vegan options as well which was a major bonus. I think I practically fell in love with this restaurant and next time my family is in town I'm certainly taking them here. Awesome fresh food made with love and flavor is on point. Service is a big deal to me and the teamwork that was displayed throughout this restaurant speaks volumes on behalf of the staff and leadership management. I think we need more places like this one. The menu is very diverse and there is a little bit of everything for every taste. A restaurant with Brussels sprouts and antibiotic free meat options definitively has my starts. The service was great and we were all very pleased with our meals. My only complaints: - The gyro plate should loose the fries and if you keep the fries they should go on a separate plate. It was very frustrating trying to enjoy my mea when the fixings were on a separate plate and my meat was stuffed in with a lot of potatoes. - I think the potatoes are seasoned with paprika or a spice blend that has paprika. Nothing wrong with it, I love the spice, but it was a bit overpowering. - We all agreed that a few of our dishes were lacking on flavor. (Philly Cheesesteaks, Artichoke and Spinach Dip) They were seasoned very lightly. Yes, there is s&p provided and it's easier to fix a meal lacking salt than a salty one, however, there should be some kind of consistency. Maybe it's because I'm Latina and all my food needs to have flavor from the start. Who knows? All in all, I think we will definitively go back when we are in the area. I'm assuming it's the Ahi tuna poke bowl and not the Vegan Mediterranean fusion bowl that we ordered. She didn't get off of work until 10pm and the restaurant is closed so we could not rectify the situation in order for her to eat tonight. If a restaurant is going to claim to meet special dietary needs they need to make sure they deliver. A person with food allergies could die. My husband and I (not vegans) had the rustico pizza and gyro wrap. They were just okay and cold, like refrigerated cold, by the time Uber eats delivered. If you are looking for a lackluster experience for being a new customer- this is the best spot to come. They do a good job of making you feel like you don't belong. Dont let the reviews fool you like they did us. We were welcomed with a warm smile at the front and seated promptly . The server was friendly but after observing how he was with everyone else- I realized we were targeted to be treated differently. Be prepared to have the server not acknowledge your order - even when you asked for a item twice. You will have to flag them down. As for their cooking of food- note they will over cook your chicken and beef but under cook your salmon. And be prepared to see the evening manager approach everyone but choose to ignore your table if you are new. This happened to us and when we told the server our salmon was under cooked at the end- the manager never came to apologize. Oh wait- they never bothered to talk to us to begin with so why would they care. Expect to waste your money here and be driven away to not return. read more

I started coming to local tables cypress numerous times in a month, since we moved to the neighborhood, we always have great time, my kids love the goat cheese appetizer. We tried the: 1)Texas Sandwich which comes with breakfast potatoes and a side of fruit, the sandwich is huge and filling, great combo. 2) All-natural chicken tortilla soup, topped with melted mozzarella cheese and tortilla stripes. It comes in a cup, it is very filling so you can have it as a meal by itself if you are not feeling super hungry, I am very impressed with the soup. 3) A side of fruit for $3. All the ingredients are locally sourced from nearby farms, and it sure tastes like that. Everything tastes very organic and clean, and they do offer a variety of healthy options. Once again, a super popular spot with inconsistent overpriced average food. I've had a sandwich there that was great and then other times, the food was not good. I told my waitress I am allergic to cucumbers but that put them in in all their salads so could I sub a regular salad. I get the bill and they up charged 5$. I refused to pay that. I really really want to love this place but.... The selection they have for people with nut/seeds/tomato allergies is almost nonexistent. A lot of their dishes have chipotle chili sauce or a sauce with jalapeños. When ever my friends want to go here it is difficult to find something for me to order. Usually when this happens at a restaurant I order a Caesar salad; but they do not even have a Caesar salad. Our waiter told me to order a pizza. But wait-it has tomato sauce. They don't have a pizza with white sauce. So no pizza for me either. (And my friends pizza looked great) The restaurant is very cute, the staff is spot on. The outdoor patio would be wonderful on a sunny day. They just need some entrees withOUT all the sauces, seeds, nuts and jalapeños. A (spinach) pizza with Alfredo sauce would be amazing! read more

Maybe he hyped it up, but it still wasn't as great as he made it sound. 2 pm on a Sunday, there was no wait for a party of 8 which was great. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict this time. Flavor was okay. It was fried nicely and there was a nice crisp on the outside, but the inside is mushy and a sweetness I wasn't fond of. Poached egg was done decent (my friend's was overcooked). Potatoes were fine, but again a sweetness that I didn't care for. Ciabatta bread was too hard to even cut through with a knife. I also ordered appetizers: Shrimp Ceviche, Hummus, and Artichoke Dip - These, fortunately and unfortunately, were our favorites of everything we ate. Good thing we ordered these or else we would've all been hungry and disappointed with the rest of our entrees.
