This is a healthy American food option in the Cypress area. When I visited the restaurant, I recognized a lot of names to dishes similar to Hungry's in Rice Village. Looked it up online and Local Table was actually created by the same family that owns Hungry's. It's basically the suburban version of Hungry's. That being said I will have to say that the OG Hungry's food is tastier than Local Table. However, the options here are good. There are a LOT of vegetarian options including vegan and gluten free (all clearly labeled on the menu, which is always a plus). My favorite dish is the Nutritious (salad bowl including a healthy patty). I also like the penne rustica pasta and tried the brussel sprouts goat cheese pizza for the first time. The pizza is good but it has a sweet flavor to it that I was not expecting. For the most part, you can't go wrong here. One vegetarian dish I might avoid is the black bean burger, which does not have your typical veggies inside (no cucumber, lettuce, tomato). The inside was very aesthetically pleasing but the entree's were subpar. We were a party of 8 and we were seated immediately upon arrival on a Sunday afternoon. The Mimosa Flight was larger than we anticipated. We were expecting small glasses of Mimosa. My favorite was the raspberry. Expect a large generous serving whenever you order the Mimosa Flight. A friend ordered a spicy margarita (not pictured) and she thought it was too spicy for her liking. Another friend ordered an Old Fashioned (not pictured) but he didn't like it either. They were able to switch out their drinks to another option. The appetizers were delicious! I definitely enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and house made hummus! The hummus was creamy but without dairy, the pita bread was soft and fluffy, and the ceviche was fantastic! My friends also really enjoyed the artichoke dip. As for the entrees, my Philly Cheesesteak minus the cheese and Mayo (due to my dairy allergy) was okay. The bread was a bit hard and the eggs weren't fried like advertised on the menu. They were over easy. My friends and I actually didn't receive our eggs until we asked for them since I suppose our waiter forgot. Our waiter was also playing "Where's Waldo" with us because he would just disappear whenever we needed him. We often asked the bus boys or other waiters for what we needed since we couldn't find our waiter. Overall, the decor was aesthetically pleasing, the location and restaurant is child-friendly, and the appetizers were delightful, but I wouldn't return for the entrees. Ever since moving to the Cypress area my wife and I have always seen Local Table packed! Inside and outside was always full and we were always like "we should try it one day". The prices are little on the higher end BUT that's because the portions are huge! The pictures below will show you what I'm talking about. Not showing us a kids burger which is could be good enough for and adult with what they give. The chipotle cheddar burger I got was delicious and tasty. Liquid runs a little bit. It all good just shows it's full of flavor. Chicken tender for kids is more than enough for my 2.5 year old and probably the right size for a 5-7 year old. I enjoyed my meal and so my family and friends the only reason I didn't give it 5 was because the waiter wasn't all attentive. We had to ask for a straw twice and ketchup. We didn't have to ask for refills because they gave us a jug of water. It did take a while for the bill to be picked up and I asked for a to go box that I waited 4-5 minutes for but never came. I saw the waiter go and do other stuff at that point I knew he forgot so we left. It could have been an off day for him as he did seem a little flustered but we still got our food and drinks. Our go to family dinner spot on this side of town. There are not too many places on this side of cypress that offer fresh quality food and a variety of healthy dish options. As someone who has to strictly watch what I eat, local table has become a favorite spot for me. Yes they are a bit be pricey, but their price matches their quality of ingredients. We come here probably 1-2 a month and we are never disappointed. Service is always attentive and kind. I don't think we have ever had a waiter or waitress that didn't give us good service. Seating is always clean and we are usually seated quickly, though we usually come on a weekday evening. I recommend giving them a try. read more

