I love coming here to meet up with friends after a long week. The food and drinks here are good. I dont know why they got rid of reservations when there is still COVID. Most diners d9nt have yelp so they may not know there is a waitlist you can use. Even I didnt know till I got there that they have a waitlist option on yelp. It's also freezing cold out and since people cant gather and wait inside most hang outside or in their cars...I dont think that's an efficient way to run this. There needs to be a better way. Now to the food: I had the delicious local lime rice bowl which I loved! Its fresh with lots of veggies. Drink: i tried their new blood orange margarita which was good Dessert: the apple crisp was warm and yummy paired with the icecream. Service: our waitress was attentive and came around multiple times to make sure we were good and very accommodating. Overall, I enjoyed dining here although we waited about an hour for a table which was at the bar area. Five stars. Well deserved, all day long. We came here for dinner around 5:45 on a Saturday night. We had about a 45 minute wait, which wasn't that bad, since they had a great text message system to tell you that your reservation was ready. You're able to walk around the mall and get the "your reservation is near ready" about 10 minutes before your table was actually ready. When we were seated, our waitress was so, so nice. She took our appetizer orders, brought our drinks quickly, and when our appetizers came out she took our regular orders. Now about the food. It was amazing. So fresh and full of REAL ingredients. We ordered the chips and salsa trio and the ceviche for appetizers. The chips and salsa were great and the ceviche was exceptional. It was full of fresh lime flavor and the tastiest avocados for the base. For our entrees I got the Local Fresco Bowl and my hubby got the shrimp fajitas. For mine, it was heaven to eat. I heard angels sing when I took bites. I added fajita vegetables and chicken to it, which were a nice add but honestly not completely necessary. Mine also came with salad dressing on the side, but the bowl honestly didn't need it. For my hubby's shrimp fajitas, he loved them but his only negative feedback was that they only give you three tortillas, and five would be better since the portion sizes were large. I chose the drunken beans (who wouldn't??) & jalapeño coleslaw (that may not be the exact name but it's an accurate description). The tacos were pretty salty. My friend ordered salmon & they brought the wrong order (they offer 2 different salmon dishes). The manager (I assumed) was asking customers how their meal was. We mentioned the mix-up & he offered to comp his meal which we declined (even though it was wrong, he woofed it down). He likes salmon cooked on the rare side & they got it right! We ordered salsa (not sure if you get complimentary salsa like other places). You get to choose 3 from several different ones- all very good. One bite of rum cake tasted stronger than the margaritas. This place is oooozing with atmosphere. The decor is phenomenal--could have stayed all night! The tortilla chips are nice and thick perfect for dipping your salsa and queso. My tamales with chicken were good although the mass and meat were a tad dry. The cilantro rice was spectacular and I ate every last grain. My other side was drunken beans which were yummy!! We really enjoyed Local Lime! Had it a few times in Little Rock years ago and were excited it came to NWA. We started with the salsa trio- zucchini salsa is pretty epic, you wouldn't go wrong if you just did all 3 cups in that. Also really liked the 3 chilis- if you like a more Smokey salsa that's for you. For our meals we went with Chicken tortilla soup - somewhat spicy, but very tasty - and spinach enchiladas - very tasty! Sides of slaw and pickled veggies were both very good! Pickled veggies was 99% carrots but I love carrots so it was a win. Really didn't seem like much food when it came out - the cups the sides come in are very deceptive in size- but couldn't finish it all! Before you head here be aware you're in for more of a Chuys/Table Mesa kind of "Tex Mex" Mexican and not La Huerta/Azul Tequila kind of Mexican experience. We will be back for sure! read more

My first time here and my wife's 2nd. Got here at 5:00 pm on Saturday no wait for two. It's 5:30 and there is now a wait. I did like that the menu does not have tons of choices. When my wife unwrapped her flatware from the knapkin, there was some dry food stuck on the knife!! When we were finished with our meal, a gentleman came by and introduced himself as Ben the owner. He asked us how our was our server? We said excellent! We told him about the dirty flatware (the knife to be exact) and he apologized. I ordered chicken enchiladas. It came with a cup of rice and a cup of black beans. This dish was ok. My wife has the tuna tacos and she liked them. We have been coming to Local Lime since its opening. The food and presentation has always been spot on. Today was different. The Ahi Tuna cevicehe is always my preferred dish. It is normally constructed neatly in a mold and served beautifully with lightly seared, almost raw Tuna. The perfect way to serve ahi Tuna. The serving I got today was lazy. The Tuna was cooked almost brown and it was dumped in a bowl. The flavor was ruined by the overcooked Tuna. We will return again and hope for a redemptive experience next time. read more

I love how fresh everything tasted! The wait was bad at brunch on Sunday. The service was very slow, maybe because of how busy they were. We were told 25-30 min wait and they'd text when our table was ready. We got a text after about 10 mins but we were not expecting it so early so we noticed it 10 mins late. A host said "I'm sorry we had to skip you, another 30 mins now", even though we were sitting in front of him the whole time! A manager or waiter seated us 2 mins later though, thankfully. I didn't judge the service too hard because they're so new. Husband was not happy with how long it took us to get silverware once the food finally came out. I'd say they definitely need to update their menu and maybe revamp of their recipes too. This is more of an Arkansans idea of what Mexican food is. Like when I was a kid and my mom made spaghetti, enchiladas, pizza and anything else red with canned Hunts spaghetti sauce... you can eat it and if you pretend that it's not what they call it but it's a totally different dish you're like, yeah man, that was some great totally unknown dish. They should name it and start a restaurant based on that one thing. Oh, and... they need to get the orange man with tiny hands out of the tortilla kitchen. They serve their giant plate of fajitas with three very tiny and very thick wads of dough. This is not a 1-off, it's every time. Like I said, we do go there pretty often.
