Best decision I've ever made. I'd been battling ants for a couple weeks, no trails just some here and there in different rooms both up and downstairs, bought new spray, washed floors, kept crumbs, pet food, kid spills to a minimum, nothing helped! Finally made the decision to call a professional because what I was doing obviously wasn't working!! I googled companies clicked on The Local Bug Guy and filled out the online form. I honestly can't say enough about these guys, awesome is an understatement. Matt came out, explained what he does, how the company works and what to do if we weren't satisfied. He went around the whole outside, yard, garage, found the ants, sprayed literally everywhere and I haven't seen a single ant since that day. These guys are GOOD!! I used to be with another company, but they kept raising my invoices, and only servicing my area every other week or so. So a neighbor said to call the Local Bug Guy. I did, and it has been well over 2 years since then. In all honesty, pest control chemicals are all the same, but costs and customer service are not!! Brent has always been helpful and gets the job done right. I do not have too many pest issues, but when I call, they call back within hours, and Matt usually responds the same day. Never once has the invoice increased. I can only say, change your pest company, they are reasonable and do a fantastic job. I have been using the Local Bug Guy for almost 2 years. The ant problem was issue inside and outside the house. We used Terminix for a year before calling the Local Buy Guy but the problem persisted. The chemical from Terminix did not work for our house in Temecula. We finally called the Local Buy Guy and they came out right away. They sprayed inside and outside the house that first time and the ant problem was gone in a week. I can't tell you enough about this company. They are professional and they are effective on bugs. Brent, the owner of Local Bug Guy, got back to me the fastest and before they were even open. He answered all my questions and got me in touch with the scheduler Julie. Julie was courteous and helpful over the phone and was able to send out another employee (her brother Jimmy) out to my residence the same day. He is AMAZING! Best I have ever experienced. We have tried Home Team Pest Defense, SPOT, Terminix and other companies who have never done as great of a job. I constantly got the run around with our previous pest control company. They were unprofessional, rude and never showed up when they said they would. I have 2 young children and our problem with black widows was never handled properly. Brent came out and took care of all our pest needs the first time. He was also empathetic to the fact that I was worried about my kids' safety. Here we are about six weeks after our initial treatment and we're getting used not being a part of the ant kingdom. We did have a second treatment for an ant colony that took up residence in a potted plan in our courtyard. After that colony was taken care of we've been totally and free and just this morning my wife commented that she hasn't been thinking about ants so it's a success. I could not be more impressed with this service. I truly feel like I'm living in a new house! Literally within hours of our outside perimeter spray, every single ant disappeared from inside the house. We have not had a single problem since then. It was really frustrating and time-consuming trying to be super fastidious every day and make sure there was not a single morsel of food, and simply irritating to see the ants crawling along the floor moulding every day in every room regardless of how clean I kept the area. One small slip-up ( a drop of bacon grease or a product in the pantry not sealed air-tight) and we'd come downstairs the next morning to an absolute invasion. We live in brand-new construction, and we had only been settled for 3 months before our ant problem began. It truly tainted our experience as new homeowners with pride of ownership to have ants literally everywhere, not to mention all the $ and food wasted when we had to constantly purge our pantry. Occasionally they would even find their way into a new, sealed bag of something and we'd have to toss it. We can finally use our trash can again and make cookies for the holidays without putting them in an ant-safe "moat". It just feels so much cleaner and better with them gone. It's great to also see them gone from the outside, not attacking our trashcans and streaming along the outside of the house. I'm still getting used to waking up each morning without the dread of having to clean up thousands of ants in the kitchen before being able to start my day. It's such a simple thing but so great to have that pride of ownership back. It was well worth the price and time to have Brent come out and I could not be more appreciative!! We hired Brent in October for a disgusting black widow problem; this man knows his bugs! I contacted him and he was at my house a few days later. He we prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and very fairly priced. One of my favorite parts of Brent's service is that is recurring, so I don't need to wait until I have a problem again! Our past service plan with another company was overall "meh" and we could tell the company's employees were just going through the motion of collecting $ and not doing a through job. I do not normally write reviews of companies. I find that you typically have to take them with a grain of salt. But, this company is worth mentioning. We recently moved into a home in Murrieta. We are renters and our landlord said we needed to find our own bug guy. Well, in previous homes we have always done the bug killing ourselves. This time the problem was bigger than we anticipated. I hopped on google and found Local Bug Guy. I explained our situation, mainly springtails and they said they could help. When Matt came out to view the home it was noticed that we have a problem for sure. They said they could help and they have. Brent, who I spoke to over the phone and Matt who came to help are both great. We ended up needing another spray because the issue was so bad. They said that might happen and they were right. The communication is excellent. When they are done I get a text letting me know the service is complete and I do not need to do anything else. I highly recommend these guys.