We have been here multiple times but I figured to make a mass post tonight! Normally, on the weekends and sometimes on Friday's, this plaza is packed. When they have farmers market or food truck days, it's harder to find parking. We made reservations on Friday both times because the wait is normally longer on Friday and weekends. We came between their M-F happy hour time for dinner! Our waiter was Kendall and he was amazing! Would definitely request for Kendall the next visit! He was extremely friendly, not awkward at all, and joked around with us! He recommended his favorites, we ordered, and came back constantly to check up on us. The food here is amazing! We came with a group of our friends from out of town and they loved their food! I got the grilled salmon wrap with ice berg lettuce as a side and OMG !!! Sober me would've still said this was the best seafood wrap I've ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly and delicious in the wrap! The jalepeno ranch was AMAZING!! I have been to the Katy location so I knew the food would be good but with all restaurants things are different. Food and drinks: my gimlet was amazing but my friends tried to order simple drinks that were not in the menu and were told it could not be done. They wanted a skinny lemon drop which is lemon sugar and a hot toddy which is hot tea lemon and bourbon or whiskey so I do not get how either could not be done. Saying this make sure to only order drinks on the menu. The food was great! Loved the added crunch on the goat cheese and the Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection. We each order tacos two spicy shrimp and one spicy beef to which the aioli sauce was lacking. We asked for more then the tacos were perfect. Other: The service was great. I made reservations a few hours before because the other reviews recommended we do so. We were seated quickly and our waitress came over a few seconds after we seat down. I liked our seat but it was rather warm in the area. We were seated near the window in a corner. If you are looking for a cool place go to the restroom it seems that is were they are pushing all the a/c. My only complaint would be the pesky fly that would not leave us along. Local Table is our favorite restaurant in Cypress The food, the service (Aaron, Juan, and Esteban), the cocktails (aka Happy Juice), the ambiance (it can get a little noisy, but it is a very nice environment), and of course how can we ignore how wonderful the manager, Michael is. Michael is great, he walks around and makes sure everyone's meal is as expected "delicious". The chicken pot pie ... soooo delicious and tasty. The pork rib tacos are tasty and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp tacos are delicious and flavorful The humus platter is fresh and it has a little kick to it The Blue Crab cakes .... My goodness! The tortilla soup is so tasty and with a little spicy personality Local Table is a great restaurant, for a date, with family, alone or with friends. We are there every Sunday after church. We like Local Table, we really do. I hate giving a negative review, but maybe reconsider Grub Hubbing from Local Table and only go in person. We had Local Table delivered this evening and Leo Getz (Joe Pesci) was right. They burnt the Gyro meat on the salad. The fries on the kids burgers were far from fresh and seemed like leftovers from an order a few hours ago. Our salads were otherwise good, and the fried goat cheese balls are still amazing. My guess is the wait staff figured no one would complain (Or at least it wouldn't be their problem if someone did). read more

If you are looking for a lackluster experience for being a new customer- this is the best spot to come. They do a good job of making you feel like you don't belong. Dont let the reviews fool you like they did us. We were welcomed with a warm smile at the front and seated promptly . The server was friendly but after observing how he was with everyone else- I realized we were targeted to be treated differently. Be prepared to have the server not acknowledge your order - even when you asked for a item twice. You will have to flag them down. As for their cooking of food- note they will over cook your chicken and beef but under cook your salmon. And be prepared to see the evening manager approach everyone but choose to ignore your table if you are new. This happened to us and when we told the server our salmon was under cooked at the end- the manager never came to apologize. Oh wait- they never bothered to talk to us to begin with so why would they care. Expect to waste your money here and be driven away to not return. read more

Always a great meal when we come here. A rustic look in the restaurant that is quite trendy. It usually pretty busy and should be. The service tends to be good, but not necessarily stellar. Our most recent visit the host let us know that he was not our waiter but he would take our order, and OH- our waitress would be a little bit because she was in the restroom. It was a good 5-10 minutes. We hope she washed her hands. We really didn't need to know that. The host could have easily just made it look as though they were all working as a team and gotten drinks rather than making me concerned our waitress was sick. Our food however is and always is outstanding. I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade, and gyros. You can't go wrong with their hummus, salads, and potato soup. Enjoy!! read more

Not the traditional gorilla soup. This is more like a fusion chicken tortilla soup. Overall, very different but tasty. One con on this soup though: the tortilla was all mushy in the soup. To my personal taste, It would be better if there are some crunch taste left when eating the soup. Mama's Meatloaf: just like its name. Very homey make meat food. A lot of real ground beef. A tad of spicy. I never eat meatloaf at restaurants but this was the first time I ate and I ate a lot. The mushroom gravy was perfectly seasoned to pair with the mashed potatoes. The green beans were crunchy and fresh. Forgot one more thing: their tap water tasted a bit weird. Overall, definitely recommend and will come back to try other dishes. Underwhelming. Service was slow. Ordered a bottle of red wine... it was COLD! If you want it at room temperature, you will have to ask as it is not offered as a choice. A manager offered to find a bottle of wine that was not cold, but by the time we got it our meal was done. We made the mistake of ordering an appetizer when we ordered our entree so the appetizer came with the entree. I sent the appetizer back. The kabob plate was lukewarm at best. Two skewers of meat, which was enough for us to share but it came with 1/2 a pita. The meat was dry and it wasn't served with tzatziki or other sauce. They switched our server who went out of his way to try and make up, but we were done and ready for the check. I have been here several times and had no complaints but I wouldn't choose to return except maybe for brunch and only then if it was someone else's request. read more

My friend ordered the quinoa eggs Benedict and she cleared her plate. She usually doesn't eat everything on her plate, so it must have been good. We be heard good things about area Local Tables, so I jumped at the chance to meet for lunch when a friend suggested it. We sat outside on the patio and our server promptly brought a carafe of water. He gave us plenty of time to catch up with one another before we ordered, coming by every 10 minutes to see if we were ready. We never felt rushed. My friend ordered a favorite of hers, a Brussels sprout salad with chicken. I tried the gyro wrap with wedge salad. The salad was modest, but well prepared and sized well for the meal. The gyro was typical. There was so much sauce, I really couldn't taste the lamb or seasonings. That's probably the only thing I can fault.
